I like the work they put into the continuity, characterizations, and lore. Ian Flynn definitely did his job.
Really appreciate a Sonic game finally acknowledging past events.
@@arogon8797 facts. I swear they never reference past events and I was so refreshed seeing them reference actual things from the past games.
All the character rerailment was a godsend after the past 10 years of Saturday morning "humor."
@@arogon8797 I like that they are not afraid of mentioning the stories of the bad games like Forces. No pun intended but it´s like they face their fears and work with the past that cannot be rewritten ( sry I dunno if thats how the lyrics went lol)
Tbh I'm not a fan of the characterizations in this game since I've seen fans that do skits do a more satisfying job of showing who they can be, but I'm not going to gripe over it since it is better than anything in the 2010's. Who knew it took a good writer to nail down comedy/toning the moment appropriately with what the scene needed? Looking at you Pontac and Graff.
This period in time is the closest the fanbase has had in unity
Hopefully this is the game that will start to bring the community back together
Wasn't that the period when Sonic Generations released? Anyway, I'm glad that the fan base is in unity again! We need more of these periods honestly!
@@sonicmaiden2871 IIRC weren't there people mad that the game didn't come out on the Wii?
Idk, we were pretty united in what we thought about Sonic's initial movie design.
@@thaneros I honestly understand that.
Honestly, Ian Flynn has restored most of the aspects that made me stay with the sonic community ever since I got my hands on Unleashed at 4. I'm gonna enjoy the next few games if Ian is continuing to write the Sonic stories.
I think he actually only did the dialogue for this game, but still, I know what you mean.
Have'nt finished the game but I am loving everything with the charachters so far. They feel like themselves and that makes me super hopeful for Tails as I'm only on the second island.
@@bababobo5067 Apparently, no; the game's English script was written first and localized in Japan.
@@videogollumer Ok? That didn’t disprove what I said though.

@@blametheghost yep, it runs terribly on steam deck😭
The characters have personalities again. It's great. I love them all. Everyone except for the person who decided to put Green Hill 10/30 levels
My only problem is that the cyberspace levels only have the same four themes, green hill, chemical plant, sky sanctuary, and a random city and also I'm in the second world at the moment and I went from 2-1 to 2-4 I think without doing the ones in between so I guess I better have my eyes peeled for that last one but those are really the only complaints I have about it
Frontiers is the best sonic game we’ve had in a while, it feels amazing to to run so fast through such a big area. I fought giganto yesterday and my God was it epic, it felt like I was already at final boss

@@DASH596 kishimoto has said he'll take feedback from fans for the next title this game wasnt made to just impress the critics but everyone
The "critical" people still tear this game apart but mostly for subjective reasons most of them tried to mask as "more objective"
@@novelty_thief The thing is, critics set out to critique the various *aspects* of the game. And there's a lot of individual parts of Sonic Frontiers that suck in a vacuum. But if you actually just sit back and experience it, the game is simply incredibly enjoyable to play. You can list 50 flaws with the game and make a convincing argument that it sucks on paper, but that's the case for EVERY sonic game, except perhaps S3&K. What makes the difference is how the pieces fit together, what's the moment-to-moment gameplay, does the game have soul, and does my face hurt from smiling after playing it for an evening. And Frontiers ticks all those boxes. Aside from SMT Strange Journey it's the most fun I've had with a game all year. And I'm a Xenoblade fan.
Sucks because people who aren’t sonic fans don’t really appreciate it as much as we don
It's a strange feeling to finally be among the ones to experience the next generation/era of Sonic as an adult, just like the ones before us grew up and experienced Sonic Unleashed, or Adventure 1 & 2 for the first time. Although I still have Unleashed as my top 1 Sonic game, I'm definitely confident in saying that this right here...this is cathartic. We needed this, Sonic Team needed this, and quite frankly SEGA needed the wake up call most of all. What a time to be a Sonic fan 🥹
I’ve been a Sonic fan in hibernation for the past decade at this point but when I downloaded and played this game, something reawakened in me that I thought I buried. The sheer exhilaration that brought me back to my childhood of playing SA1 and SA2.
