I love when you take something that we typically see as “bad” and help us see how it is an essential part of our wholeness and therefore divine in it’s own right. These are the kind of topics that bring greater understanding and peace. Turning a blind eye to these energies within each of us only causes more division. Thank you so much for sharing these “hard topics” in a meditative way so that it opens us up to reflect and meditate further on this energy within us all.

Really great to think of the nuances of Mars like this! A quote I like to repeat when I feel like I’m rushing into annoyance/anger or self-righteousness is one from Manly P Hall: “your attitude may be justified, but is it helpful?” or something to that effect.
I find it interesting that the Federal Election day is statutorily defined as the First Tuesday after the First Monday in November. Which results in it being a Mars-day of the second decan in Scorpio (ruled by Pluto in modern astrology).

#Grabbed Mars Conjunct Pluto - skateboarding in the middle of the day, I did six miles round trip and then some. Was able to stay centered the whole time! I’m familiar with this energy. Last time it conjunct I ran my first 2 miles in 20 minutes!
In Capricorn he also hides in offshore bank accounts and placements on the board of oil companies awarded to relatives of politicians, ect.
Acyuta-bhava, you are very good and I always enjoy your talks because you go down to the bones of the matter. In discussing War, it might be useful to look at the flip side, and I do not mean "peace", but diplomacy meaning--"the art of dealing with people in a sensitive and tactful way."
I mean that war is never about what is happening in the moment--it is like a volcano. The tension builds for a long time beforehand until it finally explodes. That is, in the human sense, it is a complete release of energy brought about by dealing with people (diplomacy) and then the release of that tension (war). Our archtypical urges are mirrored in out body by the energy in the body being released.
Your every day examples have enlightened me to my own hidden energy. Something I feel, but have never understood before.

#grabbed mars Pluto in the 4th. I am getting a ptsd service dog. I pick her up today. She is a Pitbull and several of the people in my family are afraid of the breed. I recognize the responsibility placed on the new dog to not only provide psychological services for me but also, on another level, for the people she will encounter around me. It feels like psychological warfare on some level.

Mars, Pluto, Venus conjunction are in my sixth house. Yesterday and today I had two different conflicts at work. Yesterday, on March 1st I had a conflict with one of the parents whose child I teach. I teach English online to children and I have an amazing relationship with all the parents of my students, even with this particular parent. But yesterday, she was very dissatisfied with how I approached her child and gave me a very bad rating (something all parents can do after class). Her feedback sounded very mad and very unrealistic because we didn't have a bad class, I consider myself a very good teacher and I just wanted her child to fulfill her potential. But I didn't react and I let it go... today, I had a conflict with my colleagues which was building up... one of my colleagues kicked me out of the mutual Skype group for no apparent reason, except the fact I was quiet and didn't communicate with anyone for the past 10 days because I was trying to avoid conflict... I let it go... I feel a sense of release in both cases... I didn't want to be part of the conflict because I know it would make things worse and I would be the only one feeling bad and stressed. I accepted the fact some type of conflict will happen and in this case, it was kinda fun to watch how things developed, knowing this transit is coming. I decided to be a bystander and not actively participate and be part of the aggression people in my environment feel during this time... was this a good choice or not, time will tell...
Very good choice- what you did was transcend your ego and turn the other cheek, which is basically taking care of your soul and valuing the peace our souls want. If you reacted angrily, your peace would be sacrificed and more conflict would be fueled. You can stand up for yourself best when you remain peaceful and calm, and we all benefit from more peace. You showed your inner strength.
You poked it in the nose quoting George, but Comedy. Because if caring and vexation are places where Mars hides, how could absurdity and humor not be?

#grabbed (Mars) - crazy day yesterday I confronted a man I was dating I really liked him, even went as far as introducing him to my adult children. Anyway to make a sad and long story short, this man confirmed that which I felt was true - he had a women at each port (he is a pilot). As soon as he confirmed, I felt a strong urge to replace him, like immediately! 😳. I cried about the loss for maybe an hour then signed-up for a dating site. I woke up this morning realizing this was crazy, I tried to cancel - it had only been 9 hrs since I had originally signed up, but the company would not let me back-out so I ended up cancelling my credit card, yikes!

Scorpio Rising...Mars, Saturn, Mercury, Venus all in my 5th house natally in the sign of Aries. War hides mentally in the mind...ups and downs...exhausting and exhilitaring.
Yesterday I found that covering the back of a door with a full size non-adhesive decal transformed its previous attack upon the senses into such exquisite beauty that I was for a time unable to stop gazing upon it in amazement and wonder about the mystery of what had taken place. An invigorating self-righteous confidence began unconsciously glorifying its merit beyond proportion, as if it triumphed over evil when this was just a door decoration. That's when I knew I'd been grabbed by a Mars archetype and it became humorous.

