ModelChili Scale Models nice video
can you please make a comparison of the imperial star destroyer and this one? Im not sure which one i should buy
ModelChili Scale Models Dude you sound to much like a clone trooper.
cool
Can you send links to where I can buy the paints or can you just list them out?
Rare uncovered footage of Kuat Drive Yards employee building a Venator class Star Destroyer for the Galactic Republic (Circa 10 BBY)
You've exposed my secret! D:
not how time works in SW but you did a do
....Sadly 10 BBY was the Galactic Empire, not the Galatic Republic. oops.. Did I correct something? lol
what? he didn't make a mistake
Patrick Martel Mmm he did though lol
I really like the Venator class ships, they are my favorite prequal era ship.
In my opinion they are the best capital ships for any scenario
they definitely look the best
If lego would of done the class venator star destroyer, instead of the imperial one (www.lego.com/fr-fr/product/imperial-star-destroyer-75252) I would DEFINITELY buy it
they're my fav ship in general
I like the Executor SSD imo
The engines look great, as does the detailing. Your painting really made the model not seem so inexpensive and flat for certain. Cheers mate.
Thank you!
Chili: "I decided to keep it quite simple"
Me: *faints*
I think he’s a clone...
king kirb your mom is a clone
I'm just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe.
they did not understand the reference
@@xinweikoh1961 what is your problem?
ModelChili Scale Models Oof. He's Papa Clone
Looks like it just came out of the Shipyards of Kuat Drive Yards.
This guy sounds like a clone.
Slipps Dungeon he’s from New Zealand what’d you expect
He's probably a 🥝 like how all the clones are 🥝.
He’s probably is a clone and that’s why he’s building the Venator
I went looking in the comments to see if anyone else noticed
He sound like the narrator of the 501st but he’s aged
'Clone Trooper builds model of the venator he served in during the clone wars'
Yes
Yep
Dude, I bought an old set to assemble for fun and for the hell of it I couldn't find out what colours to use! Thanks so much for this video, the result looks really amazing!
Glad I could help!
Great videos! I have watched all the ones you have done for Star Wars models. I like especially how at the end of this one you lined up and went over what colors you used for the build . THANKS!
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying them. :)
yeah that was really helpful. im using his video as a guide to do my destroyer
Awesome, hope it goes well!
Man, i don't know why, but i just love watching your videos. Could be your voice, your talent, your way of working, or a combination, bu i could just sit for hours watching you work. You have just earned a subscriber! :D
Thank you! Really appreciate the feedback. Looks like I finally found a format people are happy with. :)
8:38 Well, we can be sure about one thing: that piece is not going to fall apart.
I loved that sound.
Out of all the Star Destroyer videos on here yours definitely take the cake! Amazing job! Super detailed and awesome!! Love what you do!
Thank you! I Appreciate the feedback. :)
Beautiful build, I'm so glad Revell re-released this kit as the design, scribing detail on the hull, as well as the beautiful sidewall that are just covered with highly accurate detail which if one chooses to light this kit, the design makes it easy.
Thank you!
Heya!
A Great Build!
The Coruscant Base is Inspired! The Simulated Ion Engines are Superb Proving That Not Every Single Model- no matter the Scale Needs to be Lit Up!? Yeah Great!
Best
looks more sporty than the normal star destroyer, far better looking
Great work, i think this scale is perfect for a lighting set for engines, position lights and large windows.
Thank you!
Torben Priess great
I can remember building one of these with my father many years ago!
He had done model planes and such as a child and this was my first ever attempt at a model.
ALL looks great, yet I'm pressed how how your painted lights look real! Thanks and love that stand idea.
Thank you!
Reviewing old videos I saved for reference, I gotta say- your base is so inspired! I definitely want to steal that idea.

I didn't think that Venators look so nice painted black
Give it's a forward facing SPHA cannon and it'll be a budget eclipse
Wow, looks amazing. I so wish my models came out like that!
Cheers!
The black Venetor looks gorgeous!
Absolutely awesome build of one of my favourite Star Wars ships!
Thank you!
You’ve done a fantastic job on this! I really like how you’ve explained your colours and the paint makes, enjoyed watching this!.
Thank you!
One of my favourite (the only?!) ships from the prequels. Great job, man, well done!
Cheers!
Your idea for the stand is great, and so well executed.
Glad you like it!
Eric Johnson 👍🏼
Chili - I always love a well done static model. Neat trick for painting the engines, in fact it's one of my go to air brush techniques for doing faux lit parts. LOVE the base. I like those R2 bases, they're fantastic and ready for all kinds of customization. I think your wash came out excellent. Well done.
Thanks! Yeah they're good bases, I need to get more of them...
I love that ship's design so much. Very well done!
Thank you!
This looks amazing, it makes me sad I could never get my hands on one. Great work!
Thank you!
Just got this model, I'm looking forward to building it. Thanks for the tips and weathering effects.
Thanks for watching! :)
Great idea with the stand.
I love how it turned out. I wish I had the time and skill to add this level of detail to my models
Thanks!
This is a absolutely amazing video for me at this moment as I am planning on building one of these in minecraft. And this is one of the best videos out there with a good look at all of the different parts of the ship.
Thank you! I'm glad you found it useful. :)
using this to learn how to go about painting an ISD I have coming, I've never painted models before. excellent work on the ship and the base
Thanks! Hope it goes well. :)
Amazing work, well done!
Awesome build and the venator will alway bee the coolest star destroyer

