Sorry to burst your bubble, but this comparison hardly makes any sense as the bari sax's lowest notes are actually a 3/4 octave above the bass guitar's. If you were to find a truly comparable sax to your bass guitar's range get a contrabass or even a subcontrabass sax, though they are VERY hard to obtain, let alone afford!
Okay but that is a Baritone, the Bass already reaches 6-7 notes lower, then the Contrabass at 6-7 more, then Subcontrabass 6-7 more than that. The SubContrabass is an octave below the Bass.
@@Xaviallin1 as a player of all four main saxes, being soprano to bari, bari is probably the easiest for me for altissimo. I've managed to reach higher in concert pitch on bari than on alto and soprano. I would honestly challenge any bass/guitar player to challenge me to a high note competition on bari, and I would 100% win.
the bass is one octave lower than the bari so it is lower but if you don't want to count that there are basses that have 5 strings and lower then the bari even if we don't count the octave thing even if that does not count you can also detune on a bass make it lower

You started the bass guitar an octave lower though lol
That was my very first thought too 🤣
Because the bari is pitched an octave lower.
@@Captain-mz6mg What does that mean? Bari normally plays in the 2-3rd octaves, while bass plays in 2-1st octaves.
It is pitched an octave lower than written. The bari goes from C1 to A3, the bass guitar goes from E1 to Eb3.
@@Captain-mz6mg No, bari goes to C2. If it went to C1 is would be a bass sax. Show me a vid of a bari playing a C1

Same with baritones they cost arms and legs to buy if you find a good one

this comparison was also just bad cause he started the bass off an octave lower than the bari sax lol

Normal bass beats it in lower pitch anyway lol

@@mrboxcuttercontrabass could maybe match a regular bass
For those saying the bass is an octave lower, let’s see who can play the highest
It’s gonna be the bari ofc. Altissimo is also a thing

Whats your technique for bari altissimo I cant for the life of me get any note out, only on alto have I been able to. @@natevailikit1536

La batalla sería más justa con un Bass Sax con llave de low A
Low A be like-
😭
5 string or Down tuning
Just play in drop C. I see people also saying the bass is already an octave lower.
Is this a joke? Bc there’s literally an octave difference between the two
Low b, bb and a has joined the party*
Bari goes to concert C2 if it has a low A. Written in treble clef!
baritone saxophone goes to C two lines below the bass clef, bass to E below that- 5 string bass a whole octave beneath the bari.
The bass guitar is lower.... you started it down the octave
Considering I tune my bass to F0 I'm gonna go with bass guitar.
Now try contrabass sax
Last note was not a low c its a low a
concert c
Bass Clarinet: Am I a joke to you?
I play a bass clarinet and bari sax and bari sax goes lower
Bass clarinet goes 2 semitones lower if it has low C extension and bari has low A because bari is in Eb and bass clarinet is in Bb

In reality bass wins cause you can tune it more fown bari only goes to low a so realistically, the bass wins

2 years late, now try with a 5 string bass and maybe a bass saxophone
Dip Shiz.
Do low A
You can go lower on the sax
Idc what the comments say, a wins a win when it comes to Bari Sax
The lesson here is: get a 5 strings!
Or you could spend a lot more money for a contrabass or subcontrabass saxophone
Whammy pedal dive bomb: 💀
what is the point of this video when it's not even accuarate.
A 5 string Bass would go one more note lower than that
Baritones lowest note is low A
