With 'Dust’, THRON incorporate new elements in their sound by going back to their very roots which lie in the early 80s when bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Mercyful Fate ruled the field, and at the same time taking inspiration from the 90s when bands like Tiamat, Edge of Sanity or Sentenced expanded their horizon. This combined with serious dedication to the glorious Progressive Rock dinosaurs of the 70s and the love for the dark extreme muscial arts with blasting fury and agressive vocals, and you get...Dust! . Everything is turning to dust someday…“.

The more times I listen, the better this gets. Arrangements are solid af.
What a quality mixture of dynamic song structures and powerful riffs with thundering vocals.
I love the dynamics of the whole mix, thank you for not falling into the ''compress the fuck out of everything'' trend.
The song structure is solid, and the album feels like it's made with love and care, not rushed. If you guys keep going at this pace, surely there is a bright future for you. :) can't wait for the next one!

As I'm writing these words, I'm actually discovering this band for the very first time. I'm truly impressed. I like the song structure, the riffs, the whole ensemble of instrumentation is perfectly well balanced and executed. Germany is seriously putting out great bands these last 10 years. I'm a collector that purchases albums in physical format so you can be sure that Thron will be added to my purchase basket sometime soon ( my list is long, my budget low), but Thron might just as well have made it to the top of my list to buy. Keep up the great work guys, Black Metal is definitely not dead with your guys. Thanks for sharing
Before getting this album make sure you listen to their album Pilgrim first. That album is a true masterpiece.

This is an extraordinary album; rich, deep and cultured. I keep coming back to this one, and might be on my list of AOTY contenders before 2023 is done. Tribulation is a personal fave and this is reminiscent and heavier in all the right ways. What a banger!

The last one has been outstanding and this seems to be just as good. Great band. And that cover artwork is brilliant.
I don't know man.... Pilgrim was masterful art. Not saying this is a bad album by any means but Pilgrim was so damn good that I find it hard for any band to top such an album.

Without doubt, it's a great album and a good band, but I'm still looking for that influence that the Iron Maiden label says , where is it? 🤷 .... there is a beastly influence at minute 30:33 to Dissection, listen the second guitar and go and check Unhallowed from Dissection...

Dissection ripoff..Black metal is obv dying. If it wasn't for Darkspace to produce something different I wouldn't listen to my used to be favourite genre.
