This is good, just not good if other team has bunch on Tempest and other classes with CC immune. Works best vs classes that can't break the CC.

Yeah against Tempest, the build cannot beat them. But for Team play this build is I feel the new meta. Compared to other builds, this scorch + arcane wind combo has a higher win rate in BG. Even if you dont get a lot of kills, you are for sure helping the team with the scorch knockback.
I'm using that scorch electric. Just don't go near to the enemy. Just throw scorch and then back away.

You shouldve went with the extra wind charge since with frostfield you freeze anyway on second hit and the scorch radius boost shoulders as it can block whole aisles and multiple enemies. Im glad you finally took my advice though and used my build. I died about 2-4x on average but my assist be the highest and i get 10+ kills
What is the second main hand in Apollyon's build? I've unlocked all MH essences yet I can't seem to find one that looks the same as in this video.
I thought I had figured out what Apollyon was using as Main Hand no. 2 but now I'm hot sure. Please let me know. Thanks!
What about using your trials build but modifying it with shield and mobility?
I use Frostfield, disintergrate, arcane wind, and and scorch for my pvp build.
Have you tried taking out arcane wind? Lightning scorch for head, and the 2 scorch essences for offhand. I use the summon beam aswell but with scorch
@@Nathan0910 Substitute arcane wind? or still keep but change the essence. I use 3 beams with fiery but might think on the summons. Be an interesting try.
@@Nathan0910 my New build went 17-1 and freaking wrecked the barbarian lol solo. Disintergrate with pants, 2 MH and pet shoulders, scorch with electric head and 1 offhand and added Ice armor with Shivercloak. Oh have armor that increase speed with ice armor in effect 3/4. Thanks for the idea !
I'm using that in my build along with arcane wind and frost chest piece goes well with the new leg. Gem
This build is VERY op rn for wiz. I rarely die, almost no class can get near me. Tempest does have the upper hand but i do take them down with me if it comes down to it. ❤
This scorch wont let tempest using flowing strike once hit.
I think they can use it still,, Necro, can also go into wrath form. Same for barb breaking CC and DH using Escape.
@@ApollyonGaming in my experience, its hard for me to get out from the scorch. Im a tempest user. Because the scorch give knockback effect. Maybe one try is not enough. Multiple try is needed to get out from that using flowing strike
@@ApollyonGamingSeems to be 50/50. Sometimes I can get out of it other times I'm fucked lol
I have pretty good success with this build. Even against the cc breakers. I watch the map more and stay further back. Dumping everything in one area does very good damage. It's very good for breaking through to the idols.
your best bet to kill Tempest as a wizard is to not CC, but to slow and dps them down before they kill you. They are only immune to crowd control, not damage. Use the new freeze Chest essence, Disintegrate pet shoulder, reduce damage pants, scorch helm new essence high damage to chilled, scorch off hand new essence, arcane torrent and missile new essence, tie this with 4 pc new set and 4 pc banquet. your kill on tempest will go up alot
I had better success in the past with the previous way that scorch helmet worked, but with Imobilization Nova on chest too.
Even with cc resistance/immunity, the immobilization nova can hit twice the same people, on way out then back to you, and maybe more, since it takes ONE of the tiny orbs to touch a person for that.
The old Scorch helmet was static, yes, but it had a 'continuous knockback' as CC in it, so people had frames of seconds to react if caught in it, as it'd make them smash skill just trying to move out with dash.
Right now, in pvp, if your class can immobilize people, specially with anti dash stuff in it (remember necro with the lance helmet? Or Monks' bubble?) you can deal with 95% of those dashers, pin them in place for death. That DH is pretty much using one of the old metas, since the escape's default behavior is to jump BACK, not forward (like with 1-2 of the shoulders). The CD reduction is from helmet and that doesn't make them dash 'forward' to, like, chase people.
The new frozen chest is good, but I think that since you're already freezing people with Wind, the game can mitigate other freezing stuff like from new chest, so I'd try and use the immobilization nova more in pvp at least (low CD, huge covered area, and the mini orbs come back to you, so chasers will get CCed in place, some time).
As for Tempest, I saw another youtuber already mention that they're more imune to CC, but not damage, just go with Disintegrate pet shoulder, and improve it with less damage taken pants, and/or more range, or torrent in MH too. PvP, specially as wizard, you'll likely deal more damage with Disintegrate/torrent in the long run than ANY other skill, or primary attacks. Primary, IMO, only if you can lock targets down, thru 2-3 skills.
Get rid of this slow time, add frost field to the mix, shoot all with the buff activated always, and STAY BACK!!! You dont need to shot scorch on them directly, it will move to them. And start the combo by shooting frozen buffed wind instead. Think ahead, dont rush! Then its easy win
Anyone other than tempest it’s and instant kill. Nerf needed for this. (Also needed for tempest of course)
