Any problems with pinkeye, cancer eye or reproductive issues? I know the standard ones used to have the problem many years ago but maybe thru genetics they have solved those issues. Those are the only issues I have known with Herefords. Other than that they are a very tame and healthy and almost maintenance free breed of cattle.
People say that . But we have kept Hereford on this farm for over 70 years and don't have a problem with any of that. I also have a Angus heard I have more fertility problems with them than the hereford, and as for pink eye I keep up on fly control and don't have any more problem with the Herford as I do the Angus.
Yes, selectively bred from Herefords. The miniature Hereford is quite popular in the U.S.A. but there are only very few in England, U.K., where of course the breed originates (I can only think of 2 Herds)
