cal has been active in fighting probably longer than kanan, be it becoming a padawan first or facing their first inquisitors. in terms of fights kanaan's best moments were the force being on his side. Cal only has some stims and occasional help minimal too except for the malicos fight. in terms of active fighting as a jedi cal might have a longer career than that compared to kanan cuz he was hiding his identity most of the time. maul and gi fights he had the force on his side cal's fight was mostly himself and minimal help... so which experience is much better you having the experience where you could pull off that kind of power at will or you having the experience of some crazy power that can only happen depending on the mood of the force.

In my opinion Fallen Order Cal wins as well, just the fight is a lot closer. Survivor Cal on the other hand is around Kit Fisto level… he’s an actual monster compared to Fallen Order.
I'll maybe make an exception to Survivor Cal, but not at all Fallen Order Cal. Cal was struggling with the second sister at that point, yet Kanan, by this time was also dispatching far superior characters like the Grand Inquisitor or Maul.
After Kal tapping in and out of the dark side and using it to his advantage, and using the dark illusion on a high republic Jedi, he’s pretty good tbh. Kind of Starkiller vibes with his force abilities.
Cal's biggest feats: Easily defeated the ninth sister, defeated Rayvis who killed many jedi, defeated Bode a former jedi who manipulated Cal, and defeated Dagan Gera a former jedi knight from the high republic that fell to the dark side. Being arrogant is the key characteristic of the Sith,Even Obi Wan defeated him in the same way during phantom menace as Maul thought he won and went easy on the already defeated Kenobi but still we count it as a victory of Obi Wan over Maul even the Jedi Council promoted him to Jedi Knight without trials for this sole reason, So Kanan defeating an Arrogant Maul can be counted as his victory

Menwhile Kanan just knocked Maul off a cliff. Kanan’s feat had way too much convenience and luck to be scalable while obi’s was after a head to head fight that he still almost won.

Yup, cause he had Cere to teach him the others. Depending on the stance he employs form 2 in blaster stance, form 5 in cross-guard and single blade, form 6 in dual wield and double blade (as well as when he combines force powers in combat in cutscenes), and form form 3 when deflecting blasters. Plus Jar'Kai for the dual wielding.
In terms of lightsaber combat yes, tho heavily unmatched in the force bc cal would just use the dark side whenever he feels he is losing. Kanans lineage was very powerful in lightsaber combat straining from Mace Windu and Yoda. Because of his form 3 mastery, he’d be able to hold off cal for a while until cal would just find ways to exploit kanan.

Also Cal had Cere to help him train a bit more with a lightsaber, which is why his double bladed saber skills have improved so much as well as his use of form 2 when in blaster stance.
i think the force is more connected with kanan he becomes something of a force ghost after he dies as part of him lives on within the loth wolf and the force also grants him his vision back before he dies he also gets rid of maul literally just after becoming blind, defeats the grand inquisitor, goes toe to toe with the other inquisitors, and is underestimated by them all maybe cal is more powerful but i definitely think it would be closer to an even match

The plot armor argument is a baby argument because every main character is always going to be able to have that "excuse", kanan you could easily argue also had plot armor in rebels as well since the grand inquisitor didn't kill him immediately or maul as well.

Respectfully I have to disagree cal kestis does not have more experience then kannan jarrus. Kannan wasn’t picked by his master department bilaba he had a strong force bond with her And ended up being her Palawan which cal was picked by jarro tapal, Kanan was in the clone wars longer then cal fought in at least two battles in the war fought during the assasination attempt on the Jedi temple and helped stop it watched his master get killed by his clones some of his best freinds in the war he then had to fend for himself on the streets of the planet he was stuck on, had to change his name, change everything he knew had become a criminal to survive, and learn how to use a blaster and then shut himself off from the force. Eventually later in life he found Ezra on lothal and decided to train him as his padawan even though he never finished his own training and was a padawan taught him how to be a Jedi by helping those in need and teaching him to care about people and not be out for yourself, other then that he fought the grand inquisitor beat him after he brought balance to himself and excepted that he couldn’t save the ones he loved, he then fought darth Vader, got blinded by darth maul, learned how to see through the force and saved Ezra and brought Ezra back from the dark side, wile after words fighting the empire while being blind and later saved Ezra, Hera and Sabine by sacrificing himself holding back the flames from the roaring explosion from the fuel depot and while doing so the force granted his sight back so he could see Hera with his own eyes one last time, after that he came back through the force as a loth wolf. Idk maybe I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure cal had some decent new powers in Jedi survivor but he definitely wasn’t on kannas level
If we take experience as a Jedi Cal reconnected with The Force earlier than Kanan. And If we take that Cal started his rebelion path also earlier than Kanan and at the time of beginning of Rebels Cal was part of Rebelion like 9 Years

