Concerto for 2 violoncellos, strings & b.c. in G minor (RV 531); the tempo is absolutely crazy , but charming!! I think Vivaldi would love this performance . Superb !!!

Antonio Artese said to Scott Yoo that Bach expressed repeatedly his huge appreciation to Vivaldi’s work, which he studied extensively. So, in that respect, it is very safe to admit that when we say that Bach is the father of classical music, Vivaldi must have been its grandfather.

Very well balanced grouping. Excellent interpretation, dynamics outstanding, as was the venue. Loved the 3rd cellist on continuo. Henri is so relaxed, and great tone. I want to record the second movement, all 3 parts myself. That'll be fun!

While the speed of the first movement is a bit exaggerated, I love the spirit of the ensemble carried out throughout this recording! The interpretation is refreshing and I can't find any other version I appreciate more. Well done all and you have much to be proud of with this effort start to finish!

Not necessarily: it is just a descending sequency with a repeating bass. That is a very common figure. Maybe it reminds you of the third moviment of the Summer because it is in the same tonality
