Switching players is genuinely tough to get right - even with Right Stick switching.

My worst habit is L1 switching , I feel like right stick switching is never accurate. It either switches too far or too close

I have been playing since FIFA 05 and thought I was a pretty decent player. Stopped playing for few years. Last year discovered ultimate team and now get battered on weekend league every week and realise how difficult it is to defend against good players.
Right stick switching so hard when used to l1/lb I personally can defend with l1 switching and read play but sometimes I just can’t defend at all
Player Switch became difficult from Fifa 20, its slow and it switches to the wrong player half the time

Clearing the ball with shooting button (circle on PS) is my way to go, always. Unfortunately sometimes happens that my player ignores my input and it drives me mad. Especially if said player have all the right attributes to be dominant in the box and in the air. Then it looks like i´m using a pass to a player next to me and it puts me into trouble.
Any one elsegetting the bug or whatever it is when sometimes when you attack and your players just stops goong forward and runs back towards the goal and you can bearly control it

It's so hard to let go of R2 ... I've been consciously working on that specifically for months and it's so easy to revert back to my old FIFA habits

Also i have beeb trying to get better at using R1+R2 cross , this used to cross down low in the past now it does specific location cross, i like that so i can pick and choose where to and who to cross exactly

Thanks but I have a question, I find it really difficult to control the L1 triangle pass… ends up taking 2-3 touches for my player to control it and the defender always get to me and tackles… how is it best to control when receiving the pass???
while receiving hold L1 on the direction you wanna go to make an oriented control. Helps a bit

I find the right stick player switching to be extremely inconsistent whether its player or ball relative and no matter the sensitivity. It always goes to the player I would least expect it too lol. L1 is just so much easier especially when u have the setting to see who are you switching to next. Nonsense "advice"

Tactics and instructions don’t work. I mean, you set them and nothing changes. Example, using “stay back when attacking”. You set this and no matter what…the player rushes forward on their own. Select forward runs or long balls…..players literally stand right next to you. Kinda annoying.
I think it’s bc some players are programmed that way. That’s why you have to look at the attack/defense - high/low settings and find a player that works for you

First and biggest mistake, playing this absolute clown of a game 😂😂😂
It has to be extremely difficult to master exploiting a terrible games mechanics and sprinting down the sideline to the corner while spending more on your team than what you're paid to be a pro all while having to promote one of the shittiest franchises in gaming history with a smile on your face.
You want real advice? Buy the fastest winger you can find. Boot the ball to the sideline, sprint down to the opposing teams corner and play a pass through the 18 for an easy tap in. You will beat 90 percent of players with this tactic until you get to a higher division where all you will run into is hackers and absolute sweats like this guy that spend 100k per year on their team and ruin the game with meta tactics and game exploitations. Also. Just don't buy the game.
