    I know a lot of guys that do snow with their farm tractors and they only bring out the blowers when we get over a foot. One reason is maintenance. Everything that's turning needs more maintenance. Grease etc. And there's a risk of having with forgotten tools and toys. So what if take twice as long. Hooking up, maintaining, and repairing the blower would probably be equal. The only advantage I see is sending the snow farther away and it cuts down the volume.
    There's a difference in life between like to have and need to have. Lot of these CZcamsrs have equipment supplied by sponsors. Love the content. Go orange. Cheers from Massawippi, QC Canada.

    I asked you the other day the size of your pusher, you said 5’. I ordered a 5’ Friday for my 2601. I really didn’t want a blower, our snow fall in northeast Connecticut is similar to yours. I have no chains but with my loaded tires & backhoe on it I’ve not had issues with the bucket. I also have the new R14 tires that are great.thanks for sharing

    Good day AK! Some great points. If I may offer one important point you may not have emphasized, you have lots of places to "push" snow. Which means that a blade or pusher makes good sense. In my case, for example, I have nowhere to "push" snow, being the mile long driveway is tight to the forest. So I had to eat the bigger cost of a blower in order to clear snow from the driveway. But if I had open spaces to push snow, I certainly would have chosen the less expensive options of a snow pusher for sure. Thanks for the good info. Be safe and stay warm. Cheers!

      That's a good point Gord but you are right if I didn't have a place to put it a blower might work better. Thanks for watching

    That snow pusher seems like the way to go. Seems to work better than a front snow plow blade too! Thanks for sharing and stay warm!

    It is snowing 🌨 again. Maybe your snow moving is a bit early. It was nice of you to push the snow out of the the flow thru traffic. Smooth job.

    just subscribed and I think what you have is exactly what you want and don't let anyone tell you different. I just bought a brand new 2020 Kubota BX and a snowblower would be $3000 for my tractor and I can do it all with a small loader bucket and because my drive it also gravel I put on a set of edge tamers from R2 manufacturing and they will keep my gravel on the drive where it belongs. I really wish I could find a set of chains like yours though

    Snowblower completely worthless for our typical 2" snow dusting. I have a tracked blower and only use it for making dog trails in the undisturbed back yard once or twice a winter. I use pusher for parking areas and a plow for the road. By the time we get enough snow on the driveway to blow it's so rutted up and packed down that the blower won't touch it.

    Nice job, I do have a snowblower for my B2601 and am very happy with it. With the snowblower I don’t need chains so my driveway doesn’t get scratched up. In Wisconsin we maybe get the same amount of snow as you get but sometimes look out. Thanks for the video and explaining why you don’t have a snowblower!

    I Went with a snow blade on the front that I can turn from one side or the other with the front hydraulics and turf tires on the back that hook up pretty good .

    How's she goin'? Nice job scrapping the snow up Mike. Smart to getting it done before it all freezes. Those are good reasons for not having a snowblower. But I have to say, a snow blower os a game changer!!! Just sayin'... But then you would need a cab too!! LOL Take care!!

    I don’t think you would loose seat time with a blower. You can move more snow with the pusher and back blade faster. A blower may throw snow further away from the drive way then you may end up looking for material next spring instead of just pulling down your material accumulated from the winter driveway edge.

    Do you air down when you push snow for better traction? If so, what PSI do you run?

      @AkDadStuff  Před 3 lety +1

      Heyhey Michael Thanks for watching. My Kubota dealer doesn't have those kind of deals. And my choices are very limited as they are the only dealer in Alaska. And it doesn't snow enough to justify it.
