    Hello, why is your "count" automatically together? Like, I have four (4) W2 and in the scheduling, they are individually placed? I have 4 W2 rows that has a count of 1? how do I fix this?

    • @Studio_Hero
      @Studio_Hero  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I believe you’ll want to visit the sorting and grouping tab for that field and check “calculate totals” and uncheck “itemize every instance”

    Hi, thanks for the clear and in depth tutorial. How do you do this for curtain wall opening? I have a mixture of window and curtain wall openings.

      Hey Dominique! I’m going to try and make a video for you this week. Are you trying to schedule out each piece of glazing?

    • @dnkarch
      @dnkarch Před 3 lety +1

      @@Studio_Hero Thanks Ben. I got the answers from our email com. Schedule is for the whole of the opening and not individual piece of glazing.

      Hi Ben, just found out that Revit won't allow you to copy a curtain wall assembly. In my model, there are openings that have more than one instances and thus in my schedule duplicates are not listed as same. It does look that I have to do one assembly for each curtain wall opening which is time consuming. Do you have a solution for this? Thanks as always.

    • @dnkarch
      @dnkarch Před 3 lety

      I tried a new file and drafted a curtain wall opening, converted it to an assembly. When I tried to copy the assembly, Revit will state "Selection cannot be copied.
      Mullions and panels cannot be copied without copying the entire curtain wall." Figured out it I needed to do a selection crop around the whole of the assembly and it did work. Still did not understand why? In my working model, the assembly is not isolated and it can be difficult to select same.

      @dnkarch Před 3 lety

      Ah Got it! You need to select both the original curtain wall opening and the assembly as well. Now it is working. Still have to figure out now whether it will read as the same instance.

    I suppose you typed in the type marks for each piece of your legend. I'm wondering why Revit doesn't find a way to automatically add the type marks.
    Nice tuto.

    • @Studio_Hero
      @Studio_Hero  Před 4 lety +2

      Yes, the type marks are typed for the legend in the video. I agree, there should be an automatic legend tag!

      @jamiemasters7401 Před 4 lety +1

      Even if you could add a category tag in the legend workspace as you can in elevations or plans that'd be helpful.

      @leben1841 Před 4 lety +1

      @@jamiemasters7401 Absolutely. In the 2021 release they added the possibility to colorize schedules rows... well, there are many more improvements to perform on more serious functions.

    Thanks a lot for helping me out through your tutorial sir but can you help me understand how change door tags and how to count em? I've been trying to type but the number is locked and I don't like having similar rows several time on my schedule, please can you assist?

    • @Studio_Hero
      @Studio_Hero  Před 3 lety +1

      For sure! I’ll make a video later w details - but it may be a month or two out from now. You need to edit the sorting and grouping tab- sort by mark then family type (or whatever you prefer) and uncheck itemize every instance I believe. Then in formatting tab calculate totals for “count” field.

    Is there any way to add the type mark as well, like you did?

    • @Studio_Hero
      @Studio_Hero  Před rokem

      You might be able to create a parametric tag but I believe I manually put in text to identify the type mark over those legends.

    How can I add door tags or window tags i.e "D1 ,w1" in legends sheet ?

    • @Studio_Hero
      @Studio_Hero  Před 3 lety

      I believe I had to manually put text on the sheet through the annotate tab.

      @alekseisljusarev5513 Před 3 lety +2

      Yeah, manually. Welcome to 21 century's leading BIM software.
      It is the endless pain and suffering after switching from ArchiCAD to Revit. It takes less time to make W/D spec in ArchiCAD than to make a legend in Revit with a single unit.
