      let me know how it works out. It should take 2 weeks or so to get. I recall IWB it was much more tolerable than the Lobo IWB made for me.

    Simply Rugged is great. I use their G19 sized Cuda for a G22 that I did a grip chop, stipple job on. Fantastic holster and very attractive, I had the Celtic cross stamped/carved onto it.

      pankusogre Wow, that is a cool design for sure. A lot of people seem to say, "they look so simple" and I guess that's the point. Lead times are about 10 business days. Most custom holster makers are quoting anywhere from 6 weeks to 14 weeks! So far its working out well.

    If you haven't found out already, If your straps do go south on you, you can get replacements from the maker, or, you can replace them with metal, or even plastic belt clips. I`m with you, IWB. If you buy those belt clips online, you cane easily do it yourself. Me ? I use the metal ones, anything plastic scares me, Guns, Holsters, even some of Magazine Pouches. Good luck with that holster, it seems to be very well made, and also has a very decent price.

    I'm very interested in getting a revolver. I had the Ruger SP101 for a while but traded it off.

      Alex9x19 pretty good stuff - short lead time (2 weeks) and functional. May not look as good as some other custom makers but I think its worth it.

    I have maybe 4 of these holsters. They are excellent. It’s shocking how you can conceal a large revolver comfortably with these.

    I'm a big guy and enjoy my comfort by typically not wearing belts. Your videos have encouraged me to purchase the S&W 327 Pug as well. Are there any good IWB holsters that do not require the use of a belt without too many compromises? Is that even possible?

    • @TheOl1911
      @TheOl1911  Před 8 lety

      Hey there, wow another pug owner!? Amazing.... honestly I do not like IWB'ing this but I had one custom made by Lobo Gunleather however the original leather maker retired and sold his business to someone else who is using the same name. I made a vid on it here: czcams.com/video/08QEiKcyY28/video.html I also have a pocket holster coming in a few months...custom made by Mika...yeah pocket. we'll see, hahahaha. Other than that I don't know about a holster that does not require a belt.... I wouldn't but...Remora?

    Just picked up a pugnose and I'm seriously thinking of this holster. How have the straps held up? By the way I did use the sw secret service grips on mine (came off my 627). Like how yours looked when you had them. Bummer on them being stripped. How about the owb comparison between this and lobo. I like this better because it hide the hammer.

    • @TheOl1911
      @TheOl1911  Před 8 lety

      Congrats, amazing how many people are buying the 327 2"! Awesome. I no longer use the Simply Rugged and I actually gave it away to a sub that also bought the 327 2"...I can reach out to him to see if he is still using it.
      Speaking of Lobo it has held up very nicely however it squeaks like mad so I don't like that. I no longer carry the 327 2" at this time but plan on going back to carrying it at some point or even carrying it as a back up. I have Mika making a pocket holster for it! Funny.. but I also have a Kramer speed scabbard being made for it as well. So I'll try to do a comparison when I finally get it which won't be until October.
      But Simply Rugged did work out good and yes it covered the hammer and it felt good IWB actually.

      ***** so far so good for me. Impressed with how this carries. What are your concerns with it?

  • @Probablyshouldnthave
    @Probablyshouldnthave Před 9 lety

    Thats crazy you better get some huge bell bottoms. No matter how light it is it still going to be like a huge block on your leg.

    • @TheOl1911
      @TheOl1911  Před 9 lety

      R Dixon I know right!?!? But apparently Clint Smith does it and I saw the video where he explains and shows how he ankle carries the 327 2" and even does live fire drills. I was like WOW. But his pants were not huge. They looked like standard "tactical" pants. We'll see if this ankle holster comes through. I don't know...I like ankle carry but this would be something very interesting if I can pull it off. Having an 8-shot N-frame as a back up is pretty neat.

    • @TheOl1911
      @TheOl1911  Před 9 lety

      R Dixon got those pics, yes I will look into those grips. I actually have someone that wants to make an ankle holster for this wheelie!??!?! LOL, I know Clint Smith carries this on his ankle but not sure if I could. If I attempted I would definitely need to change the grips.
