Wow this was so much fun! Totally different from how I do it but that made it even more exciting to see. I LOVE your schools!!! The elementary school especially, it's gorgeous 🤩 I love the different classes, the different options for each school day, and what a cool idea to use random occurrence scenarios. And how clever to use the institutional sign in order to pair the teachers' jobs with the community time mod ⭐ I recall trying out the Simlogical mod before opting for my alternative solution, and remember the frustration with the kids constantly getting up from their classwork, refusing to sit down and just work 😂 The aesthetics of the utilities also bothered me - especially the need for those pupil portraits. But how cool that there are modern meshes for them too, I didn't know that! That helps a lot for the immersion 🥰 Thank you for showing this, loved it

Yes the getting up from the gradework can be super frustrating, so using the homework places is definitely a great alternative. I haven't decided which one I like better - it's kind of realistic that the kids constantly get up and down but also not super fun gameplay wise... But I tried classes with everyone doing the homework places and that felt too boring 🤣 so I'll have to figure out the right balance! The ROS idea came from playing on Twitch, I grabbed a few ideas but I'm going to continue expanding it before I start using it. I just love using ROS's in gameplay to mix things up, makes things so fun! One I just thought to add was maybe like, "bakesale! - the kids spend all day baking today and on Saturday there will be a school bakesale to raise funds for some new equipment" ... That would be fun, get out loads of toy ovens and stuff hehe

About the students constantly getting up, I’ve learned a long time ago that they more prone to that when the teacher is playful. I pay attention to the teacher’s personality before hiring them. I’d rather have serious sims as teachers.
You make running a functional school look so easy! I could never really understand how to use Simlogical's school mods. I have to catch up on your Twitch vods, because your BACC hoods are just fun to watch.

Wow, this is awesome, and I love your school builds! I hope one day I can get to the point in a BACC where I have a school because I keep getting dissatisfied with my neighborhoods and the rules I'm using and starting over haha
I love your builds and all the CC. You can place the items on an owned lot like you do other unavailable items, just switch to whole sale mode, place, then use the for sale tool to unset for sale. I did that for my 1 community lot school in Pleasantview. My residential schools I mostly make them look like a school joined to or next to a house. The large school that I have on MTS, I built a flat on the top of the school. I need to start paying my teachers the wage as well as the school fees that I charge. I charge $50 per day per child and I have them send that at the end of their round on Moniques computer. The other thing I wish is that we could do is open the kids inventory. So that I could give them their painting or pottery easily. There is the inventory vase but its clunky and give gift doesn't always work. My school is less structured and more Montessori style, so kids do finish their art work if this is what they chose to do for the day. Still debating if I want to make the day longer with the clock, another thing I keep forgetting to install along with the more modern school items.
Chris Hatch also has a "Go to school" mod as part of his "Globe" system and Community Time Update. So now I'm stuck. I just adore the Simlogical stuff and now you've made it extra extra wonderful with these new meshes that look great. It's nearly 20 years, and I've still go so much choice and options that I'm stuck and don't know what to do. I think I'll test them both out using the "Any Starter" loading tool.(again updated for modern times, because this community is just great) Love your timetables, I'm stealing that idea,
Yeah I didn't realise that Chris Hatch had a mod until fairly recently!! I will have to try it out, I've never tried it or seen it in action before... Glad you enjoyed the timetable idea, I plan to flesh it out even further as the school earns more money and gets more equipment for specialised lessons!
Hey may I ask what is the "Any Starter" loading tool. Also, until now I've thought that the simlogical school had to be on a residential lot. Would this mod clash with the Chris Hatch school mod?
@@mikaaaaaa5 Any Starter was created by one of the great original modders Numenor. It allows you to load the game with different Download folders. So you can play a basic game just for testing content or you can create a Download folder where everything is medieval or sci-fi (roads, clothes, hair ect) As you can see it's usefully for bugs and crashes as well as special themes. Numeor kindly came out of retirement and updated for the Ultimate Collection. Hatch says the schools conflict, so you must choose either his or Simlogical.
For the paintings, you could try some of the More Functional Easels in small sizes since the smaller ones usually get painted faster. The Anoeska one I looked at says it's 3x faster.
I love this! I've always wanted to run a school but felt overwhelmed by the Inge School System mods, but you've made it so simple to understand so I will definitely be trying it out in my game :) I tried to download your elementary school but it just loads infinitely and won't let me enter the lot. Has anyone else had trouble getting it to load?

