For us, the beauty of living in North Sumatra (Indonesia) comes from a million small moments - discovering exotic snakefruits growing on the edge of a river, hearing the rain sweep across the lake towards our house, hiding under the covers as an epic thunder storm batters the island, meeting a young child leading his buffalo home in the evenings...
The best moments are often the unexpected ones, and we have so much joy hitting the road on our scooter to see what small treasures we can find in the beautiful villages around Lake Toba.

I love it guys, you are so natural it’s easy to get your excitement. Seems like the snake skin fruit isn’t meant to be harvested as there are so many spikes on that tree…wow! Great content as always and….I guess I may also be a bogan 😂 and that was so funny on 15:05 minutes 🤣🤣

Now listening at night to rain videos from Java to sleep at night. Homeownership in northern CA has never been affordable & businesses are closing as workers have very few options for living unless they are farm workers. How much is an acre or less outside Tuk-Tuk? Thank you Liz! The rain does add a certain extra layer of beauty, especially when it gets all misty. I'm not sure about per acre, but if you go far enough into the middle of nowhere, you can get one or two hectares for anywhere from 120 million IDR (about $12,000 NZD). Here in Tuktuk, you would maybe get enough land for a tiny home if you tripled it. Oh gosh - I think if you can get your hands on some ivermectin that can be taken orally, and sneak it into their food, that should take care of it! Hi Cookie! 😀🙏❤

Middle of nowhere in the US with heavy snow & high winds also available. Both of you are so good @filming. Is there a chance in NZ or is it a pipe dream? Can u stay indefinitely in Sumatra?
