A sports psychologist is all Daniel needs. Support, encouragement and for him to face his demons.It’s usually the most cheerful that are hiding the most turmoil. I know all about that.
watching this, i feel he’s more focussed on the entertainment and pleasing people compared to the actual weekend.
There's no way he can be off Lando's pace by a full 1 second. Something's not adding up.
it's not Daniel, he was on par or better than Lando the 2 races prior.. there's always some screw up

It will be okay and Australians never give up.....It's not in our culture. After the reported claims, he will be determined more than ever to focus on himself, progressing with the engineers and given the opportunity, more race wins.

I've been a lonely American F1 fan for a long time now, and it's been fantastic to see the sport exploding in popularity at home. Almost all of the newer American F1 fans I meet are diehard Daniel Ricciardo fans. I really think he's one of the main reasons why F1 is growing so much in the US. Even if he's having a tough time with the McLaren car, he's still the GOAT of PR, and I hope McLaren considers that before they make any harsh decisions about Daniel's spot on the team.

Perfectly captured the atmosphere of Silverstone. Every year it's got bigger and I've not seen the main stage and the Sky show on Thursday so busy as it was this weekend. So pleased to see many more fellow female fans, especially more people far younger than myself from different backgrounds.
I hope Daniel finds the sweet spot on the car. You don't just lose your talent, take Seb for example. Just hope he finds it with McLaren and doesn't leave the sport.
You both can and do lose your talent when the margins for victory are so small at the top; otherwise, there wouldn’t be ‘primes’ in each driver’s career. There’s so much more that goes into a Prime other than just pure talent..will, drive, mentality, fierceness…these change over time and talent can be molded like a muscle. It can be flexed and it can atrophy.
I’m not trying to hate and I like Daniel but I’m also understanding that McLaren has a team to run and hundreds of hard working workers, mechanics and engineers who also deserve to have their efforts rewarded, and right now, the margin (delta) between the two drivers is just WAY too great and WAY too consistent to be justified by excuses like ‘bad luck’ or blamed on the team, the teammate, the car, the boss, the conspiracy…all the likely targets when someone’s favorite perhaps needs to find his inner pace somewhere else, possibly outside of F1 and that is certainly not the death sentence you may think it is, it may be just what he needs.

Amazing to see how much lando has grown over the years!!! With his struggle with mental health I think he can see how many people truly love him !

Missing piece is the team getting the cars right for the drivers now. Dan has done all he can at this point. Hope they get a wind tunnel soon.

@@ryanag7473 but is Lando’s car a race winning car? They needed to listen more to Daniel from the start rather to suite a driver that has never won a race.
@ChumpyChicken2: not trying to start nothing but I disagree. While Danny Ric should and probably does have some influence, Lando is MCL’s future and has been there longer. And Lando has shown race winning pace before (Monza and Russia 2021). It’s like saying Red Bull should listen to checo instead of max
