    www.snowys.com.au/ground-chai...
For campers, hikers and festival-goers looking for compact comfort out in the field, the Ground Chair from Helinox is the way to go.
The frame is made from strong yet lightweight 7H72M alloy, and its load capacity of up to 120kg. Each section linked with shock cord for simple and fast assembly and this design sits lower to the ground and reclines for extra comfort. It also folds up compactly into an included carry bag for easy transport in your rucksack.
In this video, our gear expert Lauren gives you the full rundown on this lightweight and convenient chair. She starts out with showing you how to set up the frame and attach the chair sling, the specs and materials used and gives it a test run to see how comfortable it is when you recline in it.
Then Lauren demonstrates the entire pack down process to show you how it’s done - so check it out above for all the details.

Well done Snowys. Not sure if this is the same Helinox chair that i have as I am blind. Mine has the standard for legs, which poses one problem when using it on the beach. It has a tendency to sync, to combat this problem, simply get to tennis balls and cut them in half, and place one half under each leg. Works like a charm. The cots are fantastic as well. Love your work guys

      Thanks for the kudos, Richard.
Great idea with the tennis balls too. I think you may have the Chair One from Helinox which has four legs. The chair in this video is the Ground Chair which has a base that would perform better on the sand, but it is lower to the ground.
We've got a video coming up on one of the cots too, so stay tuned.
      Happy Camping! ~ Ben

How do you work out which pocket to put the stick in. It’s confusing and I’m looking at it. 👍

I like your tattoo's, just ordered this chair over the ones with 4 legs as I'll be on soft woodland.

How tall is she? I am 6'1, would this be to small for me?

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  Před 3 lety +1

I'm abit of a shorty at 5'7", Aerozg...it's going to be a longer way down for you, but once you're there I think you'll be comfy as.
The Chair One one could be a suitable alternative if you want something a bit higher up, as its got legs.

Would this be comfortable for me according to your experience?

I'd say it will be as comfortable as you would expect it to be given it will be a ground level chair with a tall person on top and legs straight out in front. It will certainly be more comfortable and supportive than sitting directly on the ground. ~ Ben

I´m an old fart 196 cm long and I tested one on our last field trip a week ago canoing. I felt better in the ground chair than the chair one (we brought both) as the chair one had a tendency of getting the poles sunken into the ground (did I mention that im 100kgs heavy). The ground chair did not sink in due to its smart base design.

neck pain is inevitable with these chairs.

I guess they can just be seen as a step up in comfort and support from sitting on the ground. ~ Ben

I guess you’re not an adventurous person. Please don’t leave your lounge chair, neck pain will result.
