Wow! Jenna Coleman doesn't even sound like herself. It was another person's voice coming out of her body entirely.
I'm one of those who think Jen can't fake an American accent as well as other types. In the few instances I've heard her use a generic American accent, it was passable, but felt a little forced and cutesy. But maybe she could do a Southern US accent, who knows... ;-)) (I can kind of picture her pulling it off. Maybe.) She's good at various British accents though, outside of her native one.
ZemplinTemplar She did do a Southern US accent on the Nerdist podcast.
i think jennas regenerated oh yeah shes human.
im british m8
Ikr!
If you have seen Jenna Coleman's auditions you will hear her doing an amazing America can accent.
I watched them but she sounded Irish. Her accent was adorable though.
HAHAHAHA i love that all the British actors went NY or southern and the americans went like oliver twist
I know! I was just thinking that American accent usually means 'Southern' or DeNiro impression...and then two of these men went into "You talkin to me?!" right out of the gate. Ha!
Holly Huffstutler
that's so true
I couldn't care less about accents... I see Jenna Coleman therefore I watch.
Four years old but same😂
@@unipigstudios7794 A year old and 3 am but same
@@MrScorpianwarrior I am currently typing this in the womb and I agree with this
01:26 that's the first time I've seen a carrot walk the red carpet AND do an accent.
I think Georgie's bad tan was satirical
they're comedians - he's called Ed Gamble
Vandrefalk 😂😂
a carrot? LOL!
Jenna Coleman voice sounded very legitimate
Ps I know she is British
Oh my god Jenna's was hysterical
Jenna coleman
Oh Wow!!! It's Queen Victoria and Prince Albert!!!
ah shit, that ruined Jenna Coleman for me... fucking royals, its not even accurate. Albert is this nice, not a cunt who hated the English, which he was.
JENNA YES.
~:~
JENNA!!!!
From what I can tell, the British generally attempt either a new york, southern, or valley girl accent. Americans generally attempt either a London, posh, or cockney accent. I generally go with London. >.
Cockney is in south London. And london isn't just one accent either.
englandfootball8 Cockney is East London, your other point is valid.
bellboy No, it's not. East London is where all the ghetto Jamaicans are you idiot. I've lived in London, your point is a failed attempt to make yourself feel smarter. I guess I can't expect that much from an ignorant yank, but I suppose those two words are redundant.
bellboy Im saing the East end accent isn't cockney you bellend. Learn some history? I highly doubt you know anything about our country.
bellboy Look up where cockney* originated from. Or are you too ashamed to? Is that why you ignored my* links?
I just saw Jenna and clicked😂
Little Liza Lover same 😂😂
i mean, obvs
Ironically, Ben Barnes can do the most brilliant American accents. He's been cast for American parts in various movies and if I didn't know he was British, I would never be able to tell.
Oh Ben Barnes, I love you. I remember when he said he watched Indigo Montoya from Princess Bride for inspiration for the Spanish accent of the Telmarines in Narnia: Prince Caspian.
This should have a caption telling what accent they were going for, cause for those I didn't know who they were: I had trouble knowing whether they were brits going for terrible american or americans going for terrible british...
Stein Gauslaa Strindhaug they were all in terrible except for Jenna Coleman who was meh but in her auditions usually nails American accents
The real British masters of doing an American accent are the singers. When they are performing a pop and/or rock song, they sound like they are from the midwest. Then when they sit down for an interview, they revert to their normal accent. Might be worth an episode on that phenomenon alone.
bbc america's dr who? no no no, its just bbc's
Jenna😍
You are definitely one of my favorite CZcamsrs now. I love your channel. Can't wait for the next video!
BBC America's doctor who - 😳 its British made and funded thank you.
It was created by Sydney Newman, a Canadian. You're welcome.
sweiland75 I know, but the original and the revamped series are seen as being different. The new series is based in Cardiff. Plus Sydney Newman didn't make doctor who on his own, most other workers were British
Reuben Addington
Relax! It's still considered as a British series. :)
It's a British show made by the British broadcasting company um it's ours yeah 😳
Siobhan, please up load more nice videos whit your nice accent and that marvelous manner of speaking !!!
you did a really good job for doing this video. thumbs up! cheers mate
The go-to American accents for Brits are always: "Oh my gahhhd" "hey yall" and DeNiro! What is that?!! Hahaha
*phrases, not accents hehe
Who else at 1:22 didn't notice that that bloke was Prince Caspian?
omg
Ben Barnes, quite charming as Prince Caspian, not so much as a Southerner. ;)
Tom's was GOOD!! 👏👏
Of course Jenna and Tom are together. #goals😍😍
Kudos for quoting My Fair Lady though
Wow, I love the intro!
1:28 That guy is more orange than Donald Trump.
He looks like a cheeseless pizza
Ed Get if you're interested. He's a comedian
American here. Can confirm, 0:57 was perfect. A shining example of Standard American English. Burgers are the best.
oh wow I love this channel more more MORE
I've met Sir Peter, in New Orleans if I recall. Nice fellow. Really nice in person. I think we was trying Kentucky. These are always funny, w/o practice.
Oh BTW, for a lower poster, I can find New Castle. I can find Cardiff and I can even find New Bridge. I also know what you sound like. You should try some of the South Louisiana accents for bizarre. Cool, but defiantly different.
Was... That...
CLARA OSWALD?????!!!!!!!
Yes. Jenna Coleman
Love Siobhan
I gotta say Hugh Laurie is still the king of the American accent, especially since his is pretty generic that fooled the producers of House thinking he was actually an American.