This game has heart in it ❤️🥰
The community needed this. A game where we can feel chill and our ease. Thank you sonic team 😌 it doesn't even feel like the same team honestly
Something that I think everyone can agree that was great about frontiers was that it didn’t ignore the franchise history good, bad, whatever. And as someone who just loves all of sonic(except the penders era of sonic) I’m so happy this game acknowledges a lot of stuff from the franchise and some stuff I didn’t expect.
Not only frontiers is solid gold. But Ian Flynn’s writing ✍️ for Sonic Frontiers Has such good adequate of enthusiasm, but the amount of dynamism for the characters in the games campaign is such cream of the crop.
After Frontiers, I don't know if i can go back to the older titles. Even Cyberspace has a huge skill ceiling because of the new cancel stuff they gave sonic. Frontiers makes you feel like sonic and super soniic. I hope all super fights are like the titan fights from now on even if they drop combat after frontiers. I want super sonic fights with a combat system from now on. Frontiers is the best sonic game in the franchise imo.
I need them to add super sonic in open world gameplay in like a New Game Plus or something
@@joswasi4144 Man that would be awesome.
I feel they should release some patches for this game - it can be perfect if they do some of the following:
- fixed the pop-in... I have a feeling this is not gonna be as hard as people say... because the issue is less about pop-in and more about assets loading in an incorrect order... for instance, in most cases, you will observe an object that is further away already fully loaded in, and a nearby object not loaded in yet... and it loads in when you move closer - not getting into programming details, but it feels as if the render pipeline is just filling in the objects that have to rendered in an incorrect order... it seems like an issue that can be fixed in a few weeks at most.
- Fixed the odd bad collision bugs people have faced - again, should not be hard at all...
- Remove unbearable camera-hijacking in certain sections where the player loses camera control.
- Lower the score required for pinball boss.
- And like you say - Added Super-Sonic in Open World when you beat the game on Hard.
@@dhruvsharma6826 I hope they do an episode shadow type dlc also. Maybe some new cyberspace levels based on other themes
@@KnucklesWTD How about just ADMIT you want piecemeal short-form content. What is so magical about 5 years that it makes the 70% score game a good deal? Why not TEN years, anything less is anti-consumer, but the caveat being they need to churn out free DLC for two years. WHY NOT just lifetime subscription and you get what you get, pleb.
What people seem to ASK FOR, regardless what you say you want, is to skim as much money as possible every 5 years from people who might not otherwise buy ALL the games, for being "low on content", and AFTER enough people bite the bullet you get to sit the devs down to make DLC for NO extra profit, just off-disc content they can delete when the next webshop goes offline.
Because you already got them the money, out of the "just buy the game to support it, it's only every 5 years" people. Can't decide if you want to until AFTER you churn out $60. Assuming this game even gets half the sales as the most watched video crying about the bad hype in the IGN trailer.
@@sboinkthelegday3892 Uh... what?
I'm so happy, right now. After years of massive disapointment, the Sonic we know and love is finally back😄
This game is ALMOST everything I've been wanting for so many years with this series, it's great to see my favorite series and characters back to being themselves instead of trying to be a self deprecating meme machine, when the gameplay got revealed I wasn't happy but when the Summer Games Fest Footage was shown I got excited again because the person playing actually knew how to present the game in a fun way, and I am glad I decided hold out hope because this game surpassed almost all of my expectations and I have very little problems with the game, it can definitely get better tho, and I can't wait to see that.
Only played it for 2 hours so far and I’m in love. So far they’ve nailed nearly everything for me.
This game made me LOVE the sonic games again. I KNEW I recognized Ian Flynn’s writing. He saved the Sonic games while also addressing the flaws in the previous games :,) They need to KEEP Ian on the team🎉🎉🎉🎉 he’s an amazing writer ❤
Absolutely loving the game so far, just so fun to run around
This thumbnail is the peak of "We've made it", and I love it.
its so nice to see matthasnocuts improvement here in youtube, the video was very solid congrats! :D
So far Frontiers is dope! A couple patches would polish it up more, but the game is still good.
