Philes know her best as Monica Reyes! Watch Annabeth Gish answer fan questions and talk all things X-Files in her panel at X-Fest on Saturday, June 8, 2019.
I loved Monica Reyes from the moment I saw her onscreen. (I loved John Doggett as well.) Annabeth has always seemed like the nicest person. (Again, also Robert Patrick.) The way the actors and characters were treated by some members of the fanbase was awful. They were also treated poorly by the showrunners. Why would you name another, minor character, "Monica" in one of the movies, as though AG didn't even exist? The so called reboot twist of having her character working with CSM was ridiculous and insulting as well. AG has never been anything but gracious in the public appearances where I've heard her speak. They did wonderfully in their roles. The writing and the way M&S were written out was the problem. I loved the eps that only focused on them! I had no idea she dances!
We suggest that you watch the panel with Frank Spotnitz that we've also posted from XFest. In it he addresses how they didn't want - at least during the original run of the show - mistreat her character. Thanks!
@@xfilesnews The original show was no problem. The movie and the reboot are what bothered me in this regard. I'm still catching up on all these. Thanks for sharing!
I appreciated that there were some thoughtful questions for her. Too bad that (of course) they had to introduce lesbianism into a show that had nothing of that sort. Good grief.
And just to be shallow, holy cow, she looks the same as she did on the show. Did not appreciate the name of Jesus being used as a joke. But, this is Hollywood, after all.
SHE IS SO CUTE
Yes 100% agree

Totally ship Reyes x Scully 💕
They're two women. Nor was there ANYTHING of the sort on the show. Keep your sexual deviancy out of it.

No way that person named “Rachel” was a woman.
