Honda Rebel 500 Exhaust Swap! Diablo Twin Pipe Install!

  • Aloha everyone!
I have a 2020 Honda Rebel 500 that I’ve had for a bit over a month and I think it’s time I finally switch out the moped-sounding exhaust!
I got the exhaust from a guy on the Honda Rebel 300&500 Facebook page for an amazing price but link can be found below on other websites!
With the stock exhaust, the Rebel sounds like a moped(I’ve had one for years)... after removing the stock exhaust, it absolutely shocked me on how good it sounded without anything there! I kept pressing and installed the Diablo Twin pipes and it looks and sounds AMAZING. Definitely worth the price and the 15 minutes of work!
Tools you’ll need is a 12mm socket and wrench for the upper bolt. As well as a 10mm socket for the lower bolt. Easy peasy mod for your bike with the slip-on feature. I definitely recommend! Let me know if you have any questions or what you think I should do next to my bike!

Hello there, Elyssa!😃 That's one of my favorite motorcycles! And i love it for its Harley Davidson kinda look and without being so heavy and expensive.😅
Before the install the new exaust i thought: "She's gonna rev it without the pipe, i bet...."😁
You shouldn't had rev the bike without the exaust! You fell in love and now no pipe exaust sound will be same.😄
You know other bike that has such a pipe from stock? The Benelli TNT and the Benelli 502C.😉 Specially the 2nd one, is really pretty.😊
The background music was more like "frontground music" because it was really loud when compared to your voice.🙃
Congratulations on your bike!💜 Greeting from Lusitania! (Portugal) Have a great week and stay safe!👍😉

And yeah haha, as soon as I rev’d it with no pipe at all, I was absolutely AMAZED at how good it sounded! I feel like everyone has to try it out once before installing their new exhaust hahaha
Thank you for addressing the background(foreground) music, you weren’t the only one haha. I wouldn’t have noticed it unless someone mentioned how bad it was😅😂

I'm still on the fence about switching from stock since I really love listening to music on my rides without having to up the volume to max, but I'm looking for a sweet spot where it has some grumble, but isn't as loud as a straight pipe. Good stuff!

Hahahaha that’s awesome, well nice to informally meet you through the groups! I just REALLY wasn’t fond of the stock exhaust look😅 I get what you’re saying with music though! This Diablo twin is great with not being OVERPOWERING with noise like the V&H would. I think the Diablo twin or the GPshorty would be good for not drowning out your music as well as not emptying out your wallet!😁 but definitely no rush in choosing👌

Two questions how has the muffler been holding up a so far. I read some reviews where they said the paint started to chip off after a few months. Question two doesn’t interfere with saddlebags at all ?

    • @LyssaWithAnE
      @LyssaWithAnE  Před 2 lety

Thanks for the comment! To answer your questions, one, I also did notice the paint slowly start to chip around the welds of the muffler, but none that was big enough to notice when looking at the bike! And two, I sadly don’t have saddlebags, but IVE HEARD that you can’t run saddle bags with this type of muffler, just because of how it’s angled. It doesn’t allow enough room for saddle bags on that side… Sorry for the late reply, but I hope this helped!

Custom tank color? That’s awesome! I was thinking about painting mine… but the exhaust is amazing😊 or we’ll much better than the stock😂

Go muffler-less, paint the tips black, and call it a day!
Nah I’m kidding. No torque if you do that. Sounds nice though!

Should’ve removed the music when showing the before and after, could’ve heard it more clearly.

Wearing uniform during the video is a bit cringe. The music was distracting and made it hard to appreciate the exhaust sound.

Good video but your background music is annoying and too loud.
It’s that way on a few other of your videos too. Stop the repetitive stuff. Its annoying!