My mom was a BIG sonic fan and passed the PS2/PS3/NES To me and my sister. I grew up with the original Sonic games from a collection on PS2 and played everything there, I played all of the spin offs, all of the main games, even 100% completed 06 and stopped playing with the release of sonic forces.
Seriously I even watched the anime, read the Manga and comics and all. This game has brought out a huge child hood like excitement in me, I've felt so much joy playing the game that I haven't in a long while. When I go to work all I can think about is getting home to play this game, UGH IM SO HAPPY ITS GOOD!
If sega patches in the open zone physics in the cyberspace levels, that would be dope.
Agreed, the Cyberspace levels are so much worse to control than the open zone it feels so stiff
If they did that, the game would be 1000x more fun - because with the rigid controls it’s still fairly fun trying to s rank the stage. I can’t lie.
“YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS!!!”
That was basically me when we finally got a good modern Sonic game!
i’m impressed by this game. it feels like this is sonics renaissance, he’s finally making a comeback. This game is so good and well-told, the pop ups don’t bother me because I’m more excited about my next objective in the story. The game is perfect, but it needs a free roam mode, where u can explore any island u choose.
My excitement is immeasurable and my day is made.
I thought I’d never say this again but here it goes:
Great job Sega
Say that to Sonic Team, not SEGA.
@@streetmilk1 yes especially their shitty marketing and dlc purchase
@@loljay3281 SEGA just rushes Sonic Team and forces them to push out games regardless of how good they are, and the reason most Sonic games are mediocre or bad is because of the Higher-ups at SEGA. Oh, and yes, everyone just puts the blame on Sonic Team. This whole "Sonic Team doesn't care about what you want" is just putting the blame on Sonic Team for no reason, when it was explained multiple times that the Higher-ups at SEGA are the reason we don't get what we want.
I'm not saying that Sonic Team haven't had bad ideas or developed bad games, but SEGA is a pretty big obstacle for Sonic Team. Iizuka actually contributed to the length of this game, so that the game could turn out better. That, and Sonic Team is relatively small.
Great video. I'm currently playing Sonic Frontiers and love it. So happy to play a fun Sonic game again after so long.
Reminds me of how i felt playing Pokemon Legends earlier this year.
Sonic has a lot of momentum, you can launch super high into the air in multiple ways
That is the bare minimum I need in a Sonic game for it to be okay. Story is secondary to the FEEL of Sonic and honestly they haven't replicated that since the days of Blast Processing.
Ian Flynn is like 71% the reason why Frontiers is amazing because he proved in the comics that he is the Sonic expert and the dialogue was amazing and it thanks to him.
He also managed to repair a DECADE of broken writing by reminding everyone what the characters are. Knuckles is tough and a bit impulsive at times, and tails is not a coward.
Best story director to ever come to this franchise.
The exact reason why this game makes me super happy as a Sonic fan.
Kishimoto directed Black Knight?!?! THAT'S AWESOME, I freaking LOVE that game, janky gameplay and all
Yep like the ideas of black knight are great
Rlly hoped they made more games like black knight with new concepts
Great video. Great contrast as well. As a Sonic Adventure 2 main, I will definitely get into this in the future. (Ragnarok is out 🤷🏾♂️) Cheers.
i would love you to do a video to talk about the usage of super sonic in this game again, to take correct some things said in your previous video from when we saw suepr sonic in a trailer
because let's be honest, the way they handled super sonic in this game imo is one one of the best in the entire serie, it feels like we're playing with a mature veteran sonic who alreadys topped many world ending threats and has become proficient at his super form, just him throwing around titan decimating them, the banger ost, the gameplay of the titan bosses that truly puts you in the shoes of super sonic and how fun they are
oh and let's double back on the music, it's one of the best video game music, it's on par with Metal gear rising revengeance and devil may cry 5
Dude I am so happy with Frontiers. As a Long time Sonic fan from the genesis days, I probably haven't had this much fun in a sonic game since like..... Adventure 2? Maybe Colors? Maybe?
