I've heard great things online about this kit, but your review puts it over the top for me. I'll have to get it after I build the Physo Zaku and Full Armor Gundam. Also, I've come to respect and enjoy your reviews and recommendations Jabman. Because of you I've come to really love this hobby!

I have mine nearly finished. Just waiting to top coat it. It is a great build and looks very nice. It does feel sparse on exterior details but certainly not a deal breaker. I don't think the bullpup gun is that bad, it's just a standard sidearm type weapon.
Lorewise, the GM Sniper II was given the bullpup SMG in situations where they have to fight inside space colonies. That way, they don't risk puncturing the walls of the colony, which will happen significantly if they used beam rifles
I'll be happy even if they make the Zaku FZ an RE line but yes, Kampfer 2.0 needs to be a thing. Wont happen anytime soon or at all but I'd love to see a Master Grade line of all the suits from 0080.
They teased this years ago on Kerero Gunso/Sgt Frog, I believe, but for years, it was a phantom. I'm glad we got it, and after your review, I'm glad we had to wait, given how excellent it is.
Jetfire48 gimme the k9 First XD I really want a k9 Ill propably pay around 70plus $ for it but I still need to have it also there were many replaceable Parts on the runners so everything is possible
I think the white dingo version solves the problem of small accessory count since it comes with an additional beam rifle, bazooka, and machine gun ontop of the new beam sniper rifle and shield

The weapons included with the GM sniper 2 are A bullpup machine gun, and the sniper rifle. I'm not sure why, but the mass production of this unit does not use any beam weapons...I believe there is one version that does use a beam sniper rifle from the GM Sniper 1, but....

As someone that just built the torso of this kit, it can be a bit difficult at times. It would be recommended to flip it up using your x-acto blade, a flathead screwdriver, or something similar. Keep in mind you won't see the full pilot, just his legs.
Barnes and Noble are cleaning out on their Japanese Merch so they're 20% off. Saw the bear Pettitgguy and liked those more, GM Sniper 2 there as well. Will probably buy more bear Gundam instead.
Actually jabman it mostly uses MG RX-78-2 2.0's frame for the kit it doesn't use Gundam the origin frame at all I believe (though I may be wrong about it not using the origin frame) and honestly out of all the kits eligable to get a RE1/100 treatment the GM Sniper 2 made sense it could of gotten a MG instead
Dudes and dudets i saw that model at brans and noble a couple months ago and guys and gals that toy is freaking awesome i mean seriously you just don't get good toys like anymore and don't see a toy like that every store so yeah I'm buying that bad boy pretty soon.
It's not really designed for it to look up It's neck has a joint in the collar so it can look farther down for you to be able to look down the scope easier
The Bandai online exclusive of this as the White Dingo Team has a crap load of accessories and for 44 dollars a piece they really are tempting people to buy three of them.
im sorry i meant jesta, Personally, im stuck between Gm sniper, sniper custom and Jesta. Most of my kits are thicc and lack poseability or are hand grenades and fall apart
This one, better articulated and Overall just a well rounded Kit. But if you prefer the Jestas Design, I would still suggest you getting the Mg Jesta, It's solid, still nicely articulated for such a bulky Design and Overall a good mg
Steffey Cheers mate, I am really stuck between the two as they're both excellent kits. The one issue for this kit in my opinion is that it can't hold the machine gun with the sniper rifle, as in if it had a gun holder for the machine gun. I would've choose this in a heartbeat.
Yuan Fang Qian Cant help you with that :| but you can always give the gun to Another Kit and make it dual wield XD also you already have unused beam saber effects lying around with both kits so a Sandwich bag would solve Most problems :D also if it helps, I think that in the Anime(or was this from a ova?) it never had a machine gun
jabman im a huge fan. but just like syd , you really need some lessons on "how to pose your gunpla" . maybe take some lessons from that kid lightning something , who poses his gunpla like it just came out from an animation.

Those Are hgs he normaly doesent Do hg Reviews and if he does on only if he really wants a ms in Kit Form, so either he loves the Design or he passes it.
Alexander Unknown this guy predates the zaku and big gun by decades you realize? also the big gun isn't as big as some zaju variants cause once an MSV verison of the zaku with an giant ass gun bigger than the big gun was shown in prototype stage for a MG but it never happened
Jetfire48 I was refering to the order the models were released in but if we are talking canon the gm sniper II was in 0080 and thunderbolt took place during 0079 so that would mean the big gun predates this gm. Correct me if i'm wrong.
On the contrary, I think a relatively simple kit can be nice, especially after how complicated some of them have been, and this was a mobile suit that was sorely due for a release

I don't know why are people going crazy over this kit. It's just a Jim. Nothing more, nothing less. Actually, I know. It's cheap and people like cheap and they like the MG sign in the corner of the box. And they like that they don't have to spend a week snapping the kit, like the Psycho Zaku demands for example. But it's so much of a meh kit to me that I just can't believe the hype behind it!
I think this kit just goes to show that sometimes a simple mobile suit design, with good articulation to make it poseable and solid accessories, will win the popular vote
Alpha 011 this is the newest kit. For it to be a crap they would have to pay no attention to past mistakes. Anyway, your argument still doesn't hold water. And for a kit to have two weapons and a simple shield... It's a Nemo.
Don't really know what argument I'm trying to put forth, just that even for a simple kit people still enjoy it. It still has good articulation and all that but so what if it has such few accessories? Why would it need more? If you don't like the design of a mobile suit don't buy it I guess.

I got this in the White Dingo colors. Absolutely fantastic kit. All of the additional accessories in that version make it that much better.

so i know he comes with a machine gun and shield but was it ever used when he was in the anime?
Cowdude Stratos pretty much no but typically most GMs came with those and that Sheild during the time the design was created

I built two days ago Jesta MG, it looks similar, but it`s not my favorite MG, posing is not so easy
