So I’m a journalist and for a very long time now I’ve been trying to work on content to know what really happens in the Nigerian Prisons .... and judging from what this ex-inmate is saying... it’s not that bad.... but again, after some research done, I think the female facility is better than that of the male! Nice one Amaka , if you’re in Lagos, we could run a collab and work on something on the male facility, speak to inmates, see what exactly happens there and the govt side to it!
    Once again, Well done Amaka!

I'm very sure it's not same story with the men's jail. Give it to the Nigerian women, not much of them are given to violent crimes that leads to prison.

Nigerian Prisons aren’t as bad as you’d think.
In the last decade, conditions in Nigerian Prisons have improved tremendously. This is because of the activities of civil rights organizations.

Akwa ibom women are some of the most stingy women in Nigeria. I am very sure that contributed to her detention.