When I open my highschool, I plan on throwing a prom in the school gym! It won't be modded too much, I'll just have all of the teenagers come dressed in formal, dance, take photos, and maybe I'll choose a prom king & queen by rolling a dice or see who is the most popular (who has the most friends). I think it will be really fun!
If something’s not available on a community lot I just buy it on a residential lot, put it in my sim’s inventory, and have them take it to their community lot. But your way is better! 😅

I am planning an in-depth video (or maybe mini-series) all about my BACC! It will include a tour of the town, the Lore & history, my aging system, businesses, my spreadsheet - all the things! But I tried recording the first part of the tour the other day and accidentally recorded for an hour and a half LOL so I'm going to have to work out how to cut things into good bitesized chunks for CZcams 😂❤

Hi! So if you download the school, I recommend using "clean installer" to install it. You can select to install just the lot without cc, or you can install the cc too. The lots come with all of the cc I used when building them so it depends if you want to continue playing cc free or start to use some!

Thank you for this! I was really waiting for it☺️ Its definitely made me want to take another stab at it again in the future. I found the gradework ridiculously unrealistic and frustrating how they’d constantly get up like their chair is on fire but this has made me realise that theres still plenty of ways to run a school without the gradework or opportunity pack! I definitely under-utilised all the features the mod objects have to offer and tried to do too much manually and didn’t manage simple things like locking doors very well. Your schools are gorgeous, its so interesting to see the similarities and differences between the Australian and British style. Even though I’ve never been to Australia I can just tell how Australian inspired your schools are! Oh, and what was that cheat you used to load up an owned community lot in build mode?! I had no idea that existed!!!🤯

You could use heaps more hobby items too - have some cc microscopes for science classes, do pottery classes, all kinds of things! But yes if you hated the gradework (understable!) Try using the homework places, they are much better. I use them sometimes if I want the kids to have really focussed work time (like an exam or a test or something!) And that cheat, SUCH A USEFUL CHEAT, is very little known in general haha. I got it from TheJessaChannel - You type: LoadLot "lot name" - with the quotation marks around the name, include any spaces or apostrophes. So I typed: LoadLot "Bayland Primary School" and it loaded 😊

@@BellaDovah haha, I did work experience and Uni placement as a teacher and I think it depends on the age of the kids - the younger ones could not keep those butts in their seats 🤣 always getting up to sharpen pencils or get things from their trays or ask the teacher something or go and see what their friends were doing... Little wrigglepots! It would definitely be nice though if the gradework could be tweaked so it happened a little less. If I was smart and capable, I'd nerf it! (along with the opportunity pack haha)

With the looks of it they quit due to their fun motive often even when its quite high so maybe somewhere in the mod the fun threshold could be lowered🤔 I was completely confused and overwhelmed when I had a poke around the opportunity pack in SimPe though😬
@@BellaDovah I knooow, I think you've mentioned before that it is such a big and complex mod. If I could, I would make the school grade gain about 25% as quickly (or less, maybe even like 10% haha), nerf getting paid completely, nerf the notifications, maybe 25% for the enthusiasm gain as well... It's just TOO MUCH as it is
Pink soup can be triggered by having lots of Sims around for sure. But usually in my game my school lots aren't too bad - I might have gotten it once or twice? When that happens because of having lots of Sims on the lot, I tend to go into graphics settings and change the Sim detail from high to low. Turning off neighbours and neighbourhood decorations is also a big help if you want to play a lot with heaps of Sims - then the game has less to think about graphically and is less likely to cap out on that texture memory 😊
Does the trick where you put objects in a community-enabled collection still work for getting residential objects on community lots? That might be helpful for Mac users or ppl intimidated by SimPE.