I wasn’t really surprised by 911. Similar terrorist attacks had already been committed in other parts of the world. I remember Paris and Rome specifically, and I knew about all our country’s crooked overseas connections/aggressions/interference. I snorted and said “it’s about time”. I had already written a poem a year before called “where are we going, do we have enough gas?”. It was just about driving around partying in high school, but there was a sentiment that something was really off with our consumption and American lifestyle. Tim Hardin predicted it in the 1960s. I met an artist who had painted it not long before but hadn’t known what it was at the time. I went to a peace rally the next day at Boston university. I dropped close friends who suddenly became racist bigoted war-mongers.

I do not know much about astrology, but I know this pluto conjunct mars is related to my mother, the second I was born I had an enemy, very strong one, it made me very strong as well, body and mind ... I have always liked competition, sports, play games, war games on computer, I have this appetite for self destruction as well.

Greek philosopher Pythagoras believed that wars started with the invention of knife to slaughter animals, and as he believed, there cannot be peace as long as people kill innocent animals. I saw this quote recently: mouths which talk about peace and justice cannot be the same which devour corpses of innocent victims. This is where Mars is - on plates.
This was an absolutely awesome meditation.
I have been having a hard time communing with Mars. The Ruler of my Ascendent in Scorpio, even more present in my 1H profection year.
And also with Saturn in Aries in it‘s fall I have really been feeling like I am at war with the god of war and that existence feels like a constant battle and wrestling. Feels like I am wrestling with god daily currently.
But this helped me find more peace. I really want to have a healthy relationship with Mars
This time in particular is a culmination of the impotence we have felt collectively in the face of the pandemic. At this moment, we are jarred out of this passivity. , Some things are worth standing up for and some things have got to be let go.
Right on topic! #Grabbed Recently reconnected with an old boyfriend. When we met, two hawks sat and conversed above our heads for over an hour. The quintessential warrior’s bonded pair. The passion and recognition were immediate, even tho 16 year’s separate us in years and conditioned social paradigm. We recognized later a lifetime shared during wartimes in Japan as husband and wife.
The Mix: His Taurus Sun ignites my Mars in Taurus opposes my Venus/Sun/Jupiter and Scorpio. The love-power-passion dynamic between us is strong and being met in that arena with respect, sensitivity and justice is the first I’ve experienced with a mate ever in my life. When we parted seven years ago, It was fast respectful, charged and a delicate balance… A recognition that if we stayed together the conflict would’ve been horrific. I remember the ritual of folding his clothes lovingly as he packed his car. Giving back the blanket we shared through all our travels. When deep respect meets passion and balance ensues, there will be peace. Honesty is the Blessing of Union 💕

For me the most obvious and ubiquitous place that Mars has hidden in nearly all human cultures on this planet for the past 5000 years or so is in patriarchal/dominator values and societies. Martian values, laws and power-holding are totally supported by male-dominated cultures the world over with VERY few exceptions. It is so baked-in to our existence that it is nearly invisible, like the water fish swim in. We can barely even imagine what this world might be like if instead of male-oriented dominance for the past 5000 years what would this world look like if instead we had chosen to embrace and emulate Venusian, LIFE affirming values, laws and power-sharing. Our senses of what we consider “normal” is deeply unconsciously programmed by these male/dominator models for human living that we cannot see just how deep the conditioning runs - individually or collectively. If Venus were more valued than Mars societies would probably not know poverty, child and sex abuse, or war. We probably would not know species extinction by our own causes nor would pollution and climate degradation be something we could even contemplate. Humanity took a wrong turn on our journey of evolution. Aggrandizing all the male gods down thru time at the expense of the Sacred Feminine has literally been killing us and now the ecosystems of the planet. When will we give them up? When will we renounce this system as “normal” and see it for the toxic death cult that it is?

I think it's important to make the distinction betweeen arousal during conflict of the fight or flight, vs the excitation of joy. Two very different things. So the state of excitement upon delivering bad news mught be better described as a state of arousal.

Grabbed: Venus/Mars/Pluto transit in the 7th. A couple i know, both cancer risings were each served with cease and desist letters today for harassment and intimidation of their neighbour. The transit also squares their 4th house natal plutos and saturn, ruler of the 7th is co-present in their 4th houses.

Great talk! My Mars is at 25° Capricorn and I'm feeling determined and ready to fight for myself and what I believe in with a new sense of empowerment! It's also trining my Venus/MH with transiting rahu conjunct. I'm pretty sure they have something more sophisticated then what we used to do on Facebook. I totally did that with my profile picture too when I was on FB...just like a bumper sticker on a car. 🤣 I don't do those things anymore...I'm not feeding into the current situation in Ukraine by choosing not to tune into anyone directly talking about it but choosing to hold peace in my heart (purposefully choosing not to be knocked off my center) and continue to create harmony in my home. I see War and Warrior's and even competition as a mis-use of Creative energy as Mars in it's most basic form his Willpower and associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra in some practices. We love to have something to measure ourselves against- a painter against a blank canvas or a sculptor against his clay- applying that to others is a misuse when we have so many other ways we can direct that energy.

