      Spot fixing not match fixing. Hell get a very big ban but it's going to be very hard to prove he was actually involved. They've had months looking in to this and they have no more proof than when they started. If they find him guilty on the fact he probably could have been involved then it'll open up a can of worms where they'll have to look back through every big bet on players getting booked.

      Bit of a stretch it's hardly match fixing, even so what they're accusing him of is an actual crime yet the police have not once been involved. 🤷‍♂️. I heard a couple of weeks ago that Paqueta has had lawyers look into suing the FA for scuppering a lucrative deal to Man City by taking so long to investigate. They'll have to have some hard evidence to prove his involvement, not just the fact that people have placed bets on him being booked and he then got booked, which apparently is all they have so far.

If he wants to help some extended family or some friends get some extra cash, just give it to them out of your wages!!     He is not the only one. It is rife. Here in Australia 3 players so far for an A-League team, including the captain, (a Mexican) have been caught. Most get paid by Latin American Cartel groups. Sometimes, their family may be threatened too. Remember Luis Diaz for Liverpool. Maybe his father was taken due to him refusing to do what these cartel groups want. Gambling on sports should be illegal, except for maybe win or loss. But even that is a risk.

    What makes me laugh about this clip is how much they are stressing and making the point these are 'Allegations' he is 'Innocent until proven guilty' and they 'Have to be careful how they speak' as he has only been charged not found guilty of MATCH FIXING. Yet with Manchester City - 'Need to be relegated' 'Need titles stripped' 'Nothing but 115 cheats' Accusations and Slander every time the team is mentioned... Yet it is still only an allegations...       He didn't put the bets on. This is all because people bet big on him to get booked and he got booked. It will be hard to prove that he was involved and if they don't have 100% proof he was but still find him guilty they'll be opening up a can of worms.
      Also what they're suggesting he did is an actual crime and the police have not been involved.
      Heard a few weeks ago that this might happen and the FA are panicking because Paqueta is looking at suing them for scuppering a lucrative deal to Man City by taking so long to investigate.

      he hangs around in the favelas and poses with AKs in selfies.
      He is one of the people who suddenly made the maximum bet possible that Paqueta would get booked against bournemouth.

    Why does it take so long for these betting charges to drop on players? It took an age to charge Ivan Toney and even longer to ban him. Toney even got selected for England while under the cloud of these charges. Now we have Paqueta - it’s been known for many months he was suspected of gambling and only after the season has ended is he formally accused.

    Seems to me spot fixing is not changing the outcome of the game. So it's more about defrauding the betting companies. I think he'd get a fairer hearing at a criminal court where he wouldn't be convicted without indisputable evidence. I'm assuming the FA hearing can convict you on the balance of probability.     Whilst none of us are privy to all the information and quite rightly it is never wise particularly in the context of justice to pass judgement I have just watched the clip of the 4 yellow cards that are under investigation. Very very suspect yellow cards first of all but I was focusing on his overall body language and my impression was that this was a man offering very little protest to the cards and appeared almost content unconcerned 🤔🤔

      Harry Toffolo didn't get a ban because he was able to prove he was a gambling addict. Whether you believe that or not is up to you but there is a way where he wouldn't necessarily be banned from football
