I love his voice, love this song and especially when Cher kicks in her voice! Such strong powerful voices!
My step son was a great friend of Elijah's. Cher loved him for keeping him on the straight and narrow.
Why has she said she would never have grandchildren? I only ask this with love and respect so please don't take it as something else. I'm trying to learn. Are her two children unable to have them for some reason(s)?

His voice is incredible but Cher’s voice is damn phenomenal.She gives me the chills every single time I hear her singing.

@@carmineredd1198 I've read the police report, which is quite extensive, and I've read several newspaper accounts. Scooter made a plea deal and got out in 30 months. The feds were after the Dixie Mafia, and being supportive if Jimmy Carter. a lot was politically motivated.
When I suggest that you read the book, I mean Allman's bio. He doesn't attempt to weasel out, but it does lend light on why he did what he did, and why his band mates and others eventually forgave him.

WOW, this song works. This is probably one of the better versions of this song that I've ever heard. This proves that Cher dispite her age, can still take it to any young person, and still beat them. When Cher comes in, it's like Woah, this women still has it. I've always loved Cher unique voice.

He has a band that's been around since 1995/1997
He has a band named " Deadsy" they suck "Omg" you would of thought having Cher as a mother & Gregg Allman as a dad he'd be talented . Goes to show you he had been coveted by his mom you can bet his dad sadly being a herion addict probably was never there as a good father figure but, what can you do ? I'm sure the one best thing he did recieve was love from his parents .

Elijah really looks like his father Gregg Allman. I remember an interview with his mother Cher where she talked about this duet with her son. She said because the movie was a period piece set in 1969, she and Elijah worked to preserve the integrity of the original recording in their cover, so that it would blend in seamlessly with the rest of the soundtrack. They did a great job.

I'm not a big fan of covers, but mother and son did a great job with this song. I loved the original and it's nice to hear when someone does a cover, when they add their personal touch to the song but they keep the integrity of the original song.

My son went to a club ( The whiskey?) and said Elijah was performing, Cher was in the audience with a group of folks, at a private table, a How sweet is that?
Wouldn't this world be a boring place without music....I have so many different songs sung by either 1 person or a band...I'm thankful God gifted various people with abilities to play instruments, compose melodies and write such well written lyrics.....music is good for the soul and to me a necessity that brings much joy to the listener...if someone reading this has any kind of inkling to pursue any kind of avenue in their life that has anything to do with music/singing...I say go for it and God bless your endeavors and in the words of one of my favorite singers (Karen Carpenter) "Sing, sing a song, sing out loud, sing out strong, sing of good things not bad, sing of happy not sad, don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear, just sing, sing a song!...Much thanks to all various musicians who share your gifts to the world...Amen :-)

This song is great with Elijah's voice, then when Cher comes in at 1:24 it becomes epic. For me Cher is the punch this song needs. She just belts like she has been doing for close to 50 some years. I guess I'm just old fashion in the way I like Cher over Elijah. Cher just has a voice like no other.
