Excellent tutorial…👏🏻👏🏻 the problem players have is when they don’t have the ball it’s rush, press and panic to get it back…a game is 90 minutes listen to the instructions and be patient the way to go……people get impatient and then pick them off

Great video mate. Love the way you explain things. My one big take from this is I reckon I’m guilty of always being a bit too close to my opponents attacker. I’m pretty patient and do all the other things you mentioned but my distances need work I would say.

I struggle to defend fast attackers like Real Madrid and PSG. They win all the balls agaist defenders. Could you make a video explaining how to defend this kind of attackers. Plus, I suggest a video showing how defend in Corners. There are some players tha abuse from Kane and Haland header ability, even make unrealistics volleys. Thanks

Thanks for this man. X used to charge automatically to the player with the ball but that doesn't happen anymore. Have they changed the control for that?
If you are referring to legacy defending like on old FIFA, they've done away with that for online modes. If you mean this newest feature, I think they've tweaked it a bit. It's still very effective but you now have to aim yourself towards the ball holder and time it right, there's less lock on than before

Ah I don't press L3 bud, I just have heavy thumbs so my controller map thinks I'm pressing it when I change direction sometimes 😅

I was wondering if you could help me, I've lost my way of defending crosses. I play 99% pro clubs as some sort of defender, against the tall strikers who receive 10+ crosses a game haha. I feel like my positioning is ok, I'm 6ft6 also, got the aerial trait, but I just can't seem to time a header or get my guy to jump up for it. I've gone from advanced to tactical defending, om going back to advanced after watching this video. Just wondering if you had any tips of when I should be pushing the clearance button when a cross comes in, last year if felt natural to do it just before the ball was near me but this year I am lost haha

Hello mate. Would recommend lumping all the physical stats into jumping and adjust the weight of your player to favour this. It tends to matter more than strength. The Aerial+ gold playstyle is also really important.
Gameplay wise, make sure you are goalside of the player and try and get Infront of them like you see here. Above all else though mate, don't be too hard on yourself over it. Unfortunately the game always favours the striker and you are always going to lose the odd battle due to lock ons etc 👍

do we need to hold jockey when outmuscling the defender and using the X button?
You can use Jockey to line yourself up correctly but you are free to let go once using the X button👍

Thanks man. How do you stop the counter?
First point of stopping counters is to delay them. Block off the passing angles and just hold them up until your team are back in shape. Only look to press the ball when you know you've blocked the passes off

The appropriate celebration is always L1 R1 Skip for me. I'll only knock out a celly if someone hits me with one prior, it keeps it fair that way. Unfortunately this opponent learned that the hard way 😂

When I make 50-50 challenges or want to get back a lose ball, my opponents player always seems to regain balance before. Me
