  • DOMESTAR connectors make it easy to assemble the wooden structure of a 2V geodesic dome. The connectors are made of 3 mm-thick metal, so you can use timber and joists for assembly.
The Domestar kit for frequency 2 geodesic dome contains 26 connectors.

Best instructional video I’ve seen. Do you sell the Connecters?

That's a superior-looking connector system. I like the thickness and details. The hole plan is superb.

What is the diameter and the height of this dome?

Can you think of any reason why I couldn’t use two sets of brackets per join?
Inside and Outside sandwiching the timber with a through bolt to compress join?
I realise that doubles the quantity I would need for a dome.
I plan on creating a triple skin dome with an insect mesh layer on an outer frame using ‘BuildWithHubs’ kit and inner overlapping polycarbonate sheets for rain proofing and inner adjustable insulating layer.
    This adds obviously weight.

Maybe they differ a bit in size, because of the angles. So, the holes might not line up.

Cant see a reason for insect mesh on the outside if you are using polycarbonate. You`ll need to be good at trig, the frame will be triangles and it will have a different frequency to the polycarbonate shell made up of polygons, not triangles..

If only there were a way to just type something like "dome star connectors" into a computer and have it search out the company for you.

A set of 11 for a 1V dome is around $115, crazy expensive :) I`ve always made my own from heavy wall pvc or aluminium tube, czcams.com/video/LnX2W2mgl0Q/video.html
