Plows were out in force to clear the interstate and surrounding roads as a potent winter system exited South Dakota on Tuesday night. The storm that was responsible for shutting down I-90 on one of the busiest travel days forced many truckers to wait out the worst of the weather at area truck stops. The snow changed over to freezing rain for much of the area, turning some roads into a sheet of ice overnight. The storm was also responsible for sporadic reports of wind damage.
Package includes:
Snow plows and semis at truck stop
Snow plow on Rapid City roads
I-90 signage warning of winter driving conditions
Driver POV of wet and icy I-90
Downtown Rapid City and pedestrian
Moisture barrier on side of building torn by wind
Cars covered in deep snow
I lived in Rapid City for about ten years. It seems like the storms lose a lot of power on the Rocky Mountains, BUT, builds back up with a vengeance when gets back into the area between The Big Horns and the Black Hills. These storms are something to see, beautiful, and scary as hell at the same time.

Thirteen miles from the Mackinaw bridge and not a flake if snow to be seen. Strange weather
I wish the rest of the country would get into the Wintertime act of snowing. Despite driving in it and it's inconveniences on business, it's still pretty to see and fun to play in! ❄️

In Michigan, it's 52°and raining... We want snow, badly.....