Hi. Just started modelling and enjoying your build videos from years gone by. Also that's great how you show the paints at the end. Very handy for everyone.
Cheers! Glad you're enjoying my older content.
I loved how it looked with all of the wash on the panels and all over the model.
Thanks!
Great looking kit. Nicely done.

Seconded!
"Kept it quite simple"
Absolutely amazing work! Looks like a dream!

Thanks for your help, I had it since ten plus years. I used the same colors, it looks really great. I'm very prout of it, I haven't paid for a long time, your guide was really helpfull !

Looks amazing !
Thanks!
You really did a FANTASTIC JOB!! I wish I would have picked one up when they were cheap.
Thanks!
Yeah. They're pretty expensive now.
But keep an eye out. I've just ordered the Imperial Class SD form Revell on Amazon for under 40 bucks instead of the 100€ !
That's wonderful!
Cheers!
Nice result! I'm just about to start building this kit, and I think I'm going to steal your idea for the stand - it looks great.
Cool concept for the base!
Thanks!
This looks incredible, great job!
Cheers!
The paint app you did on your base was a brilliant idea!
Thanks!
Nice, Much bigger than I expected :) and as always the painting/ weathering was superb...Especially the base..
Thanks! Yeah I'm quite chuffed with the base.
Masterfully done
Thanks :)
Lovely build!!! Really like the stand too! Thanks for the video; if I ever manage to get hold of one of these it will give me some great pointers.
Thanks! Yeah I love how the stand came out. :)
Mark Borner same this ship is so bad A looking my favorite Star Wars vehicle ever go to revel look it up and search in entertainment and you'll find it I'm getting one right now
WOW ,WHAT TALENT.....
First off, Great job on the kit! Especially when nowadays everyone seems to light their kits of this type. second great idea on the stand. and last but not least great video. Straight and up to the point.
Thanks! Yeah there's a lot of people lighting their kits, which do look amazing. I like to keep them simple and complete them in a week or two, so I'm glad it's appreciated!
Very nicely done!
Thank you!
Your stand is brilliant, great thinking mate
Thank you kindly
I’ve always been tempted to attempt modifying one of these kits to be more Clone Wars style, with the big dorsal hanger doors open showing the full flight deck and hangers inside.
Nice work, surprised that Revell kit looks so good 👍🏻
Cheers!
Why would anyone dislike this!? Great job, came out clean but weathered nicely. Some other guys went too far with the paint and weathering. Bravo!
Thanks!
Fantastic build and a cracking video. Thoroughly enjoyed watching.
Thank you!
Man I gotta say that effect on the base was a slick move. Crazy it didn't come with one but your take was probably better than anything included anyway.
Thank you :)
Excellent work one of my favorite ships.
Cheers! It's a great design.
God damn it looked stunning in all black
Amazing work, you make it look so simple.
Thanks!
It looks amazing, you have alot of talent and are very organised, i wish i had the patience for building models, i'll stick to modding guitars ! 😅
Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback. ☺️
Beautiful build!
Thank you!

Great work!
Thanks!
Fantastic model :) Brilliant!
Thanks!
Very well done! I love the detail!
Thanks!
I need this model on my shelf!
I found this while trying to look for a model venator. I really liked it and want to make one of my own
I know I am late to this party, and this seems like a reasonably old kit now... but the relative ease with which is goes together (perhaps you just make it look easy) astounds me.
The last time I made a kit, it was the old AMT/Ertl Enterprise and it was a right pig to put together and that has put me off building anything for many years, however watching some of your videos has inspired me to try again with some thing a little bit newer :-)
Cheers!
You should! New kits fit a lot better and have far fewer defects and issues. This one was pretty easy and straightforward to assemble, most of the work goes into painting.
Awesome work
Thanks!
Genius that is painting the currosont city lights on the dome
Cheers!
Wow✨ Great work!👍✨
Thank you!
Thanks Sam ! Look forward to view your next builds :) cheers!
Thanks for watching!
nice work beautiful ship
Thanks!
