There are so many places to visit...I recommend The Heights Of Abraham, Eyam (Plague Village), Bakewell, Matlock Bath, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Hathersage and Little John's grave and Robin Hood's cave on Stannage Edge and all the cute tiny little villages in between....The list goes on!
Hobbies are seen as just for kids which is somethingI fully disagree with. I started Netball late 2022 and having a class to routinely go to, a bunch of people I see weekly has done the *most* for my mental health. I couldn’t run the length of my self and actually hate running, but if you put me on a netball court I turn into a human version of a golden retriever - I will do anything to run after that ball 😅😂 you’ve got to find something that appeals to your older self and your inner child, I swear by it. Even if it’s an art class, or weekly games night I believe the social sides of these events matter the most ✨
The bit where you talk about info overload on social, I feel it so much! I don’t think it’s normal to consume so much info, and recognise how much I add to that too, but I guess as viewers we can manage our intake. 🙌🏼
Italy is wonderful, such a good shout! We regularly go to Bologna - it had the perfect balance of tourism and authenticity. You can also do day trips to Venice, Florence etc from there.
Something that I think might help you in terms of ‘being able to see your abs’ is to look into anterior pelvic tilts. I’ve noticed that you might have one - I do too! The reason why they’re related is that if you have a pelvic tilt it stretches your abdomen and makes your abs harder to see and work on. The way it’s treated is by working on things like your posture. I spent a lot of my early life (when I was incredibly skinny) convinced that I had a lower pouch that I couldn’t get rid of - turns out it was a pelvic tilt. Anterior pelvic tilt are closely linked to neurodivergence and hEDS. Hope this helps you know it might not be your fault!
I think it's somewhat refreshing to hear that you didn't got any major work done in terms of fillers and so on. It creeps me out that it's getting more and more normal to just inject, lift and 'optimize' 😵💫
Ozempic 😂 that’s not even readily available in the UK. As for the medication- it might have an affect because it genuinely gives the ability to look after yourself. 0 motivation from adhd means= eating food & drinking alcohol just for the dopamine hit and not being able to get out of bed/off the couch.
My issue was always consistency. I think last year I just fucking went for it. I don’t really think my meds have much impact tbh, I stopped taking them in the summer and still managed. Might be applicable for others, but I will say it til I’m blue in the face - it’s cause I put in the work 😂
I do love you and love your videos but I do think you're in a position where you're lucky to be able to afford private therapy, gym classes, healthy food etc and these opportunities aren't what everyone has in 2024 and the cost of living crisis, those barriers do make it a lot harder than 'to just put the work in' also I'm very glad that you've now found a balance with your adhd and motivation but for some people it will never be as simple as just not wanting it enough when dealing with a neurodivergent brain.
I definitely agree that if weigh loss or fitness is a priority to you you'll just do it. It's such a foreign thing to some people. But that shift can happen. Sometimes we don't realize how we can just change and go, okay top priority. ❤ That's all it took for me too! You have two types of hard. Stay where you're at or do the exercise and reach your goals. Choose your hard.
