As a young man in the 80's, I found myself working in Saudi Arabia. Based on my personal observations, I quietly said to myself that this country will dramatically changed when, in the future, is ruled by the younger generations.
Foreign films shown in television, increased number of the population who study and travel and constant contact with the outside modern world will pave new things, unheard of in the past.

Seeing the end of oil profits, change is needed to keep the economy going... Tourism is one high priority plan. As a tourist in Saudi Arabia... Quite frankly it was bloody brilliant. Couldn't recommend the kingdom more highly.

@@damienlucifer5 When we were there that was certainly an issue. We had a guide appointed to us to help us navigate our way around. He was amazing an we still keep in close contact. He simply said “remember where you are…” We honestly had no problems at all and were extremely welcomed by everyone we came across. My partner said she felt so safe because everything was looked after and done for her at all times. She was treated very well. Better then me to be honest 😂

I strongly believe "facade" is the right word to describe all this. Saudi understood that world is shifting away slowly from oil dependency to other energy solutions. Hence Saudi needs to convert itself into a more "democratic", "secular" , "outgoing", "tolerant" and "accepting". These are done to make the rest of world feel comfortable with Middle East and start investing in Middle East.
Thus, India itself should first become a secular, more tolerant, accepting and outgoing instead of requesting others to do so. Literal Hypocrisy!
