Harry Caray asked Steve Stone that question in the opening segment of this broadcast on WGN, and he was right: the Twins came in with a 56-78 record and the Cubs were 55-82. Still, there's some fun stuff in this one if you're a Twins fan, including a three-run homer from Pat Meares. And in the random department, among the five Twins pitchers in this one are Rich Robertson, Todd Ritchie, and Greg Swindell.
    Of note: This was the Twins' first-ever game at Wrigley Field, with 1997 marking the start of interleague play.

    Thank god for the pitch clock!! Steve Trachsel (or mnaybe it wasKevin Tapani?) was known in these days as the 'human rain delay' lol
