Quite honestly, as a State side seagull i never watched the premier league let alone any football except for at most the world cup. when watching the world cup, Argentina & Japan were my go to teams (i mean USA never gets anywhere close in that competition 😂) When discovering Mitoma in the world cup, and tracking him in youtube i found he was in a team called brighton. now i thought "eh this must be some farmers league football" but then i realized its the premier league, the top one in england. slowly as i watched the games mostly for mitoma, i started watching it for other players like lamptey, march, ferguson, dunk, estupinian and so many more talents i realized "holy shit, not only am i a football fan, i'm a brighton fan" then as i learned more about our super rob dezerbi i realized "I'm more of a football fan than i thought". Even if we aren't performing in the PL like last season, we absolutely shattered expectations i think in europa and will do the same in the FA cup. i hope we can at least reach 6th again in the PL but im happy with above 10th place if thats what it takes because lets not forget brighton have basically a teams worth of injuries of key players.

This brought a tear to my eye, I wish my Dad was alive to see how the club has come on so far to where we are now. Brighton can beat any team in the world, never thought Id say that and truly believe it. Over the last few seasons we have beat Man City, Man Utd (sveral times), Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Newcastle, Ajax, Marseille. These are amongst the best anf biggest teams in the world. How long before we can add the likes of Barcelona etc to that list ??...wait and see

Born the year we made the cup final and were relegated from the old Div 1 in the same season. From watching on the terraces at the Goldstone with my dad as an 8-10 year old, to the Withdean in the rain to the Amex its been one hell of a journey to where we are now. My son was born the year we were finally promoted back to the Premier league and never miss a game despite now living in Australia... Special club, special people, special times... UTA
