Glad to see this video exist. So many people don’t realize those slots are even there or what they’re for (many beds have horizontal slots too so you can make a shelf for 5’ wide material or if you just need a shelf) and so many people think cargo management systems need to be complicated. I’ve seen plenty of videos popping up in my feed lately of DIY dividers with a lot of actual wood working and/or metal fab and all they really needed is a simple 2x8 cut to length. You can customize your dividers too with their own tie down points for bungies, etc, if you want to get fancy. And the beauty is, all you really need is a cheap piece of board, a tape measure and a saw… and you don’t even need the tape measure and saw if you can find the measurements online and your home improvement store will cut the boards for you!
The cost/effort to benefit ratio of a simple bed divider board is off the charts - probably my favorite truck accessory.

I agree, it is super beneficial and I wanted to put the vid out because of how many people I know that had no idea that their truck even had these provisions…thanks for the comment and I’m glad you enjoyed the video! 👍👍

Sir I've been doing the same thing you just showed for years.😂. I currently have a GMC canyon, I'm using the wood for one of the slots, and I have the adjustable bar too. Plus I bought a rubber mat to stop the sliding.

Nice!! Yea I have been doing it for decades myself…just wanted to put the video out for people who had no idea about some of these options, came up with the idea of putting a video together after realizing how many people I know had no idea.

No wheelies when you have cargo !
No racing when you have cargo .
Wife doesn’t know it’s a full race truck.

Being the multi-millionaire that I am 😜, I am not using the shower rod. But why after owning a truck for 20+ years have I never seen that ratcheting rod?! Perfect! I've used the board and it certainly works but it is useful half the time and in the way the other half. Granted, it is not super difficult to remove but it is just enough to annoy me. That rod is a great solution. Thanks!

Lol! Yea the ratcheting style works great, and I know what you mean about the board being a little annoying sometimes removing it for sure, especially if your truck happens to be lifted. Glad the video helped you out! 👍👍

I used the board for many years in my construction truck. I like the latest version I saw and old man invented or at least said he did. It was sold on Amazon but discontinued for some reason. Amazon said they did not know if it will be back or not. It was a flat piece of hard plastic with a piano hinge allow the back part of the board to hinge up attaching to with two turn buckles to the truck hooks on the rear and sides of the bed. When not needed, it folded down out of the way.

@jerryhubbard4461, I think you're talking about Mike Reid, inventor of the Truck Bed Slide Stop. I created Mike's videos and all of his marketing. Mike did take a brief break, but he just did a relaunch of the Slide Stop with an improved 3rd generation. It's back online at Amazon as well, along with a brand new video on CZcams. We're still making some adjustments to the listing, but it's available and in stock once again. I hope this is helpful, and thank you for the mention!
