  • This video demonstrates the steps for installing a surge protective device (SPD) from an application standpoint. We discuss the installation process starting with prep work, ensuring the correct type of SPD is selected, installing the SPD correctly and finally energizing the SPD.
    SPDs help reduce costly downtime and protect sensitive electronic equipment against the damaging effects of transients caused by lightning, utility switching, internal load switching and more.

    Looks like the transformer is extending past or close to the maximum depth of 6" past the the above equipment. But my question is this: Can this device leads be installed on the main lugs if there is no spaces to install a circuit breaker or for panel groupings where there are no areas on the side of the panels. I intend to mount it above and land the leads on the main lugs if possible.