Same Cal beat the 9th Sister, who is debatably the most physically able Inquisitor(outside of 5th Brother). Same Cal took on a CW Jedi Master named Taron Malicos and was able to somewhat match him in dueling, only needing Merrin's help later on to beat him. Survivor Cal one shotted the 9th Sister, who as I said is debatably the most physically able Inquisitor. He outdueled Dagan Gera, who was stated to be a gifted and renowned jedi master of the High Republic era. And he was able to kill multiple jedi of his time also with little difficulty. Cal matches him. Even Rayvis acknowledges this. Cal beat and killed Rayvis, which is stated to be a Gendaii that has killed multiple jedi before. He was able to beat Bode, who was stated to be a Clone Wars jedi knight pretty easily in a duel, killed the Rancor, fought with the Fifth Brother after FO, and more. He also matched with Dagan Gera in the force, whom was able to make force illusions, summon force clones and literally make a new hand with the force, none of which has been showed in canon before Trained with Cere Junda, who was a jedi master for 5 years so he actually had more jedi training also Cal wins
I'd say battle IQ just because he has been in fights where he's needed a good battle IQ and from what I've seen, Cal's master would focus much more on lightsaber combat while I feel like Kanan's master would mainly focus on the force
Kanan indisputably takes force power and Endurance. Force power - Kanan one-handed a massive explosion and force pushed Hera and the Ghost Crew away with the other, before launching the ship away completely. And an early Kanan and Ezra were capable of hurling astroids through space at a ship (comics). Endurance - Kanan also defeated both the Grand Inquisitor and Maul while both times being in a weakened state, (he was tortured before his fight with the Grand Inquisitor, slashed across the face by a lightsaber and freshly blinded against Maul) Those are just the downright wrong ones but a few of these other stats are arguable as well. I get Jedi Survivor is new and fresh in everyone's heads, but the Kanan downplay I'm seeing in the comments is ridiculous. Get Dagan and Bode past season 2 finale kanan, let alone prime seasons 3 & 4 Kanan.
To clarify though, the stats mistakes goes both ways, Cal should get knowledge, he got a lot of training from Cere who is a powerful Jedi Master. Meanwhile post-66 outside of some minor instruction from the Bendu Kanan was self-taught through and through.
That is not durability you just described that is endurance and Cal canonically surviving two lightsaber hits, and a blaster bolt as a child and having no seemingly long term injuries, definitely gives Cal better durability and maybe endurance (endurance is heavily debatable and you can give that point to Kanan, I will raise no objections)
Also Dagan was stated to be one of the finest Jedi knights of the high republic. While I wouldn’t say this makes him like, the strongest Jedi of his time, it’s fair to assume he would only be a tier below the likes of Yoda during the high republic and about approximately the same as another great Jedi, Loden Greatstorm for example. Loden was a Jedi with a very strong connection to the force and was stated to be one of the strongest Jedi of his time (strongest ≈ finest tomato tomata), and was able to use this power to lift an entire MOUNTAIN (admittedly with small help from their padawan but cmon, it’s a padawan they really didn’t help much). Even if Dagan isn’t as strong as Loden the fact that he was described as one of the finest Jedi of his time when the caliber of a strong Jedi was so high is still an impressive feat. I would say this definitely puts him above the likes of season 3 & 4 Kanan.
And if we take Rayvis’s statement that Cal is Dagan’s equal at face value, and Dagan is ≈ To a guy who could lift an entire mountain then Cal undoubtedly takes force power. But this is very speculative and not concrete so I wouldn’t blame you for giving Kanan force power but its definitely not as clear cut as you are making it seem, especially considering the fact that Cal was able to put an imperial drill out of commission with the help of merrin

Depending on the stance he employs form 2 in blaster stance, form 5 in cross-guard and single blade, form 6 in dual wield and double blade (as well as when he combines force powers in combat in cutscenes), and form form 3 when deflecting blasters. Plus Jar'Kai for the dual wielding.

In terms of lightsaber combat yes, tho heavily unmatched in the force bc cal would just use the dark side whenever he feels he is losing. Kanans lineage was very powerful in lightsaber combat straining from Mace Windu and Yoda. Because of his form 3 mastery, he’d be able to hold off cal for a while until cal would just find ways to exploit kanan.

