Abby, you are totally right about places like restaurants or stores not having changing tables in mens restrooms. Luckily some facilities have started incorporating them into mens restrooms. I love your guy’s channel SO much! Keep up the great work!
I agree 100%!!! Every store and restaurant should have changing tables in both male and female restrooms!
I would always be weary of changing tables they’ve done studies where there’s so much cocaine on the changing tables that I would not want to put my baby on one
100% I’ve even been in restrooms and other facilities even in womens that don’t even provide changing tables. It’s baffling.

The fact that you’re donating your breastmilk is so amazing. My youngest child received milk from a friend I went to nursing school with. She was 10 weeks early and I wasn’t able to make breastmilk and it’s made her into the happy healthy girl she is today
I can not imagine marrying a man that can't make a good living for me and my children. Having to expose our home life (let alone our children's lives) on CZcams is absolutely unacceptable. I'm so thankful! 5 children, a 7 bedroom custom built home and a beautiful faithful God fearing man. Women, set your goals high and don't settle!!!!!! You're worth it!!!!

I am no parent, but I have been around dozens of parents at my young age and helped deliver babies. One thing I have learned amd taught these parents is don't be afraid to step away from your child. You are a great parent and you are doing everything you can! Biggest thing is don't forget about your well being and life. It is okay to go out and enjoy a night with friends. Being a parent is a full-time job and a few hours to step away is okay. Of course if it comes down to it, head home and be there for your child.
You guys are amazing and doing great! Stay strong!
You two are setting some amazing examples of a great relationship, partnership and parenthood. I'm not even married but can see how life takes form in each stage and how easy it becomes if we have great partners!
No one will see this comment as I'm 3 months late but this takes me right back to my babies. They are now 5 and 8 years old. My oldest didn't sleep through the night until he was 3 years old. My youngest was much better, but I was much calmer so that helped too. These guys are doing so well. Being a parent is hard work, but it's the only job I've ever loved. All the best to all 3 of you. And if anyone reads this that has a baby that doesn't sleep.....I know how you feel and it will get better.

I was the same way with my first baby, Abby. Don’t feel guilty for the feelings you are having! You are just making the best decisions you can and you are still adjusting to motherhood. I didn’t wasn’t to be away from my baby for a few months but slowly I got back into doing things without her and she grew up to be a lovely young lady. Take care and give yourself grace.

Abby, there’s no shame in going back home to be with your child. That’s the sign of a great parent. It shows how much you love your son! (I’m not trying to imply that Matt isn’t a good father, I’m just saying that you don’t need to feel bad for skipping the event to be with your child.)

When I was 3 months pregnant the dad said I was on my own. My parents were amazing (I lived with them) after my son was born, I had really bad post natal depression. It went on for a few months and my parents said I needed a break, I was trying to do everything by myself, as I felt bad that I was living with them and didn't want to burden them. They booked me a weeks holiday and practically forced me to go. It was the longest week ever as I missed my son so much, but when I got back I realised I needed it and also needed to accept the help that was given!
Abby, you are right, it comes with momhood. I appreciate this video so much because sometimes I too feel like a crazy person when I’m so upset bc my baby is in distress, or so I think he is. It’s the worst! Keep being a mom rockstar!! 💗
You know what Abby is handling this much better then I thought she would with how her mental state was before even being pregnant. Her depression episodes etc so yeah was worried. She seems to be doing good for sure!
Edit: nvm I saw the end and her crying yet again. Yeah so she Def still has a hard time it seems. Also never ever miss night's out! Theya re important for you and your baby. Do not be an overbearing parent it won't help the baby or you it will do the opposite effect. It's good for you to have time away and good for the baby to learn it's ok also. It actually has a lasting effect with them coping without you being around and very good for both of you!
So glad y'all posted this!! I love hearing how life is as a parent for Matt and Abby!!! Very relatable. It's not always sunshine and rainbows and future parents need to see that. How you recover from hard emotional times is what's important.
A mother's love isn't crazy. It's beautiful. Its completely OK to ditch everything to be with your baby boy. Griffin is lucky to have you as a mum. 💛💚

