- Hey guys, here's the first ever install carried out on my Honda Rebel CMX 500 Special Edition. I purchased a slip on exhaust which improved the sound, and gave me road presence.

I bought a 2023 Rebel 500 several mos. ago. I purchased a Coffman's exhaust pipe/muffler spacificaly for the Rebel. It sounds great with a low bassey sound and rumble even at 70 MPH. The engine does seem to be quicker to achive RPM than the stock muffler. The Coffman is only 1/3 ed the size of the stock. Coffman's is a family owned co. And made in the US. Made of SS. It comes with the DB killer which I left installed. I highly recomend it.
Thx for the video m8. Appearently my local Honda shop f'd up a repair job and they forgot to tighten the stock exhaust and so I lost it on the highway. Thanks to this video I could pinpoint the issue from my couch haha

Ya I'll put the dr reducer that came with the exhaust. Funny, the 2 friends I ride with have road kings so I'm happy with how quick and nimble the x is and after looking at your finished rebel I plan on going that route. The hogs seem to comberson, I'm ready to ride in about 3 minutes but it takes time to get those hogs lined up with the street especially jockeying back and forth in a confined area through grass and gravel.

I just got a 2023 Honda Rebel ABS SE. The Honda website says it comes with rear passenger foot pegs but mine has none. Did yours come with L/R foot pegs?
Cutting 2.5 cm from the exhaust is a major modification to a new exhaust that is supposed to be plug & play. At first I thought that the same exhaust is what I wanted but now, not so much. It does look good though. I just would feel more comfortable with a new exhaust specifically made for the bike.
Yes it came with the pegs. in Australia we pay less for single seat registration, therefore they have to either remove the 2nd seat, or remove the pegs to qualify. As the customer, you are provided those parts in case you change to dual seat registration later. The reason why AE exhausts are cheap is because they aren't export quality. The two exhausts i bought are perfect other than this mid pipe that had to be cut. It's honestly not hard to cut 2cm of pipe with a grinder. Remember though that this tail pipe is able to mount straight to the stock cat. The mid pipe is an addition for those that like the pipe sitting furhter back.
Hi Juzzie Did you try to remove the baffle from the stock muffler first to see if it improved the sound?
I did, it became louder but not bassier. Overall I like my newer muffler on my IG better as it has a more deeper basier sound
Hey Juzzie, man I wish you removed all the baffles so we could hear it in that mode too. Just wondering how it would have sounded.
Loudness 8/10, deep bass 6.5/10. Annoyance factor low because outlet is past seating position. My new muffler seen on my Instagram is same loudness but much bassier👍
Hi bro, I bought the same one just having trouble to fit it in. the mid pice is a wrong shape. where did you get your mid pipe? I would like to see your bike in person if you keen for a ride I live in GC.
Hey man you have to cut the mid pipe just like I did in the video. I cut about 2-3cm off the tail end of the mid pipe to make it fit. You will need to take it to a machine shop or someone with a grinder. When I. Ought mine it came with the mid pipe

I contacted them when there were only 2 left , both had deposits but one was not contactable so I got the last one 👍

Where did u get the padded seat , bought or custom made?
It's the stock special edition seat. It comes in either black or brown from Honda

American here, just wondering about something. You said you registered as a single seater. That isn't a thing here. What does that do? Does it make insurance cheaper or is it just a way to tax more for the latter?
Yes cheaper registration and insurance due to less risk of personal injury

Yes it should. I haven't fitted it in person, but when I had the 2 loaner 2023 bikes it looked the same.

There's too much back pressure now. Going to be bad for the bike
The bike has a factory cat welded to the headers. Anything after the cat does not effect the performance of the bike other than sound.