Absolutely love the game! Although I’m worried Sonic Team won’t be able to keep this momentum but I’d love to be proved wrong.
I’m glad to hear it has been well received so far. I will be starting my playthrough soon and I am psyched. Seen some channels like Sasso just bashing it constantly.
Aw-no! Not them too!
@@videogollumer yea, just saw them live-streaming and it was the final straw for me, unsubbed from them.
This wasn't a step in the right direction, it was a *MOON JUMP*. It's clear there's passion in this game and it's also clear that they wanted to innovate. I think there's some room for improvement IMO (Namely the final boss and combos. The final boss was epic in story, but the gameplay wasn't what I hoped for. The combos are amazing, I just wanted to use them more).
With that said, I could see a Sonic Adventure remake using this games engine and physics. Make the homing attacks a little more snappy and you got the basis for an adventure style game. I could also see them making a sequel or something like that to further the open zone gameplay, in matter of fact I really would like open zone to be the formula for a while.
I haven't had so much fun playing a sonic game since Sonic Colors, Generations, and Adventure 2
I’ve been playing Sonic games all my life (36) to me this game is an absolute triumph.
I couldn’t believe my eyes at what I was playing when i loaded it up yesterday, this is literally the Sonic game of my dreams and what I’ve been wanting for decades.
Im not kidding when I say it almost brought me to tears playing this.

This just in. Sega is hiring a ‘Lore’ expert. Sounds like they want to hire people who are big on video game lore which would be an asset to writing teams and continuity for sequels and/or prequels. What are your thoughts on that?

Ikrrr and Digital Trends is the absolute perfect example of how truly godawful most of these takes that reviewers have. That right there tells me that they’re Sonic haters there’s no denying it.
Because there's a difference between pre reception and post reception.
Sometimes games are a lot better received in pre released than post because at that point you're only seeing an earlier version of it but in post you'll see how it all comes together. And I'd say frontiers falls a little short of a good game due to it's issues.

I'm loving it. I can't put it down.
If 4 to 5 years is going to be the new normal for a mainline Sonic game, then they need to fill in the time for fans by working on 1 or 2 spinoff games. Not asking for the dozens of spinoff games they used to do in the Dark Age,but Sonic as franchise has a lot of potential that's being left on the table game wise. Like why not the bring back the Riders series? It's core gameplay was different enough from Sonic ASR that it wouldn't overlap.Another try at a fighting game, maybe in a 2d animated style, a DMC like action game,or Action RPG? And just outsource of all these to different studios suited for the job so it doesn't strain the main Sonic Team.
The next game won’t take that long. 2-3 years.
I have to agree on development times. If this had been released last year that first gameplay video that got torn apart might have been closer to what we would be playing.
this game is near perfect though
the only things i hate are
-the one time titan fights, i wish you could rechallenge them
-the lack of new game +
-that one puzzle before the first titan fight (if you know, you know)
other than that the game is a solid experience
-the speed is great
-physics are fun
-maps are fun to explore
-sonic and the others voices sound much better
-story is actually intriguing and doesnt feel like a one off story
-the soundtrack is by far the best ive heard this year
LMAO I KNOW WHAT PUZZLE YOU TALKING ABOUT. Funny enough I actually got it after trying so many damn times without the use of looking into a CZcams video for help lol. I literally yelled “YES!” when I finally managed to solve it 😂
I started to love it during the first fight against the titan and super sonic.
Sonic Frontiers is not what I want in a Sonic game, except for one part: Fans are actually having fun. So, for that, it's a success, and I'm happy. 😌
Respect, man. 👏👏👏
Gag me, don't settle for less fight for more.
@@matthewbraith0411 Ooh, kinky. Nah I ain't settling. I still think the game looks like dog and won't waste my money on it. But, I am happy that ST managed to produce something the fans and gaming community at large actually likes. It's nice to not be a joke for once. Also, I've been around long enough to know ST is incapable of making what I want, so I'm just making it myself. You go ahead and "fight" ST and see where that gets you.
