- While I embark on this adventurous eating journey, I am dedicating my first episode to some brave human beings who relentlessly are working towards keeping my city safe despite the grave danger. My journey begins with one such frontline workers, the Mumbai Police.
Mumbai Police has been very generous in sharing their Dabba with me. The Dabba offers a window into their lives. This informal shoot with the constables was one of its kind. I had a great time listening to stories while I enjoyed their delicious home-cooked food.

Salute & Respect !! I was new to Mumbai and I have been helped so many times by Mumbai police to find route to my destination. Once during rainy evening I couldn't find mode of transport to reach home. A police man seeing me struggle, helped to find an auto. My gratitude will remain lifelong ... I will never forget the love I received from Mumbai city.

So nice to see the everyday nature of police personnel on duty, their challenges (12 hours work schedules, travelling to work for 1.5 hours) and enjoying home made dabba - and performing to the demands of citizens of the city - the gruelling schedule, pressures - in an all weather conditions - lot of motivation to learn from - hats off to Mumbai Police

Sry sir my experience with cops are very bad. Most of them are corrupt. In my building there is one inspector who acts like gunda. He doesn't have manners to talk to people. Most of the cops are same. 50 % of cops in india are very humble and good, rest 50% are gundas.

I have conducted several workshops for Mumbai police and found out the "human" side of each of them. They have to act tough as its the part of their duty. However, most of them are simple, considerate, compassionate human beings who are on the mission "To protect the Good and to destroy the Evil" Sadrakṣaṇāya Khalanigrahaṇāya! I think this is exactly the kind of content I've been looking for. Try out a district hospital as well. I know it sounds unappealing but there is a real slice of life that you can find in the food around there, especially with nurses and duty doctors.
