- Just a bunch of different clips I compiled of Broadway performers who ROCK vibrato. Including Julia Murney, Norm Lewis, Betty Buckley, Laurie Beechman, Anthony Warlow, Mandy Patinkin, Angela Lansbury, Colm Wilkinson, and others.
I think the thing that amazes me about Julia Murney is that she goes from one extreme to the next in a matter of seconds with a simple release. She's strictly straight-tone and then releases and goes into that fast and consistent vibrato. Also, Betty Buckley is one of those theatre voices the epitomizes the word perfection. Every note as it should be and just the right amount of vibrato!

Carrie the Musical was basically written for Betty Buckley's vibrato tbh.
I like Julia, but I don't really know about her vibrato. It's more of a Caprino, which is a very fast vibrato. It literally translates to "little goat." I love her acting though, and her Nobody's Side was fantastic.
agree with everything you say DivaBehavior. After watching Julia 'Chess', i can't watch anyone else in the role, same goes for 'Evita'.