I love the combat with Sonic doing more than just homing attacks he was combining punches, kicks, and more. The Super Sonic combat was also amazing I felt like Super Saiyan Goku in beast mode they better keep the combat like this moving forward. The Song I'm Here on the OST of this game is the best new original song for a Sonic game we had since Colors.
man something i keep thinking about in all of this is that kishimoto had to fight tooth and nail for a year delay and when i imagine the game this would have been a year ago i feel so miserably sad. it needed that year so badly and without it, i fully believe we would have had another crash and burn, ESPECIALLY when we're lucky enough that the switch port runs pretty stable. that would not have been true a year ago. ian flynn is getting his rightful recognition for what his writing did for this game, but i dont think enough people realize the impact kishimoto had by being willing to double down on needing that time in the oven and i'm genuinely really grateful. i really hope that if nothing else, this shows sega that that time was NECESSARY and that they need to trust the creatives making these products more to know what is needed to make them good. for all the hate kishimoto gets, it cannot be understated the impact i think that decision had on the end product.
but on a lighter note, im having so much fun, this game is such a magical experience for people who are genuinely invested in this series, and while i dont think the reception would have affected my personal feelings as a sonic fan, man, isnt it just great to see so many people having unreserved fun with sonic again? for the general consensus to be positive and hopeful and encouraging? the win is not just the game itself, but that in this moment, we can all enjoy sonic the hedgehog together without so many asterisks and so much baggage. i hope everyone who gives this game a chance can have even half of the emotions i have been having about it
that year not being there could have probably killed the sonic franchise off.
I’m barely gonna be able to start playing today, can’t wait
I don't think I've ever loved a Sonic game this much since Generations. Sonic Frontiers is such a phenomenon and it made me feel like I was back in the Adventure Era/Dark Age again. Here's to hoping for more Sonic games like this.
Twitter yelling and singing the lyrics of Undefeatable is all you need to know that tons of people enjoy the game
I hope in the next Open Zone Sonic game, they let you play as Sonic's friends
Yeah as a sonic fan this game is incredible, like i know it has some issues, pop in, weird lightspeed dash, and lack of environments in cyberspace, but i feel like they could be fixed over time with patches. I live the references, the story, the combat, all of super sonic, sage. Might be one of my favorite sonic games ever and i haven’t even played it yet
I need to watch the metarex saga again because this seriously looks like if the meterax saga was a game
I think it’s loved as it has so much cgi looking cutscenes and a good story. It’s also very long and has 2 types of gameplay.
I can't get Frontiers right now, mainly because it's too expensive and my laptop would not be able to run it meaning I need to get a more powerful, desktop PC. But the fact that it has momentum (according to the Sonic Frontiers Speed-Strats video), the Drop-Dash, and SA2's Soap Shoes, makes me really hyped and I can't wait until I can get it.
Just used the shoes for the first time last night. They look so good!!!
The fastest thing alive came with a bag when the new game came. Don't have my hands on it and can't wait to get it. Good luck Matthasnocuts, because you will need it to beat frontiers
P.S.A. if you don't like the automation try skips. honestly one of my favorite parts of the game. Also, boosting from below uprising rails gives a lot of speed, and jumping and boosting while switching rails will send you flying.
This definitely seems like a sandbox of a sonic game. I believe this game is testing a new formula to see how people like it. and I hope to see future games be successful using said formula with even more polish and liveliness.
The fact that Sonic frontiers is successful is just mind-blowing. I'm absolutely glad sega took all the time they needed to make a good polished Sonic game. Everything about the game is just beautiful
I'm so happy Sonic finally has a quality game after so much time!
Can't wait to get the game on this Black Friday!
This is what sonic needed to be doing different things and not always doing the same thing over and over again Ian and the crew did a fantastic job with this game. They also made Tails cool again. Not relying on sonic much but also learns to do things by himself and showing that he's growing up and is no longer a little kid but into a man. Amy and knuckles also got the justice they needed since generations and maina.
