I've been riding for more than a decade now and got several big bikes. The new little 400 looks like so much fun. May have to go give one a ride. So been wanting a low cc fun bike for a while now.
Just picked my bike up last friday, practicong basic road skills have 70 miles on the seat. I have a question though i see most guys dont retain any digits on the clutch at all only touching the levers when they need to use them. Is this recommended practice? Ive been leaving a few digits on my clutch lever thus far.
@@ThouArtOfWar0724 yeah around windy roads like that I'd say theyd be that nimble they could keep up with the bigger capacity bikes. Looks fun af ripping on them.

It's easy enough to do when you're coming up on the turn, but what about when you get your body off and head and shoulders over? I'm usually still trail braking and engine is also braking into the turn at that point and it's shoving me forward. I did a track day and I had my front slip once because I was too hard on the bars and idk how to fix it except going slow lol
hey am in saudi arabia and our speed limits are more than the states at least thats how i felt when i lived in the states everyone likes being fast in saudi so i have a question since people in saudi arabia are all about the looks and the speed and even how loud it is is the ninja 400 loud and fast enough or should i stick to a 600 i know its not reccomended but our streets here and long a wide

@@lucid696 you will scare yourself learning and people who start own a smaller bike than upgrade to a 600 are better riders. Maybe you could also start on a ninja 650 thats like the TOP or biggest beginner bike
Yes anything that can go over 90 miles per hour is fast in my eyes. Honestly why would you need to go faster than that on any street anyway for reg commuting.

Get a sc project Crt Slipon and ride with it. The bike sounds amazing for a parallel twin! I guarantee you will love the sound of the 400 with that slipon.
What a humble accurate statement. I just spent all summer with a gixxer 600, coming from a ninja 300. Except for passing power on the highway, I prefer smaller and now that I sold my bike my next one will be a 400. Instant torque was nuts on the 300 and I still never rode a 400!
Idk I tried my sisters 400 and it was just boring even on regular drives having to go 4th gear just to he the speed limit and since I have alot of open roads getting passed by altimas and lifted trucks just wants that fun

Maxy how do you deal with being shoved forward by braking forces coming into a turn? I find it really hard to get the proper body position

im not no pro but id say stiffen your arms but dont lock them, you wanna keep a little loose still, and hug your tank with your legs/knees

@@lucid696 stick to a 600. The ninja 400 only has a top speed of about 125 mph and isn’t that loud.

Yeah, pair it with an exhaust and/or air filter or velocity stacks. But wait till you get comfortable with it if it’s your first bike
