    This answers my question somewhat about the abilities of a subcompact being able to care for a gravel drive. Thanks!

    Great video, this is exactly why you can never have too many tractors and too many implement choices....If i could only have one rear dirt moving attachment it would be a good rear straight blade like this....luckily i have several choices after many years of trading and buying ..i use them all on driveways depending on what i am wanting or needing to do at the time. Great example of a small machine using a light duty rear blade to do an excellent job with an experienced operator on board...

      I agree this style blade is my #1 pick for most jobs. Best case scenario is to have different blades for different tasks. Thanks for watching!

    Appreciate the tips! It may not be as "fancy" as a box blade, but the rear blade seems to be a very versatile tool. I have a box blade on order, but think a rear blade is going to be something I add to my short list. Have a great day!

      @khtractors  Před 2 lety +1

      You definitely need both in my opinion, just make sure if you get an angle blade that it will tilt also for ditching. This blade won’t but my big one does. Thanks for watching!

    Looks good Ben. I work our gravel driveway when the gravel migrates to the outside edges. I use a six foot blade with a 32 hp tractor. My technique is very similar to yours. I get lots of compliments on my driveway. It's 1600 ft. long. The only time I use a box is when the delivery driver gets them a little thick in one spot. I use 1/2 in. clean rock

    Where did you get the light bar for the bx? I think it’s the same one I bought for the M series. You make that bx to be about as handy as a pocket on a shirt! Looks like things are starting to warm up down there.! I may keep an eye out for a used rear blade I think I could find some use for it. Hoping to find a bigger dump truck too.

    What is the straight blade application use for when the blade isn’t angled left or right just straight?

    • @khtractors
      @khtractors  Před rokem

      To basically drag things straight behind you and to make a good smooth surface once you have the dirt/gravel positioned where you want it. Lots of uses for a good rear blade especially one that tilts to cut ditches and slopes.

    • @intensivemanagement
