Great video! Here is a tip for anyone doing the double joint with the ball in the center. Put the first U-joint in like he did, then put the flat end piece in the 2nd U-joint spot and stand the whole driveshaft up on the flat end. The weight of the driveshaft will compress the spring such that the u-joint cups will line right up so you can get the last two cups in.

Thanks allot. Really helped. I didn't know why I had 2 springs. You're the only video I found that talks about only using the one.

You can grease it after, there is a greasing point, it's not a traditional nipple, idk what it's called, but you have buy the head that clips onto your regular grease gun from any parts store to grease it

Great informative video. Looks nice painted! Any idea what the manufacturer and part number is for the boot?

I anticipate you having to grind the stops some on that driveshaft to get it to droop down enough to bolt to the axle, because of your lift. Keep us updated on that if you have to or not.

Stopped at 3 min. If you speed up the film so we can not see how you strip stuff whats the point?

Love the video, but part numbers on all the parts would have been helpful.

Hello, could you possibly go into more detail about the CV ball replacement? You mentioned special tools, what would they be called? I need to replace mine; I'd prefer not to cut but if that's the only way I will.

The special tools are GM specific tools that only the dealers had access to and have since been discontinued. Likely won’t be able to get it anywhere. It would be called a puller and installer, but I don’t imagine you’d be able to find them anywhere
