Rampage's jump is not a ground target cast. The first cast jumps the full distance every time and you can recast to land at any point along the jump.

If you auto while in the air it instantly pulls you down. You might have tried jumping a few times while autoing, which is why you just kinda up-downed seemingly randomly

You can tell when your hunt (your jungle dagger) is upgraded because it will visually change. The un-upgraded version looks like a small, simple dagger, and the upgraded version has a larger, more jagged blade as the icon

Rampage leap goes up forward every time. The only way to make it go close to you is to auto attack immediately after using it. It says in the ability description.
An auto attack will cancel your jump early if you are mid jump

You can check if you have upgraded hunt (smite) by holding CTRL and itll show on the left side. If you have x40 it is upgraded. Anything below and it isnt. Also rampages pounce ability doesnt lock on and cancels of you spam the button or auto. Basically you can short jump or time when you want to stop your pounce by autoing.

Instead, let me tell you how many times I’ve scuffed it thinking it had an indicator only to press lmb right as I click the ability - many times!
Hunt visually changes when upgraded, starting as a phone knife and turning into a metal dagger. You can also press control and look at your buffs on the left side of the screen to see how many jungle monsters you have killed to keep track of progress. Then you can use your judgment with that information see if you might have an upgraded smite before the enemy or objective priority
The jungle and support crest have diminishing returns on lane minions. You still get exp from killing minions and if you are within a certain range you will split it with the laner. Only the hero who last hits the minion or monster gets the bonus gold. Saphir's mantle stack increases only from the damage of the item proc but does count it for every hero hit.
Also, items that increase a hero's size like saphir's and giant ring stack the size increases and also increase the size of a hero's abilities after they're activated. This is seen on Rickor who can use Saphir's and then ult(which doesn't work the other way around) to increase the suppression range.

I’m sure it’s been said already, but you can tell when the smite is upgraded by looking at the dagger icon. The icon is noticeably different once you realize it.
I'm having more fun watching this than Smite, Smite has kinda fell off for me these days
I'm the opposite. I love playing and watching pred, but it's gotten so much more difficult and stressful recently and it's so nice to just play smite and relax.
I don't play much this game but I do enjoy watching others play.

I’ve been playing Pred a ton and love it but matches really are almost always one sided. Still though, Smite 2 looks like early PS3 graphics, Pred has so much more style imo.

Love your content. Though I will say, this may be a good reminder to stop and read abilities even mid game if questions arise. Listening to that jump rant was pretty rough when the ability is easily explained in the in game help tab.

Hey man I’m a former paragon player and had my fair share of rampage gameplay, I do believe when ur tryna yeet yourself you end up attacking afterwards causing him to end it early, u can attack and cancel it. Also it’s a leap forward not a jump on target so if u wanna jump on a target infront of you u need to jump early rather than right on them

Been watching your content for years, loving the pred vids. I’m a noob in Moba’s (less than 20 hours played in smite). Should I try Pred?

Rampage with bruiser build is amazing, little bit attack speed and crit early and the rest you go basic tank items. If the game goes very late game, you can sell your damage items for more tankyness.

I played this game in 2016, when it was just paragon, it actually introduced me to smite around that time :-)
I haven’t played “that” game since paragon, but if I recall correctly the rampage jump is the same every time, the difference is if you double tap the jump, then it acs a lot like cliodhna’s dash from smite.
I could be wrong but you can try it out Mast.
on the left side where buffs are shown there's one called "The Hunt" ypu gain a stack everytime you kill a jungle monster/buff. Once it's at 40 stacks it evolves the knife. Hope this helps 👍

the rock to camp clear is usually nice to start the clear, by throwing it down right against them for the splash damage

Blue buff would have been better going to Kwang as he would have got more use out of it and it might have helped me while he was struggling in offlane... Also jungler letting him have it would have made him feel less isolated

At 7 minutes the Orb is still Mini Prime and it’s probably better than first Fangtooth. You can open up a lane and take way more map pressure, allowing for more neutral objectives in the long run.

not really tbh, in a 5v5 game like this I think you pretty much just have to hard carry people to win more than 50% of the time. making callouts for your rotations and objectives definitely helps though
You’re double tapping his jump. If you press it again while he’s in the air he will instantly land. It doesn’t lock on

Only bad thing I hate about this game is early game minions, they literally just kill you so fast
They also only aggro on direct hits like autos but not aoe abilities. Can be tilting in duo

3:11 my guess is that since grux has multiple aoe-ish abilities, he can clear the 3 camp much faster than the blue.
With the closer proximity to lane he probably went for the closer option to clear so he could make it back to lane faster.
Solo laners invading that 3 camp is fairly common if they have lane advantage and know the jungler isnt near.
Edit: and if crunch was the one to clear it, same logic applies, but for a fast clear he can grab as he wraps for a gank
The jungle DOES get reduced income from lane minions but laners DO NOT get reduced income from jungle. It's stated on the "smite" item description or "hunt" (can't remember official term).
Early surrender (or F1) and childish tilting are a massive problem in this game. I could blame it on modern culture and capitalism training people to crave instant gratification, highlighting only the importance of winning and the myopic nature of individualism in a team game.... But instead I'm just going to blame the kids.... and Tik Tok...
Oh yeah and Mini Prime is best given to the mid or off laners as it boosts minions and helps them take down towers....but individualism, Tik Tok, etc

I really like the gameplay in this game, however the community has killed my ability to enjoy it. i havent played in weeks, every game there is a toxic fuck spam pinging, feeding, griefing, etc. Last game i played I qued as solo, got put into jungle, then got flamed and had the whole loss blamed on me when jungle is the literal only role i dont play. I think this is why people dont play moba anymore because at least in an fps, the game lasts a max of 20 minutes, and you can somewhat play by yourself even if you have a toxic teammate. The community always kills my enjoyment of mobas every time.
I think this is a YOU issue, you need to work on that. You sound too soft to be playing any team competitive game, you will always get those guys blaming the loss on someone, you shouldn't let that get to you and prevent you from enjoying the game. Toughen up or play single player games.
Pred's community definitely seems worse than Smite's so far. MOBA's in general have pretty competitive communities and that tends to mean a lot of toxicity. I think it'll get a little better with the brawl gamemode that comes out tomorrow and ranked whenever it comes out so that people have better options to learn the game.
It's a loud minority and I wouldn't be surprised if it's teenagers who I would give a pass but you can't tell who's who from the chat. You can also mute and report people, and you'll see most people are chill. That said I think the devs could add more in game messages that tell people to behave and be a good sport.