Respectfully I have to disagree cal kestis does not have more experience then kannan jarrus. Kannan wasn’t picked by his master department bilaba he had a strong force bond with her And ended up being her Palawan which cal was picked by jarro tapal, Kanan was in the clone wars longer then cal fought in at least two battles in the war fought during the assasination attempt on the Jedi temple and helped stop it watched his master get killed by his clones some of his best freinds in the war he then had to fend for himself on the streets of the planet he was stuck on, had to change his name, change everything he knew had become a criminal to survive, and learn how to use a blaster and then shut himself off from the force. Eventually later in life he found Ezra on lothal and decided to train him as his padawan even though he never finished his own training and was a padawan taught him how to be a Jedi by helping those in need and teaching him to care about people and not be out for yourself, other then that he fought the grand inquisitor beat him after he brought balance to himself and excepted that he couldn’t save the ones he loved, he then fought darth Vader, got blinded by darth maul, learned how to see through the force and saved Ezra and brought Ezra back from the dark side, wile after words fighting the empire while being blind and later saved Ezra, Hera and Sabine by sacrificing himself holding back the flames from the roaring explosion from the fuel depot and while doing so the force granted his sight back so he could see Hera with his own eyes one last time, after that he came back through the force as a loth wolf. Idk maybe I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure cal had some decent new powers in Jedi survivor but he definitely wasn’t on kannas level

FO Cal beat the Second Sister quite easily. It's stated that the 2nd Sister and the Grand Inquisitor are about equal in power and or dueling. Same Cal beat the 9th Sister, who is debatably the most physically able Inquisitor(outside of 5th Brother). Same Cal took on a CW Jedi Master named Taron Malicos and was able to somewhat match him in dueling, only needing Merrin's help later on to beat him.
Survivor Cal one shotted the 9th Sister, who as I said is debatably the most physically able Inquisitor. He outdueled Dagan Gera, who was stated to be a gifted and renowned jedi master of the High Republic era. And he was able to kill multiple jedi of his time also with little difficulty. Cal matches him. Even Rayvis acknowledges this. Cal beat and killed Rayvis, which is stated to be a Gendaii that has killed multiple jedi before. He was able to beat Bode, who was stated to be a Clone Wars jedi knight pretty easily in a duel, killed the Rancor, fought with the Fifth Brother after FO, and more. He also matched with Dagan Gera in the force, whom was able to make force illusions, summon force clones and literally make a new hand with the force, none of which has been showed in canon before

Kanan indisputably takes force power and Endurance.
Force power - Kanan one-handed a massive explosion and force pushed Hera and the Ghost Crew away with the other, before launching the ship away completely. And an early Kanan and Ezra were capable of hurling astroids through space at a ship (comics).
Endurance - Kanan also defeated both the Grand Inquisitor and Maul while both times being in a weakened state, (he was tortured before his fight with the Grand Inquisitor, slashed across the face by a lightsaber and freshly blinded against Maul)
Those are just the downright wrong ones but a few of these other stats are arguable as well. I get Jedi Survivor is new and fresh in everyone's heads, but the Kanan downplay I'm seeing in the comments is ridiculous.
Get Dagan and Bode past season 2 finale kanan, let alone prime seasons 3 & 4 Kanan.
To clarify though, the stats mistakes goes both ways, Cal should get knowledge, he got a lot of training from Cere who is a powerful Jedi Master.
Meanwhile post-66 outside of some minor instruction from the Bendu Kanan was self-taught through and through.
Finally some respect for one of the goats. Cal is getting overhyped because he's becoming a starkiller type power fantasy.
That is not durability you just described that is endurance and Cal canonically surviving two lightsaber hits, and a blaster bolt as a child and having no seemingly long term injuries, definitely gives Cal better durability and maybe endurance (endurance is heavily debatable and you can give that point to Kanan, I will raise no objections)
Also Dagan was stated to be one of the finest Jedi knights of the high republic. While I wouldn’t say this makes him like, the strongest Jedi of his time, it’s fair to assume he would only be a tier below the likes of Yoda during the high republic and about approximately the same as another great Jedi, Loden Greatstorm for example. Loden was a Jedi with a very strong connection to the force and was stated to be one of the strongest Jedi of his time (strongest ≈ finest tomato tomata), and was able to use this power to lift an entire MOUNTAIN (admittedly with small help from their padawan but cmon, it’s a padawan they really didn’t help much). Even if Dagan isn’t as strong as Loden the fact that he was described as one of the finest Jedi of his time when the caliber of a strong Jedi was so high is still an impressive feat. I would say this definitely puts him above the likes of season 3 & 4 Kanan.
And if we take Rayvis’s statement that Cal is Dagan’s equal at face value, and Dagan is ≈ To a guy who could lift an entire mountain then Cal undoubtedly takes force power. But this is very speculative and not concrete so I wouldn’t blame you for giving Kanan force power but its definitely not as clear cut as you are making it seem, especially considering the fact that Cal was able to put an imperial drill out of commission with the help of merrin