The king of the (on screen) American accent cannot be beaten!
I love Siobham! She so cute.
I can't believe they let you do that. Well done!
1:27 that spray tan though
This is absolutely Grand
Jenna sounds like Emma Watson in The Bling Ring
+luludelfine both bad but all in good humor.
Will you please do a video just on Cockney Rhyming Slang?
Seeing this after Ben Barnes did a great American accent in The Punisher is pretty funny
OMG Lea and Jenna 😂😂
Who was that completely orange man? What the hell?
He's a comedian called Ed Gamble but he was there as his persona Georgie Carlton along with his "sister" Poppy (Amy Hoggart). They have a show called Almost Royal where they pretend to be British aristocrats visiting the US. I'm pretty sure the bad fake tan was part of a joke.
+Robert J. Williamson sort of looked like ''the VISION !'' from the AVENGERS either that or an overextended stay in a tanning salon!!
At one time it was quite common for "Cheerio" to be used as a greeting or farewell.
Saw Anna Akana's video before this and now I see Georgie and poppy!
I love you and your name Siobhan
Not knowing most of them I did not know where most are from and sometimes what they were trying to imitate.
Ben Barnes does a good American accent. He does it on the Netflix series Punisher.
Jenna Coleman sounded like Leslie Knope
Oh, Jenna😕...that really was atrocious!
I thought she did a good job
Valerie Langdorf yeah but if you watch her auditions she usually does really good American accents also she still did better than anyone else on this video
Ben Barnes actually does a great American accent in the Punisher 😂😂
"Y'a wanna eat breakfast with us??" I actually laughed out loud.
You should make a Doctor Who video
I have fully folded myself into a human pretzel of discomfort.
1:10 POPPY!
I love the fact that in the UK cheerio means goodbye and in the US it's a cereal
Sailor Nate it's a cereal in the uk as well
Sailor Nate you are not smart at all. Cheerios aren't solely American. In fact they are really popular in Britain.
American Accents = NYC, Southern or LA, British = cockney?
how the hell has Britain not got you with your own show on prime time tv . Think of a show you want to do then sell to the uk public you are the right age more than enough talent yo have your own show on any channel your country needs you
HOLY FAKE TAN
Ermehgerd Ben Barnes you're so adorable >.
Wow i love it
Just like there are so many accents and dialects across the UK, there are equally as many across the US... that being said, I find it funny how so many Brits seem to think Americans either sound like Valley Girls or Southerners and Americans seem to think Brits sound Posh or Cockney. lol
Jenna was amazing.
Jenna ❤️
I usually couldn't tell which accent they were going for.
Too coo!
LOL BEN BARNES I LOVE HIM
I was just having fun on here, watching this video, and suddenly Ben Barnes' beautiful face appeared and attacked me with his gorgeusness!!! >///
Ok we've heard the celebs do their worst American/Brit accents, so now I throw down the gauntlet to you Siobhan to give us your Worst American accent. And this is coming from an Aussie with English parents currently living in the US
can 1:29 get more orange?
Not a huge Brad Pitt fan but he nailed the Pikeys accent in Snatch.
That "miserable" old guy made my day 😂
This was hilarious XD
These accents are actually spot on
Jenna is sooo beatiful
that orange guy though
0:03 is it Anna Alana?!?
There's a sci-fi series called Dominion. Not sure whether it's produced in the United States or Canada, but it has an Australian actor Alan Dale, and a British actor Anthony Head in it, and when they're on screen together, both trying to do a vaguely American accent, it's very cringe-worthy as they are so bad at it.
I always feel that brits are better at American accents than Americans are at British accents because they seem to only ever to posh English never Welsh Scottish Geordie scouse
peter lane You have to think about exposure. American accents are the most sensible accents for mostly all good films. Any British accent would be a rather colonial theme or "back in the old days". However, based on studies, some of the American accents are considered more indigenous than their English counterparts. Canadian accents as well. It makes perfect sense for the North America(excluding Mexico) being one of the first places colonized by European conquerors.
Ludvig Patterson what?
Serenity Moon What? Did you want me to introduce Central America because I am referring to the English colonization. I wasn't really thinking about nor for the Spanish or Portuguese.
BEN BARNES. MY CHILD.
Omg! Jenna's!
Ooh, I was trying to find Jenna Coleman doing a Scottish accent, and somehow found myself here.
Tom Hughes was alright though. Jon Favreau did the best.
Im here for jenna coleman and tom hughes
Same...😅
lol Almost Royal still in character.
Toodle-pip!
JON FAVREAU!
Lea Thomson is always drool worthy lol
***** Man, I've had the hots for her since Back to the future, and the only reason I watched Caroline.
+Dokka Chapman (The doKtor Dokka) yes most definitely drool inspiring !! I don't want to be too mean but she sounds like someone with a learning disability here!! In the BTTF 3 she does a passable IRISH accent as MARTY Mcfly's GREAT GRAN! ENJOY THE EVNING!!
Ben Barnes, where have you been?
Now can we have a name and shame video of all the celebs who told you to get lost.
Georgie and Poppy OMG Jenna Omg xD
Ah cheerio hahaha
ahhhhhhh Ben Barnes
I love how the Brits always choose an accent representing places like New York or southern part of American accents, whereas the Americans went very cockney English (I think that's right...).
bbc america's doctor who yeh right
why the hell was Ed Gamble orange?
I thought Cheerio meant breakfast was ready
haha lea thompson i loved it haha
1:28 Why is that guy's face so red?
