Take a look at the 2019 BMW X4. It’s not quite what we think of when we hear the word “crossover.” With its sloped rear deck, the X4 (and the competing Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe) define a new category of vehicle. BMW calls it a Sport Activity Coupe. So why should you buy something that essentially claims to be a Sport Utility Vehicle… minus the utility?
Well, for one, the BMW X4 offers all-wheel drive at standard equipment, unlike the more traditionally designed BMW X3, which comes standard front-wheel drive. And drivers who prioritize handling will enjoy the X4 more than its competition, even if its 18.5 cubic feet of cargo space falls short.
BMW offers the X4 in two trims: the xDrive28i, which uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4 cylinder, and the M40i, which has a 3.0-liter TwinPower turbocharged 6-cylinder. The smaller of the two powertrains puts out 248 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, while the M40i enjoys 355 hp and 365 lb-ft. Both engines pair with BMW’s 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Apple CarPlay is also available via wireless connection to the BMW iDrive infotainment system. The iDrive system employs the standard rotary knob, but this year’s iteration also incorporates a touchscreen, allowing the user to mess with CarPlay the way Apple originally intended. Pair all this with an advanced safety suite including front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, and a slew of optional features, and the X4 starts to make a strong case for itself.

I drive X3 G01 but I vote for X4 as more sportier looks and just a fraction smaller boot space!
Must have are Driving Assistant Plus and Executive package with HUD, 360 cameras, heated steering wheel and more!
it is not an 8-speed dual clutch transmission, its a ZF 8-speed auto

My 2016 BMW X4 335i gets 18 mpg on a good day. There's no way a X4 40i gets 23 mpg.
Depends on how you drive. You may have a heavy foot.

Aesthetics is very subjective. I bought the X4 because I think it's great looking, not your typical boxy SUV. Love it!!
Hideous inside and out. BMW makes it easy to identify tools by the driver's of these. Yikes
