You must put some sort of skirt around the base of the run, chicken wire or slabs to stop the foxes digging under. And with the wooden house be ready for red mite .
Joe just a heads up put those panels on the floor of the coup as foxes will dig under and get your chickens

Great video Joe. Lots of Stoats and Weasels in Scotland so not just foxes. I would definitely recommend sinking wire into the ground around the fence, better safe than sorry .

Hiya mate just came across your video and subscribed to your channel, great video and exactly the type that I love to watch and wish to do myself. I've kept chucks for a number of years myself in a similar pen to yours. Just a piece of advice tho, nettles are one plant that chickens dont bother with at all and they will grow back happily within the pen. The scratching and of course the UK weather that will be doubt make it a mud bath come winter will help kept them maybe at bay but just something to bear in mind , all the best with the chucks because I wouldnt be without and that's from a guy in a terraced house in an urban town 👍
My pal puts sand down in his chicken pen in winter. Seems to help stop the mud.

OMG where do you get your energy from. You truly are an inspirational young man and such a lot can be learned from watching your videos. I’m new to growing veggies etc and feel like throwing the towel in because of this atrocious weather/slugs/rabbits etc but then I watch you and I think NO if you can do it under such harsh conditions then so can II. I wouldn’t mind but I’m from Yorkshire and quite a tough nut!