Amy's not a simp when she sees sonic and knuckles is not becoming much of a meme anymore. Frontiers is showing Pontiac and Graff that they really tried to mess up the franchise and told them it's time for sega and sonic team to get into more different ways to make the sonic content more and more popular and ways it hasn't happened before.
Sonic team and sega and Ian thanks for making sonic great again and hopefully we'll see more of this in the future here's to another speedy year.
Bro almost everything you said about the game I agree and say the same thing but I was excited for sonic since it was first showed tbh
This is my 2nd favorite 3D Sonic game behind Generations
Can't wait for my future kids to experience this game. I haven't been this happy about playing a Sonic game since Unleashed on the Wii when I was 7 =D
Yeah this is getting crazy. Big W for Users score only ( for now) lol
I am really liking the game! I hope that they keep improving it 🙏
for me morio kishimoto was always "The spinoff guy" not a bad director, just not a mainline director
I've been loving the game so damn much, it's so nice after Forces to see that modern-style Sonic games still work in this day and age. For the next game if they're using the same engine all I would ask for is improved pop-in and performance (though the game itself runs beautifully) and for more varied and colourful open zones, maybe something more city-like. Obviously I know that they were going for the digital world look in this game so it works really well but I'd love to see it. Also I feel they need to move on more from the nostalgia on the cyberspace stages, getting tired of the same levels in every 3D game since Generations, just changed ever-so-slightly. Finally, I feel that Sonic needs to stick with an idea for a change. They seem to think that if there are the slightest issues with their ideas, then they chuck it all out and start new. Refinement would go a long way instead, so I really hope that they don't take the criticism of the poor pop-in issues and go "ok, we clearly can't do that, yoink" and chuck their toys out the pram.
“Sonic Frontiers is a success”.
Let’s hope Sega sees it that way. I’d hate for them to let go of this formula all because of the Metacritic score.
They'd be pretty damn dumb to toss this out.
@@inkchariot6147 Well hey, it’s Sega. They’ve done similar things before. I hope they look at the reception, and not the reviews. Because even people outside of the Sonic fandom are having a good time with Frontiers.
Yeah and I really hope that they see the sheer amount of stupidity they’ve stated in their reviews. Literally take a look at what Digital Trends have said before! They’ve stated that it looked apparently good and now they come up with this bull saying oH iTs bAd, iTs nOt pLaYaBLe, lAuGhAbLe sToRy, etc. They’ve pretty much contradicted themselves and the same is applied towards many other critics who’ve reviewed this game and that’s exactly why I don’t trust most of them now. Yet all of us (including myself) absolutely love this game! And like you’ve said, even other people outside the fandom are enjoying it! Granted I’m not saying that it’s perfect but it’s damn near good and no one can tell me otherwise. So yeah I’m hoping that SEGA looks at the overall positive reception that this game is receiving (and very well deserved).
@@sonate6516 That reaslly sounds like they were paid to hate on it. If they made a commet about draw distance or something I could see it. I know there's different workers within a company, but you don't jump that degree in views without a good reason.
I love this game! The open zone, the collectables, the music, and the bosses. The only downside is the cyber space stages, the controls on those are janked asf and not in a good way but doesn't take away from the experience I had with everything else. The story was ok to me wasn't anything special but it was nice to see more lore, the interaction with the characters was really nice glad they weren't just joking around half of the time like colors.
There was nothing more fun than jumping off the rails as sonic going real high and speeding through the open zone it was never a dull moment for me, and the big bosses around the open zone was a fun and challenging touch.
Honestly Metacritic is even worse than Rotten tomatoes so I would'nt put too much stock into their numbers. There are still too many stuffy snobby type of critics to judge something like Sonic Fairly good or bad. Rotten tomatoes system isn't all that great either but at least you've got a good mix of people giving their opinions on stuff so a movie or show is given a fair netural ground.
i’m glad people are enjoying it, personally i don’t see what’s so special about it, but i’m happy that the sonic fans are enjoying it. i’m happy to be wrong about my skepticism, and while i may not get the game, i’ll continue to support from the side
I’m so glad that this game is a success. I’ve been having so much fun with it.