I have been following you guys for a while and was so happy to follow your pregnancy journey as I was pregnant with my first son at the same time. My little dude was born July 15th and had his 2 month appointment on a Friday. My husband wanted to do a date night and I said maybe the next day because I was worried he would be extra fussy after his shots. Seems like that is why Griffin wasn't happy. Never feel guilty for taking time for yourself, but I was so happy to see the emotion when you went back for him. I feel the same connection to my little dude and it's good to know I am not the only one who cries when their baby is upset. You just want to take all their hurt away. Also my husband's name is Matt and is also really goofy so I really feel like I am living a very similar life to you right now lol. Thanks for posting!

Omg I tape my mouth at night too Matt and the benefits are amazing not only to stop the snoring but your nose warms and filters the air you breathe to stop dry mouth and reduce infections and viruses too. Plus you sleep better and the quality of sleep is better. As for you Abby I’m not a mummy yet but my heart broke for you when you left date night and felt so guilty. You’re amazing parents! Abby here is a dairy free pumpkin spice recipe you can make at home!! It’s not exactly the same but it’s pretty close.
On the stove heat up 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/3rd cup of water. Once it’s hot and melted together remove from heat and add one 14oz can of coconut sweetened condensed milk and 1/3 can pumpkin purée. I also like adding about 1-2tsp of pumpkin spice seasoning. You can store this in a air tight container in the fridge for about 1 week.
I love using about 4-5 table spoons miked into my coffee with some almond milk,dairy free whip cream, and sprinkled with more pumpkin spice seasoning.

1:44 In Australia there is usually a whole separate bathroom for parents to change their baby, but you will definitely not see them everywhere and i totally agree with what your saying.

Big places have family restrooms smaller businesses do not.
we actually have those too in america. its a seperate single bathroom that can be used by families or male/female. they pretty much always have a changing table. but I would say 30% of restraunts and other such places dont have them.

Abby this is first to your parents they raised and amazing young woman to be a great mom when you made the comment about being a mother and the top of the dress not being appropriate it brought me to tears. I was so proud of you for that and wish more moms felt the same. Even just young women in general heck even some my age that think showing all of your goodies is appropriate. It’s not appropriate I mean there are children that see (and think it’s appropriate to show more than enough) and learn from what they see and you and Matt set amazing positive examples for people and parents. You two should do positive motivational speaking and make it financially accessible to all.

It's totally okay to feel like that when I had my son and never wanted to leave I never trusted any other human being to watch my child still into this day you are doing great first time Mom always have that feeling that you never want to leave your tiny human because he's literally the best thing that's ever happened to you but it is also okay to get a little separation from them especially since you have amazing grandparents to watch them. Abby, my oldest is 21, youngest is 5. I left my youngest with my 18 year old over night to celebrate my 21 year olds bday and could not wait to get back to him! Mom of 6 here. And I still miss and worry about all of my babies! There is nothing like the love of a mommy! ❤

Don't worry about weaning him off of wrap naps, that happens naturally! Contact naps are BOMB for all involved. Wolfcub is now 2.5 and for a hot minute there NEEDED to have an ear over my heart to sleep, FOR EVERY SLEEP. But she's sleeping through the night in her own bed, potty learned & only when she really really feels like it will she sleep on us.
Also, that dress is fantastic, just get a bolero or dolman sleeve shawl if you're nervous about feeling exposed!
Also also! 15/10 love that you're knocking it out of the park with the Haakaa! I made 1/2 gallon to a WHOLE gallon with JUST the Haakaa! My then 19 mo old drank 1-2 quarts & we froze 2 quarts at a time with Babywolf (now 11 mos!)

i just watched the part where you cried over feeling guilty for not being home faster, and i’ve never related to anything more hah. i’m a mom of two under two and i just feel the need to be with them at all times, but it does take a toll on my mental health. I promise being away from him will only strengthen both of your love for each other. it’s so hard but you can do it abby
