They probably won't work if you are easily distracted. That blur is just going to bore its way into your head until you go nuts. A friend of mine who works at a computer shop had a few and he let me try and i just couldn't not notice them. The effect is really really cool though.

This product is for a specific market, not for people looking to upgrade their monitor, but more for someone who already has 2000x3 dollars triple monitor setup and has to deal with bezels. Someone who doesn't want to buy the newest, best ultra wide monitor because he can still utilize his triple monitor setup.

Price is not justified, but same can be said about so many fucking things this argument should be irrelevant if that's the only thing we're targeting. It makes sense because this product has a viable target group and makes some sense with its usability, doesn't mean its gonna be a success (lots of things can be made into a success with smart marketing). Price reflects the target group.

4:27 That's a feature with Nvidia surround; it cuts out the pixels that would've been behind the bezels so it continues correctly. So in this case, you can turn it off and you won't lose any information (pixels displayed wise). And I know I haven't tried it, but I have a feeling it's an immersion thing, not a competitive advantage thing.

I feel like before hearing about this way back when it was announced, we never saw something like this, but man.....that's expensive for what it is. At $109 I figured it was a mini-screen or something to help hide the bezel but idk, that feels like a lot for what it actually is and like there should be a even cheaper option that does the same thing...

@@superultrathanksmom3845 OSX some would say is more unix than linux is. It is based mostly on FreBSD I think which actually branched off from Unix somewhere earlier down the line and Linux was basically made because Linus didn't want to pay for a Unix license.

I saw this video on my youtube home page and thought 3 monitors with no bezels. How is that even possible? I know given enough time anything is possible but no bezels in 2020? Doesn't seem likely this soon. So I watched and now it makes sense. The great illusion of no bezels. 😁 Thanks for showing us.

I think he’s prob overlooked this ... cause project cars 2 have triple screen options built into the game itself , FOV adjustments etc ... but then again maybe is It’s the original project cars 1 ... which has triple screen support but doesn’t adjust for side screen angles . Basically it is rendered as if it’s a very wide flat screen , however it not sure the angles he was running at would make this to much of an issue , 60 degrees is where this would become an issue
I'm not sure about the first game, but yeah, 2 has support baked into the game, without needing Nvidia or AMD utilities. It even works with mixed aspect ratio, which is something Nvidia can't figure out (iRacing gets it right too). I have wide-ultrawide-wide and PC2 works great with that.
Just skip triple montior and get a VR headset so you can get a stereoscopic display of distance, and the ability to look into/around corners!
And he really thinks seeing these lenses is less of an annoyance than just seeing the thin black monior bezels?
@@stanlee5465 VR is definitely fun and worth it, but sometimes you just don't want to be trapped in it, or want the better clarity of using monitors. When I started sim racing I exclusively used VR. But then I got my triple set up and I don't think I've touched my VR once since then.

Looks pretty sweet, however I wish there were more views like the segment at 4:24 It looks really good there but, I think the angle the video was shot makes it seem maybe more distorted than it looks when you're actually at the helm.

What someone *_really_* needs to make, is a device or software that takes multiple monitor signals, or virtual screens, and maps them into a virtual 3D space, to be viewed with a VR headset.
Granted, we'll need to wait for that new display panel technology to go into production, and be used in a VR headset, to get the best possible experience. But it should allow you to have your bezel free experience. If the actual solution is a piece of hardware, you could even take display signals from multiple different machines, and map them to the same virtual workspace.

Wow, I thought you of all people would have picked up on how you're supposed to set the monitors up to use that product🙄. You're not supposed to leave the monitors set in Surround mode with adjustment for bezel, you're supposed to setup Surround mode as if you don't have any bezels so you don't lose the information behind the bezels. The Bezel-Free kit then refracts the image with the specified angles to join the edges of the two screens without the bezel, that way you're not losing any visual information. There's actually really cool simple science behind that device, even though it's a bit weird.