My favorite Sonic game is Sonic Advance 3, yet as much as I love the game, it really feels undercooked and in multiple aspects, and I can't help but imagine how much more amazing it would be if the devs put more time into it
My 4 year old son loves Sonic. We bought the game and are having a great time playing it. This is one of those instances where I decided to buy something regardless of reviews, scores, etc., and I’m glad I did. Review scores can help with purchase decisions, but your opinion of a game, your playing experience, is ultimately the most important thing and varies from individual to individual. My son is happy, regardless of what reviewers think, and that is all I care about…
Fake Account.
I was very skeptical about the game up till release, the pop in could use more polish, the automation at times can be a lot but you can balance some of those segments out with timing to land on to other exploration segments or rails that can take you to new parts of the world in a stylish way. What sold me when I actually began to play was the controls to how Sonic's movement feels, from playing Unleashed, Colors, Gens, Lost World and Forces, for once in a good whle Sonic feels good to handle and whatever adjustments I made got the feel I wanted, for that reason it felt great to play even if it still has it's issues in other areas. The story may be a bit all over the place (literally) but it kept me invested, and the characters actually act like themselves and not flanderized versions, you can really see Sonic has history with the others and cares about them in a distinct unique way for each.
In the end atleast for me the game was just an experience that it could even change your mind about it if given a chance.
This might be the first sonic game I play since the og 2d games.
I've NEVER liked any sonic game that much, but seeing what I see in this game, I'm definitely trying it.
It’s unfortunate that it didn’t get the review scores Sonic Team wanted at the moment. I hope it changes later on and that sonic team keeps up this formula.
I’m almost done with the game but damn they actually did it. Ofc it’s not perfect but man it was a blast. I’m also glad to see the characters focused more and fixed I’m just so happy with this success that I’ve been waiting for a long time.
Yep same here
although that it's truly fantastic that sonic frontiers turned out the way it is , i can't help but realize that some thing about this game's game design has some thing to do with how modern games are made the way they are , to understand my point , i think it's for the better that you watch the video "The Growing Pains of the Early 2000s (PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube) | GEEK CRITIQUE" to understand my point
also watch the video "The Fall of Sonic Team: Sega's Collapse, Crunch, and Chaos in the Early 2000s" seriously , this made me appreciate so much how much sonic took their time to make sonic frontiers the good game it is
The Golden Bolt video game me so much perspective and understanding towards Sonic Team dawg. Everything from the early 2000s until now has finally clicked with a lot of the video essays the Sonic community has been putting out these last few years. We will never truly understand how difficult video game development is and what role the community truly had on the Sonic game pipeline for the last decade imo
Well the Sonic cycle has been vanquished.
This time. Let's hope it stays that way, but don't be surprised if they somehow mess up again. That said, I am so happy Sonic Frontiers is loved by the majority of the Sonic Community and I will gladly await to get it for Christmas.
This Sonic game is good, so I will support it.
Just finished beating Sonic Frontiers and boy that game is good!
I got the game yesterday from my friends library (Because I'm In Turkey Its too expensive for me 700tl) but I got to play around for a bit. I heard that the story was great but I still didnt touch the story and just went around Kronos island for 3 hours and lost myself in the stunning enviroment and the smoothness of the controls and the combat
At first I was underwhelmed of the game. But that's because I was caught with the flu on release. Now I love it!
Yeah, nothing like actually being able to enjoy the game when you are physically feeling okay
@@overthinkingintrovert yep!
Ian Flynn is the absolute GOAT. So glad Sega finally gave him the reins on a main-series game
That's all I need to hear to know I should purchase this at some point.
The only I thing I wished where that the animations and model sculptures where better. Pleeease give us the run animation from sonic adventure 2 Omg that would make it 9/10
Been playing it nonstop and it's fucking fantastic. I think I already put like 6 hours and that's just me 100% the first island and doing 40% of the second
I like the game think how the map opens up could be worked on some parts could do with working on but I want more of the game
have you tried the fps mode because the game looks extremeley polished after you turn it on
