Amy would be a much better and more plausible match with Leonard than Penny.
Leonard wouldn’t be able to handle Amy , if she talks to guys taller then him,he will whine and ask are why guys are talking to her in front of him.

that’s not Penny’s fault , that Leonard has low self esteem,
Penny told Leonard she only wants him and he still kept whining .
Heck Howard was a creep to penny ,in front of Leonard ,until Penny told him off.
Leonard did nothing, Howard made Penny feel bad,and she then had to apologize to Howard ,in which he tried to kiss her,
So she punched him.
At least when Amy was upset,or someone hurts her feeling ,Sheldon tries, to fix it.
I love Amy's confidence 😂
I wonder if Mayim ever just burst out laughing at some of the things she had to say as Amy 😂😂

No lie Amy doesn't look half bad it's just her personality gets in the way too much.
Okay, just commenting here to counter some negative comments. Amy is a wonderful character and the actress did a great job at enacting all the quirks of the role, especially during the later seasons. The way she was able to handle someone like Sheldon while keeping her own sanity and unwavering affection for him is a nice take on how such a relationship could work in real life.
Nothing against the actress here, They tried a female version of Sheldon,but it didn’t work,
She had to put up with Sheldon,and so did the rest of the group.
Penny had to put up with Amy,because she was friends with Sheldon ,
Amy kissed her on the mouth and asked her inappropriate questions,and told her inappropriate stories.
I prefer Sheldon over Amy . Glad they changed Amy ,
Amy had the patience of a saint to put up with Sheldon for as long as she did. Granted they did break up but that was the best thing that could have happened to strengthen their bond. It also put Sheldon in check
Amy and Leonard are my 2nd favorite platonic couple from the show (behind Sheldon and Penny). I honestly see them as siblings-in-law because I see Sheldon and Leonard as brothers. I also really miss when Amy was like that. She's my favorite fictional woman character ever. Mayim Bialik did a great job playing her
I don’t get those in the comments saying she’s creepy, she’s just cocky, self-absorbed and delusional ( at this point of the show). Sheldon had done the exact same thing SEVERAL times, S5 E10, penny was talking about a guy she never took a chance with and Sheldon immediately thought it was him. Then S6 E19, the girls went to ask Sheldon for the information about Howard’s letter and he immediately thought that they were there to hit on him. They both acted this way, you can’t praise one and hate the other. Weirdness in sitcom characters is a good thing, it makes them stand out and memorable, and allows them to play off of more normal characters. If anyone was weirdly creepy, it was Howard, Kripke and Stuart.
It's because these people think delusional confidence is great on men and annoying in women .
not to mention she grows out of that throughout the series
Imagine how different the series would've been if Leonard and Shelron wound up with different wives

Amy is easily my least favorite character on this show - she is just too weird and creepy. I feel the same about her actress, who no doubt, incorporated much of her true self into Amy, especially during the later seasons.
She is my least favorite female character. It didn’t work,for a female version,of Sheldon. She was gross,compared to the rest .

@@Lelo.MachakaI've seen her video blogs and in interviews and Jeopardy, although I try not to. She is just too weird. Furthermore, my mother says she looks like the Wicked Witch of the West, and I couldn't agree more.
Bernadette is way worse, she treats Howard like crap, she is terrible to her coworkers, she’s just rude and selfish. But for some reason no one ever calls her out on it.
