- I’ve wanted to make a Silvally doll for ages. Thanks to Dollmotion and the Doll Fairy reaching out to me for another collaboration, I finally made time for this project! Just like three Pokemon trainers, we came together, faced challenges, learned new skills, and became better friends! An idea to make your armor a little more durable:
Mix a small amount of wood glue into the paint as you're painting it. It will dry firm similar to plastic and not only hold it's shape better, but also take a pretty good beating in the process. Not to mention you can also sand it without a problem!

@@Dollightful No problem! I went to school for this kind of stuff (but not on a doll scale) and I know it works! If it's not firm enough for your liking you can layer on more wood glue as well. You can also add it before you paint and water it down a little to make it easier to spread~ I've done this a few times in the past and it's really helpful for making things more durable!

From a cosplayer- here are some cool things that could be helpful for future projects like this! One of my favorite things to do when using foam is to use foam clay to make the details! You will need to seal it (I use wood glue to seal it) but it’s a great, lightweight, medium! Shoe polish can be awesome for weathering too! If you wanted to make the cuts/battle damage before you paint you can also use heat to basically open up the cuts (I think it’s really satisfying)! I hope you could use these at some point! This doll is so adorable! I love watching your videos while i work on my cosplay stuff it’s almost like I’m crafting with you lol.

take it from someone who transferred knowledge gained from the anime into the games. Ash never learns type matchups, so I didnt learn them until I played ultra sun, which taught me almost everything i know.
When Katherine says “ it’s OK but it could look better” but when you do anything Katherine, it looks so professionally done. Even just simple sketching.
I have to admit that I didn't like the design of the original pokemon, but I think it translated well into armor on your doll! He looks super badass and I love it. I imagine he lives in some kind of alternate pokemon world that's in the middle ages. He's probably been on lots of adventures as a knight.

I’ve been rewatching your videos at work and the meaning behind Silvally and why you made him has been hitting home for me. I’ve been overcoming a lot of difficulties with my childhood and having separated from my husband 3 years ago (which we’re back together and hoping to mend for the future…we didn’t have good people in our life creating the division). But when you said that love and friendship is what can overcome any trauma…that pulled at my heart strings 💖. Thank you for sharing your bubbly personality and creativity with us! How to scare your neighbors/husband/everyone you know:
1. Put doll heads in jars of liquid
2. Spray stuff on it outside the window where everyone can see a random (possibly decapitated) body
3. Let that hang outside your window, specifically on wires
4. And you've done it, now your family is trying to get you into therapy

There are no words to describe how fantastically magical that doll. No words at all. I’ll keep the lights and the resin for innovative inspiration. The lights and resin are as original of an idea as you can get. Again I can’t describe how amazing that doll looks. No words what so ever.

Honestly, the fact that Pokémon able of fully shapeshifting into a more (or completely) human form are mentioned once, maybe twice, then never actually have any importance to the plot really ever is upsetting. I swear, if I were able to host a roleplay chat well enough, that would be the main plot: just a bunch of shapeshifters that are kinda like the Irish legends of selkies trying to make it in a human-dominated world.
In other words, you inspired me literature-wise.
I had to come back and rewatch this because it portrays the pokemon so so well and I love the way the foam armour looks!