Or a when you play with the other families you had to go to school again and again? Or maybe you have some global time mod and those playable at school days are counted for the kids? Thanks again ❤
Hey, so when I play the families with the schoolkids in them, they still just disappear to "black hole Sims school" but I like to pretend they're going to my school 😊 the only time I actually play the school as an active lot is when I play as the principal. Hope that makes sense!
Hi Kaitlyn, my spreadsheets are all shared in my Discord if you're interested, otherwise you can always pause the video at the spreadsheet section and copy the bits that you're after! 😊 I highly recommend making a spreadsheet yourself so you know the ins and outs of it, and have everything organised just how you like it 🤓
You only need one version of everything ☺️ so you could download the original mods and then the re-meshed versions and let the new files overwrite the old ones, or just go straight for the new files. Just make sure you've got all of the essential parts of the mod!
Can I ask: You have it set as a owned community lot and I noticed some of the kids earning business stars - does the business ranking make any difference? Do you play it as a ‘business’ at all? How are the kids earning stars?
Yes I have it as an owned "business" so technically the kids will earn stars from having fun and having positive social interactions at school. It's also handy because you can hire employees

Haha it can definitely be annoying - try using the homework places instead of schoolwork places if it's driving you batty, they should sit at the the homework places and not get up

Its interesting how some people consider the gradework behaviour realistic but its not my experience at all, we all always stayed sat in our seats in school! @@BellaDovah haha, I did work experience and Uni placement as a teacher and I think it depends on the age of the kids - the younger ones could not keep those butts in their seats 🤣 always getting up to sharpen pencils or get things from their trays or ask the teacher something or go and see what their friends were doing... Little wrigglepots!
It would definitely be nice though if the gradework could be tweaked so it happened a little less. If I was smart and capable, I'd nerf it! (along with the opportunity pack haha)
@@TeaAddict oh you just unlocked some buried memories with the pencil sharpening thing🤣 maybe me & my classmates weren’t as still as I’m remembering after all🤣 but yeah even so it is a little too excessive. With the looks of it they quit due to their fun motive often even when its quite high so maybe somewhere in the mod the fun threshold could be lowered🤔 I was completely confused and overwhelmed when I had a poke around the opportunity pack in SimPe though😬
@@BellaDovah I knooow, I think you've mentioned before that it is such a big and complex mod. If I could, I would make the school grade gain about 25% as quickly (or less, maybe even like 10% haha), nerf getting paid completely, nerf the notifications, maybe 25% for the enthusiasm gain as well... It's just TOO MUCH as it is

Do you ever get pink soup doing this? I thought if there were tons of sims on a lot that happened but this looks super smooth!
Pink soup can be triggered by having lots of Sims around for sure. But usually in my game my school lots aren't too bad - I might have gotten it once or twice? When that happens because of having lots of Sims on the lot, I tend to go into graphics settings and change the Sim detail from high to low. Turning off neighbours and neighbourhood decorations is also a big help if you want to play a lot with heaps of Sims - then the game has less to think about graphically and is less likely to cap out on that texture memory 😊
Does the trick where you put objects in a community-enabled collection still work for getting residential objects on community lots? That might be helpful for Mac users or ppl intimidated by SimPE.

Or a when you play with the other families you had to go to school again and again? Or maybe you have some global time mod and those playable at school days are counted for the kids? Thanks again ❤
Hey, so when I play the families with the schoolkids in them, they still just disappear to "black hole Sims school" but I like to pretend they're going to my school 😊 the only time I actually play the school as an active lot is when I play as the principal. Hope that makes sense!

Hi Kaitlyn, my spreadsheets are all shared in my Discord if you're interested, otherwise you can always pause the video at the spreadsheet section and copy the bits that you're after! 😊 I highly recommend making a spreadsheet yourself so you know the ins and outs of it, and have everything organised just how you like it 🤓
I'm a little late, but would you have to download the original meshes before the re-meshed versions?
You only need one version of everything ☺️ so you could download the original mods and then the re-meshed versions and let the new files overwrite the old ones, or just go straight for the new files. Just make sure you've got all of the essential parts of the mod!

Yes I have it as an owned "business" so technically the kids will earn stars from having fun and having positive social interactions at school. It's also handy because you can hire employees

That is the businessrunsyou mod which I have remeshed into a clock. Originally it is a hammer & sickle controller 😊

Haha it can definitely be annoying - try using the homework places instead of schoolwork places if it's driving you batty, they should sit at the the homework places and not get up

How do you deal with promotions?
I use a mod called "job stoppinator" which is a token that goes inside a Sim's inventory and stops them from getting promoted 👌

@@cnomi8447 depends on how the gameplay pans out ☺️ I'm actually thinking of creating 2 custom school careers for my teachers, one for primary school and one for high school, where they can get payrises... but otherwise no they might just stay as primary school teachers their whole career.
