Hello from Wisconsin avenue Washington DC. I recently purchased 25 acres of land around the Akyem Oda area, I'm going back home for 7 months because I want to venture into the farming. Thank you so much for sharing
Agriculture cannot be left out when we are thinking about the future of our nation. I was a farmer before I left Ghana it wealth it but our leaders won’t support this massive initiative. I am gathering myself to start my farming in Ghana again.
You obviously do not know what you are talking about. Europe, America, and other governments help farmers in many ways. Uk government has farming recovery fund to support farmers and many other supports I cannot mentioned. They are many. US government suppprt farmers with alot of relief programs, Emergency relief payments and many more @greatmolass1543
@@greatmolass1543If government has nothing to do with farmers, then the government is useless. Who governs a hungry citizens. Is food security not a core duty of government? The same government made 2 billion dollars from cocoa farmers and you are saying what?
@@greatmolass1543Our leaders have a lot to do with farming.. they need to help by educating the youth.. also stop that career day in schools that the kids all thinks wearing uniform and working as personnel or a nurse.. they need to lay down the basic foundation.. just like how Addo D started this Dam project.. they should have got it done to help farmers, import more farming tools and sell them to the farmers on low price.. There are a lot our leaders needs to do for the youths to go back into farming.. me my self I’ve been thinking about going into farming but some unfinished projects are holding me back for now..
DJ . Thank you for such interviews. It will encourage the youth and to let people know that it’s not only about abroad. Good things are happening in Ghana as well. You just have to start
DJ, we need to put together 1. Investors, i.e., Those who have money to put into farming due to their unavailability or less knowledge in farming. 2. Those with the knowledge and skills like Prince can spearhead this large farming. 3. Large farming we need to do .
Farming is good but at times there is associated risk. The major risk comes from the buyers. I invested GH 30,000 for cabbage farming last year during the dry season but the buyers nearly killed me. They imported cabbage from Burkina and the price fell so l only realised 18000. I couldn't get my invested money let alone making profit. I will try again but this time Pepper or Okro. This was my first time of farming. Ive learnt a lot.
In farming 80% of farm activities is about marketing and 20% on farming activities, don't start farming without knowing your potential buyers and customers
DJ thousands of our youth take reckless risk each year travelling abroad when there are many opportunities back home. These programs will reduce such journeys DJ.
I was on this same platform telling people into invest in farming instead of paying connection men for visitor visa. The amount of insult they ruin on me
That’s global. Because of the high risk. In Africa it’s even riskier because some will take the money and travel rather than use it for it’s intended purpose
Is true South Africa do a lot of mechanize farming. They are the third largest country in the world to export citrus to Europe. if you see how they do their farming you will be shocked. From maize to animal and all kinds are done on large scale.
Bro well said but the issue is what he learned in School isn’t the position he is holding and therefore can’t do anything to help the the system and the office he is holding.
You see my problem with Ghanaians. You say you’ve been farming for five whole years and that within three months you can make profit of 50000 GHs. If your farming is highly profitable as you claim you should have at least one tractor by now and doesn’t necessarily need government support anaa?
Dj missed something he said. He was only doing poultry farming initially. Most of the labs was bare. When he let someone come on his land to grow bell peppers and he saw how profitable it was he kicked him out and now he’s doing same thing. Koo bibinii. Smh 😢
@@AMANFIFARMS hmm yes so when he saw the bell pepper was profitable he took it back after the lease was over And carried on. This sort of thing happens all the time
@@brownbabygirl and that’s ok, it’s his land.. the other guy can lease another land until he’s got enough profit to also buy his own land, there’s nothing wrong really.. he doesn’t owe the person who was leasing from him a land forever

Farming is best business in the World we consume food everyday
Why don't the Gov't give the seized galamsay machines to the farmers, instead of burning them. ? 😢

Banks dont support start up business in Ghana. They only come in when they see you have established and there are cash inflows from the business.
