    Yeah, another job for an OEM motor. Sure does make it a cleaner job in the end, same wire count, no reversing wires to hide, correct rotation, correct mounting studs etc. Great repair plan includes a new capacitor regardless if the existing one still works, its a better practice to put in a new one for peak performance.

    It may be annoying for people to hang around. But just like we watch these, some of these people may be interested in what you do, and they do have a lot of money in these systems and just want be around while their property is being worked on. Some may just to be around in case you need anything. At the end of the day, they are the paycheck. Love the content.

    Looks like a trane condenser, can't tell though lol. You can put the universal motors on that shroud, they have indentions punched into the steel for you to drill and they match universal motor mounting bolt patterns.
    It's always best to go OEM, but in a pinch you can easily drill it out with a step bit.

    • @WWHVAC
      @WWHVAC  Před rokem

      Okay. I didn't see the indentions. I thought about drilling holes but was concerned about vibrations

      @WW HVAC I do work for a few apartment communities around me and about 75% of them are heat pump tranes. Do it all the time, so long as you tighten it up its probably better than the factory bolts.
      Those bolts ALWAYS strip out when I'm removing them.

    Good video man, I’d like to leave a pointer for you though. That universal motor you had would’ve worked. The screws thread into the inserts that don’t have reverse threads in it. The screw threads themselves into the softer metal of the bell of the motor. Good video, I just subscribed!

  • @AllEnemiesForeign_AndDomestic

    One time I rotated the universal and use my black marker to make a template and drilled holes for the motor mounts. But the time it takes to measure and line up might as well go OEM.

      You are there on their property being paid by them. If you know your job you will be able to perform your and talk to them at the same time. That is another way to get word-of-mouth advertisement. After you had them wait 4 hours while you went on to another job. Non-professional. We have to remember where the mouth can make you or break you. Take it from someone that has been in business since the 80s and my company covers two states. Just a small company. I do not advertise.
