Ps: My controls are custom, I use triangle for the charge because thats what suits my playstyle. If you are playing classic controls then you have the charge on X, on the passing button.

Ever since first starting the trial version, i have been using advanced defending, it suits me more, i always had a problem with tactical defending and even legacy defending, my player just followed the opponent and didn't push or do anything whoxh annoyed me but this advanced defending is helping. I am so excited that sometimes (not always) i can push them and overpower them, but let's just hope it stays like this, they don't change it with updates
Advanced def. is much better and gets u more balls. Also the pressing u can do with it in midfield or attack ist amazing🎉
I just been using Advanced defending since I got Fc and it just fits my defending style nicely. Even better than tactical defending to be honest. I’ve seen everyone suggesting tactical defending but it didn’t make sense to me. Well done man

No matter what the attacker slips past me even if I get the ball... They always retain it in a 50/50 as it bounces Back to them or the players rub against eachother till the balls goes to one of us. By far the worst fifa for defending I've ever seen. Not to mention the interceptions have 5x more than previous fifas

you change the contain command to triangle?
Hi @OvvyFC ,
To charge with triangle like you, do I go into button settings and swap the X with Triangle (Rush keeper out)? So then I rush keeper out with X and the triangle then does the charge?
I am using it at the moment and cant seem to figure out if it is working or not ( I am conceding more as its frying my brain trying to see if it working!

some of most weirdest unreal thing ever happened to me this yr... so after fifa 21 on ps5, i switched to pc and played 22 and 23 on it and didnt pack remotely any monster player on that account early or ever in general in the beginning of the game in fut.. i packed some crazy players but was always at the very end of the year like in july or august.. today i decided to go back to my ps5 account and decided to get fc 24 this yr on ps5 becuz im fed up with pc market being garbage.. i opened the essential 2k points pack with my 4600 pifa points. and saw double walkout.i was like ok cool nice.. at the very back green putellas was just sitting there. i was shocked and thought is it the loan becuz for some reason she didnt walked out.. on that same account i packed pele untradeable and fb tomori 700k when he first got released in fifa 21.....im gonna have some fun using her this early lol

Control for gk going out has been remaped if you changed like me the controls, best is to check your controller settings and see which button you have asigned for gk rush out.
Hey Ovvy, could it be that advanced defending is significantly less powerful since the latest update? Or is it maybe just my personal perception and the oponents just get stronger as I keep going up in Rivals divisions?

As you "charge into the player" by pressing trianle, what happens to your goal keeper
My gk button has been reasigned to r1 or l1 depending on each ones preference.
@@OvvyFC now I get, so when I want to charge and push the player I have to smurf the passing button

manual on none suits me better for self control. but if you're heavily dependent on ai then play on low
im told take advanced defending off if your bad at defending this is only good for elite players lol im so lost what to do
I'm sorry Ovinder but this "meta" defending is not for everyone. It personally sucks so bad for me (Div 4 player). To all-try it but be skeptical. Literally couldn't defend. Switched to tactical and game changer.
It doesn't work because the gk rush out how you managed to make it work it doesn't matter if i change the button it's still the same pls reply ❤
I use alternate buttons
If the keepers coming out your obviously holding triangle which is also the command to bring your keeper out but your holding it for to long if ur keepers coming out, just change ur buttons don’t use triangle because he is he said it fits his play style it wont fit mine so ill choose another button good luck

One thing does not work for advanced defending is that contain is not working any more, since by default contain button x changes to charge. If you are a little bit far from your opponent, press contain button will do nothing, your player will just stand still
Never use contain bro, it's the worst way to defend in any fifa.

@@OvvyFC no I rarely use contain before. But the in game menu still says x button is contain even if I choose advanced defending. It is confusing. I hope ea fix it.
@@OvvyFC contain isn’t terrible bro u need to know how to use it. When players are sending direct precision passes right on ur defender u contain so ur player stays locked on and quickly just switch back to jockey to stop those r1x broken passes on defense if u jockey u will find that ur player just either runs past the ball in those situations
