I liked Termina Field more. It was more condensed
Hyrule field is about running around on your horse at night. This huge open space made a stronger impression on me when I was a kid than even Skyrim's world did when I was a teen. It was vast, it had superb atmosphere and it was believable. But video games will be video games, so of course we go "hurr durr Termina field is better because gameplay".
Zelda isn't Mario you autistic dweebs. Zelda is about roleplaying and poetry, yet no Zelda open space ever even tried to be as believable as Hyrule field was, not even the world of Breath of the Wild... but hey who cares, there's 120 shrines to clear and 900 korok seeds to collect, yippee!!!

@@samueld8413 Criticizing Hyrule field for not featuring "actual stuff to do" every 20 meters isn't having a different opinion, it's being oblivious to the game's point. Hence the autism.
I can respect people preferring gameplay over everything else. What I can't respect is their belief that good games cannot have you spend 2 minutes without finding or killing something. This belief has impacted every major franchise in the last 15 years, and generally not in a good way.
@@Octave_Rolland I understand that the point is an easy stroll connecting locations, but even something as simple as a few more patches of tall grass could be something optional to add a bit more interactivity to the field
Some of these seem to be scratching that vibrant, interesting 3D-Platformer itch I’ve had for a while. It’s interesting how many ideas fans can come up with for this bubbly bear and bird duo.

With how many Banjo-Kazooie ROM hacks there are, and how well crafted they are, it really goes to show how well the original game has aged through the years, good stuff.

Nintendo is very dumb when it comes to fan creations whether on CZcams or as brand new ROMS/Hacks. They could make millions more by supporting and nurturing creativity like this. Hell Nintendo should consider adding the Kurko guy as he is producing quality work. Instead they will most likely try to shut him down somehow we will see
@@MrGreed2000 It's a bit hard to tell if Nintendo could even take the projects down. I get that the level design and locations are based on their IPs and games, but other assets such as characters (with some exceptions), sound (it's in a Banjo sound font, so I don't think they would be concerned about that), and style of gameplay. Obviously Banjo is owned by Microsoft, so that would make it muddy.
@@MrGreed2000 This is why Banjo is so important. Nintendo may not allow fan hacks, but Nintendo characters are already popular they don't need any support. Banjo needs all the help he gets, because I don't think he is a big name like Crash Bandicoot.

I mean Banjo-Tooie also lets you play as Banjo or Kazooie separately... and gives you dragon Kazooie... and a multitude of new mechanics to work with so you can get even more creative with the gameplay... so yeah I'd still like to see Banjo-Tooie romhacks.

idk it may be nostalgia bias cause i played more of tooie growing up but i seem to be one of the few who prefer that over kazooie. i certainly appreciate a lot of what makes kazooie stand out and see why people would prefer it but tooie is more fun imo

Fun fact: there used to be a banjo "remake" in development where the characters slowly became aware that they are in a remake thus changing the events of the game. For example the termite queen coming out of the hill and Conga defeating her. It sadly got canceled. Guess which game it turned into. Btw it was called "Banjo X"

Jiggies Of Time is a romhack I wholly recommend. Really felt like a proper Banjo sequel set in OOT's world. The sense of humour is on point, the music is absolutely stellar, and it's rather lengthy to boot. Fun fact: it took 5 years to make Jiggies Of Time.
Really looking forward to playing Nostalgia 64. Kurko's extremely talented.

Ever since I was 10 and obsessed with banjo tooie, I’ve had dreams of a banjo threeie, I’m 32 now and I still have them, rom hacks are the closest thing to it
I'm actually impressed. So much just good shit in this I didn't think would be. Kurko really impressed me with his Jiggy of Time and Say at Home mods but even discounting Kurko's stuff, alot of shit are really consistently good. And to them, keep it up and keep going! I'm very interested to see just what kind of shit we'll see in future Banjo romhacks.

This is incredibly amazing! Banjo-Kazooie was my childhood favorite 3D platformer and to see it given new life with these rom hacks is fantastic. If the current crop of Mario 64 rom hacks now are any indication, I can see Banjo-Kazooie rom hacks just getting better as the game is cracked open even further. I look forward to seeing what fans can come up with in future hacks! As of now, I really need to start trying some of these rom hacks!

Isnt shrek already about tax evasion? Shrek lives in his swamp and revuses to pay Farquad taxes. So Farquad send him to get Fiona hoping he'll get eaten. Then Shrek comes back with the dragon and gets the dragon to eat farquad so that everyone else can evade taxes with him.
I know that having 451k subs isn’t that underrated, but I’d still consider AntDude to be a pretty good and underrated channel. Ant, if you’re reading this comment, I just wanna let you know that not only do you deserve 1 million subs, you’re awesome, and I hope you keep up the great work!

Did you know she's actually easy to beat if you know her secret?
Her speed in the second round of the race [at least in Cloud Cuckooland but probably in the mine cart race too] is based upon YOUR completion time in the FIRST round.
So if you want to completely crush her, just HOLD BACK in the first round, and she will be slow as heck in the second.

If Microsoft didn’t buy Rare, could you imagine a reality where Capcom or Namco had bought Rare instead? Imagine having Banjo and Kazooie in either Marvel vs Capcom or those Mario Kart Arcade games that Namco creates.
As for Bob-Omb Battlefield, I like how the hack for it essentially shows what’s basically the town long after Super Mario 64 happened. I’d love to see a game that calls back to previous areas by showing how they changed over time. Imagine if Cool Cool Mountain became a ski resort or if Dire Dire Docks was abandoned

from what I remember when I took my own look into the BK modding scene I think the notes collectables is because there was a very specific lock tied to something they couldn't change. It's been a bit, sorry.
I saw someone selling Kazooie and Tooie on N64, as well as an N64 cart for Dreamie, but I didn’t know what it was at the time. I didn’t know that hacks could have legit cartridges.

I'd love to see a Banjo-kazooie game with stealth elements, hiding and sneaking around, like you're trying to infiltrate Grunty's more secure dungeons and facilities while ''stealing'' collectables, maybe a plot where Grunty frames Mumbo and the gang and they have to get evidence from different locations, gadgets, mumbo transformations...

It's worth noting that the developer of BK Returns, SuperZambezi, is slowly but surely working on a full-fledged game, 9 worlds and all. He usually streams the construction of the hack every Wednesday, if I'm not mistaken. Right now, I think he's around World 6? Anyway, check him out!
I wanna play a game as banjos sister where she gets magic violin & each world has different music to use which will be 1 of the ways she can fight with different music sheets she learns from or an npc teaches her & in the end is a musically magical fight for someone or somethings freedom besides keeping the magic away from the evil witch