Thank you for sharing! This episode gave me much to meditate on. I’m an alcoholic in recovery and through the program we abandon our selfish desires. It had me thinking if these selfish desires have been Mars showing up in my life. Coincidentally, I’ve been embracing the energy of the other malefic, Saturn, to create more structure and patience and boundaries for myself. While I am moving away from the “war zone” in my mind, I’m still very grateful for the lessons and opportunities to grow that Mars has given me. When we self-abandon, we move away from resentment, annoyance, egoism, etc.. We right size ourselves so that we don’t think lesser or more of ourselves than others. Because we’re all human just trying our best to be humans. We don’t have to be right or wrong. We just empathize and try our best to be of service to our higher power and our fellows. This was a great meditation! Thanks again 🙏🏻❤️

When I went to pick up my 10yo son from school on the 2nd. All the children were already gathered outside. Someone had smelled smoke inside and the fire department had been called. My son jumped in the car more excited than he’s ever been after school, “mom do you want to hear about my exciting day? We had a fire in the school and everyone had to get out fast. Nobody can even go back for their stuff.” He was bouncing all over the car in his excitement. Chaos ensued outside when the fire truck blocked all parents cars from leaving and everyone sat in the lot rubbernecking and visiting and trying to figure out what was happening. Everything was fine in the end, it was a false alarm.
I worry for my 20 yr old son who has Mars and Pluto in his 1st house he also has a Cancer moon. On the new moon he had Mars opposition. I'm a Cancer Sun . He is a big softies by nature but the red mist appeared in recent days and it hit my 4th 🏠

As Mars, Pluto, Venus and Vesta are conjuncting now this is an opposition that's exact my Sun. These 4 are also natally conjunct in the 1st Decan of Virgo.
I know this energy but it still feels different, probably because it's 140° between the current and natal Stelliums.
Often l go about in what l think is my normal, affable Cancer Sun and Asc modus operandi but what people see is someone spoiling for a fight or taking on vengeance over someone being wronged. I'm writing this at the 10 minute mark about you saying normalcy. What synchronicity! I apparently have death stare which people think is me out to _kill_ them when all I'm doing is going about my _normal_ intensity. But that's usually when I get incompetent service.😅
And l know this is controversial but with this Scorpionic-natured conjunction and the fact I have 2 planets in Scorpio are both Stationary Direct and Focalise, between them, 5 T Squares give rise to me being picked as a Scorpio way many more times than a Cancer. My SD Neptune is trine my Asc and my SD Jupiter is trine my Sun.
Fun fact: Cancer and Scorpio are the most alike constellations.
And l love the competition of sport. When l played Aussie Rules my favourite part of the game was tackling the other players. Smashing them to the ground, tackling another player means you gain possession of the ball, was such the best thing and playing the defensive positions suited my Cancer stuff. When l played cricket it was me v the world. I loved facing the fastest bowlers and loved the mental challenge of facing wily spinners. In tennis, I'd play even if it was 43°C, whereas opponents would wanta give up.

Even now I'm encouraged and emboldened by the people of Ukraine. If l was native to there I'd be leading a group in physical defiance of their enemies.

Esp, Great listening, for all who just put only one or two things on us, we who have Pluto in some, connection with Mars, or with difficult planets in hard/easy positions, in a time of a lot of war inside out or the opposite. We all have our own choices to make everyday. Staying in war, is no option.
When younger, I took every blame on me myself (typical wellbehaved brought up girl), nowadays, I have recognized, that its not only in me or my fault, sometimes, things or others, (all people are not always only kind sort of) do really "attack from the outside", then one has to go inside to find, the Peaceful Mode, towards a shared responsability.

#Grabbed Mars Conjunct Pluto - I have learnt that I have an auto-aggressive immunology disease and there is a risk that my thyroid will have to be destroyed with radioactive iodine. I have started water fasting to try to save it (and water fasting is believed to lower inflammatory markers and so it helps with auto-aggressive diseases).

I have this growing friendship with a guy who has this in his natal chart. He doesn’t know he has this. I have helped him to talk about this and understand it (I have moon/Pluto conjunction, and a Masters in Psychology…forensic psychology haha). He expressed that finally someone understands how he feels. His has mars/Pluto is in Libra…he has a hard time initiating and/or standing up for himself….so interesting he is. Trying to teach the fist in a velvet glove technique

I'm listening to this and wondering what your take would be on someone born early 1948 when Mars, Saturn, and Pluto were close to one another, (and all retrograde at one point) and squaring the moon's nodes. I've had (extremely negative) experiences with such a person, and since seeing their chart, have been curious about other people's experiences on such natives (if they know anyone who was born March 1948). "Heavyhanded brutality" would be how I characterise this feature but I'm still open to positive takes--IF anyone has met such individuals!
From the judeo-christian Bible we are told that man separated from God in the Garden of Eden whether it was there or at the Big Bang or something else once one became two ie two sides we had opposition and thus the warrior was born we are all Warriors although it seems when we live within the present moment our consciousness is somewhat stilled from that constant tug-of-war
